We first sampled Domani at a Yelp event and enjoyed some excellent apps......the cheesed grapes and crostini were memorable.  That also meant we had to return and finally did.  This time tried the fried mozzarella/ricotta app, then on to eggplant parmesan and unique spaghetti with lemon-rocotta meatballs.  And a Asian pear dessert nicely capped the meal.

The setting is elegant yet casual, service is friendly and informed, prices were reasonable..    An above average dining experience.

We didn't make reservations on a Friday but still were seated right away despite a packed house.  Our server was a little slow to the table, but the manager noticed and comped our appetizers.  No complaints here!  The mussels were delicious.  The sauce is almost like a mild thai curry but on the sweeter side.  They were perfect.  The rolled grapes are one of my favorites.  They are the perfect mix of savory and sweet.   I had the filet as my entree.  It was cooked perfectly and the bleu cheese mashed potatoes pair perfectly with it.  My fiancee had the salmon.  Also delicious from the one bite I got before it disappeared.  All in all, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Seminole Heights.  I love the atmosphere (live jazz) and the food never misses.

Wow. This was an unexpected find. I was traveling to Tampa for work, and I really did not expect to find a place of such high quality.

My colleague and I went for dinner and we each ordered a glass of red wine (I had an organic Chilean cabernet that was outstanding), shared the 5 piece charcuterie plate, and had the pork osso bucco.

The charcuterie plate included homemade mozzarella, taleggio, and brie cheeses, prosciutto, and bresaola, along with some savory sides of candied walnuts, green and kalamata olives, grapes, dried figs, and roasted peppers. While the prosciutto was smooth, but not especially flavorful, the bresaola was very tasty. Each of the cheeses was outstanding. The brie was very creamy and had great character without being too earthy, and the taleggio was subtly wonderful.

The size of the pork (yes pork) osso bucco was "Fred Flinstone" portioned, according to our waitress, and she was right. Quantity is nothing without quality, though, the meat clearly came from a high quality supplier. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked enough to be nicely carmelized while still retaining a very nice texture. There was a hint of lemon in addition to the savory herbs used to cook the osso bucco as well. The beautiful pork was complimented by a deftly prepared homemade paradelle. Hats off to the chef for pulling off this delightful twist on a traditional standby.

The service was very attentive and friendly with a quality and knowledge appropriate to the high level of food being served.

For me, there were just a couple of negatives. One was the espresso at the end - no crema, and pretty mediocre. The other was the homemade focaccia. It was passable and fresh, but not up to the rest of the restaurant's standard. Fix those two items, and I'd give this place five stars.

On the whole, though, this is an outstanding restaurant. I'm extremely picky about Italian food, and I would definitely come back to try more of their food.

I went on a recent Saturday night. The food was excellent and definitely worth going back for. Especially since one usually has to travel further to South Tampa (or down the street to Refinery)  for similar quality. The deconstructed Pina Colada was great. I loved the grapes and the flatbread special. My rack of lamb was a small portion and a bit undercooked, but very tasty. Mom loved the eggplant parm, the kids raved about their burgers, and hubby liked the grouper (though not the peas and carrots it came with.) The main problem was that on that particular night, they seemed totally unprepared to handle the crowd. (And the acoustics with music and a packed house were awful- we could barely hear one another at our table.) We were in no hurry, so it wasn't a huge deal... but 45 minutes from the time they cleared our appetizers until the entrees came out was tooooo loooong. Service was painfully slow but very friendly, not a hint of attitude, and frankly very apologetic by the end. The hostess/manager offered free desserts for having to take some of our chairs away to accommodate another party- but by that time we were full and had been there 2.5 hours so we skipped it. I will most definitely give it another try.... but probably on a weeknight.

Domani is a real gem and lives up to the hype I'd been hearing the last few months.

My dining mate and I took at seat at the bar while waiting for our table. As we sat there with the sun coming through the windows, we both agreed the vibe here felt more like we Brooklyn or the East Village rather than little ol' Tampa. I would have been happy posting up at their bar all night.

Our cocktails were excellent and the bartenders were so friendly. I think every bartender greeted us while we were sitting there. I had the Blueberry Basil Lemonade which was as pretty as it was refreshing. My friend had the Bee Sting which was a lethal amount of moonshine (which they store in a big mason jar!), honey and ginger beer.

Once we were seated, we were given their delicious focaccia with a pesto-like dipping sauce. We ordered the pistachio and brie rolled grape appetizer which I had read about in other reviews and they did NOT disappoint. For my main I had the rack of lamb crusted with goat cheese and pistachios. It was cooked to perfection -- so tender covered with just the right amount of the cheese/nut topping which complemented rather than overpower the lamb flavor. I also ordered a side of blue cheese mashed potatoes which were UNREAL.

Although I was stuffed, I had to get dessert and went with the flourless chocolate torte with raspberry coulis. It wasn't huge, which was a good thing since I just wanted a few bites. It was just the right amount of decadent to top off an amazing meal.

My only complaint is that our server wasn't very attentive, but I was enjoying the food and ambiance so much that I didn't mind. I can't wait to move closer and spend more time here.

I would highly recommend the grapes wrapped in brie and pistachios. I would never think that this combination would work in the least, but it did. It was fantastic. It made me think that the chef in the kitchen really knows his craft. Atmosphere was great, nice customer service. The bread is to die for, and the walnut, pesto sauce they serve with the bread was delicious.  For the main dish I had the eggplant Parmesan, that was delicious also, a lot of food though, so be prepared to take some home.

Excellent service, great atmosphere, fantastic food.
I will come back for jazz night soon, sounds fun!

This place was AAAMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGGGGG!  I kept hearing the groans about price, but it was SO worth it.  Live music and good beer.  The owners were pointed out so you know the love is in it.  On top of it is an understatement.

We started with the choice of 3 cheese & charcuterie plate.  I don't love brie usually, but the brie choice blew my mind.  The duck was... interesting, I would try something else next time, but it still gets a 4 out of 5 stars.  Grapes, sweet baked pecans, it was a great was to start the meal.

Oh, and the focaccia was outa control.  I would have ordered more, but the portion was good and I knew more good was coming.

    Then dinner.

I had the eggplant parm which was great.  They layer the fried eggplant with FRESH mozz that has great flavor.  The francese (red sauce) was excellent.  Super fresh.  I would definitely recommend it.  Classic with a twist.

Then then lamb chops.  Three words: oh. my. God.
My husband ordered them so I ended up looking like a mongrel literally sucking the meat off of the end of the lollipops.  Without consent I stole two of them (luckily he has a light appetite) and looked like an absolute fool moaning, eyes rolling back in my head as I indulged in an orgasmic display whilst floating in lamb chop heaven.  Like butta.  They were the most delicious thing to ever pass my lips.  Seriously.  Oh. My. God.

Dylan (named after Bob Dylan) was our waiter.  Super nice guy, not to over the shoulder, but very attentive and on it.  He brought Chef out to meet us, and I swear my husband thought I was going to leave him right then and there for a man that could cook me lamb chops everyday for the rest of my life.  Seriously.

We will be back.  Like maybe even now.  Heading to the car, see you when I get there!

    Absolutely loved this place!

I think we arrived a bit early as we were the only ones there. Signs said they have live Jazz on the weekends and I am definitely coming back to check that out soon.

Starters were amazing. The rolled grapes were stunning! The best part of the meal for sure. I would almost call this a desert, just a right amount of sweetness from the grapes and a crunch from the pistachios. The main course was a cooked to perfection Seared Salmon. Desert was the flourless Torte. As the photos show, looks as good as  it tasted.

Checked this place out Friday night, wanting something new and different. It's on Florida Ave close to Hillsborough Ave. You actually park and enter this place in the back of the building.
Ty and I got here probably about 11:30 Friday and it was slowing down. They had just closed the dinning area so only the bar was opened. However they were still service food. I ordered a sangria and Ty got a Peroni beer. My sangria was very bitter so I had a hard time drinking it. Then Ty wanted us to do a shot, so we asked for a shot. I think he gave me a jolly rancher (I don't know for sure cause I just asked for something sweet) and let me tell you this made up for the sangria. I took four shots out of this glass he gave me.
So after not eating at Fire we asked for the menu here at Domani's. Again nothing really jumped out at us, however the owner (who was actually service us the whole time) came over and said we should try this Rice Ball thing, so we went ahead and ordered that. It was pretty good, there was some red sauce that I thought was like marinara sauce, but something was in this sauce that was freakin HOT. Whatever this was actually made my lip numb.
It's a cute little place to go when you want something low key.

We arrived early on a weekday during a storm, and had the dining room to ourselves.  The lounge had a lot of activity, and was a bit loud, but it did not diminish our experience.
They had a nice beer selection, though it wasn't listed with the wines or cocktails.  I'd prefer to see a list to contemplate my selection rather than needing the server to rattle off from memory, and  I make a decision on the spot.
They serve cucumber in the water instead of lemon.  Not a personal fave.
The menu offered some very tempting choices.  We started with the Tater Tots "Dauphine"  The large homemade tots were delicious, and the curry ketchup made for an exciting opening act,
My wife had the burger because she had heard good things about it.  It was quite pink for medium well, but still tasty and filling.  It too came with tots.  The bacon was to die for, and she passed the pieces over to me.
I opted for the duo game hens, and all I can say is, "Wow!"  This was one of the best things I've ever had, hands-down.  The chicken was tender, and bursting with flavor.  The polenta was creamy and light.  I very much enjoyed the presentation that kept the sauce on only half the dish, giving me the opportunity to experience each bite in a manner I chose.
We skipped dessert, because the main course was so good and filling.

My only critique besides a beer list, would be the lack of medium priced options.  There seem to be a large jump between the sandwich options to the fuller main price, and for a family on a budget, it might be a bit of a hurdle to please a spectrum of taste and price points.

    We will definitely go back.

As much as I really did want to... I did not REALLY enjoy every minute of this dining experience. And it may be more my fault than the restaurant itself.

Now the atmosphere and ambiance of the inside was so very cool and collected. Loungy and romantic. Service was nothing short of wonderful. Even my appetizer, amazing. It was our entrees, for me the focal point of your dining experience, is what faltered.

We began with a salmon crudo which I found to be beautifully marinated and paired so cohesively with my champagne. Fresh and easy to eat served with a crisp thin slice of baguette.

For our entrees, my date ordered the thai duck and I had the shrimp and gnocchi dish. Granted, I wasn't crazy about the pairing of shrimp and gnocchi to begin with and I do prefer a simple and traditional preparation of duck. But he was craving duck and I was craving gnocchi. The gnocchi dish was unimpressive, I hate to say it because as I said before, I so badly wanted to enjoy it. The presentation was nice but the gnocchi dough was more than likely a bit overworked therefore the final product was not a light pillow of potato in my mouth. The rock shrimp were fresh and well cooked but there was not a real sauce to the dish to soak the dense gnocchi with and the shrimp had no pizazz to brag about. The thai duck my date had was.... mediocre at best. And boy do I feel horrible as write this but I can't help but let the adjectives flow from my thoughts. I am a fan of heavy saucing but this dish was just drowned in a gravy that, even for me and I love sweet, was too sweet. Overpowering the gamey flavor, which I am not a fan of but have come to appreciate, of the duck. Not the clean flavor I was looking for in a duck dish.

Now with all that being said, because my expectations for this place were so high and the service was the perfect counterpart to my somewhat spoiled meal, I will certainly return and give it another go. In dire hopes that it will redeem itself.

I came to this restaurant for my birthday dinner. Overall, I found the food at Domani to be top-notch and the prices to be reasonable. Based on food alone, I would have easily given this restaurant 5 stars.  However, I found the service to be awful.  While our server was very nice and friendly, it appeared as though she forgot our table several times and we had to ask her repeatedly to bring us items that we asked for before. During the time we were waiting for her, we were interested in having another bottle of wine, and ordering more food and dessert. However, after being completely ignored for 20 minutes (in a half empty restaurant), we decided to just pay and go somewhere else for drinks and dessert. Truly a disappointing experience.  I had heard so much about this restaurant, and I was excited to have a nice dinner to celebrate my 30th birthday. While the food was fantastic, the negative experience we had with the service was very upsetting. I plan to come back to the restaurant again - I hope at that time the service will be better than what we experienced before and then at that time I can give this restaurant the 5 stars that it probably deserves.

But back to the food. Our group ordered the following:

Corn Puree - The flavors in this soup had a lot of depth - it was creamy and flavorful, but not too heavy.  It was topped off with a single huge shrimp, which added some more flavor to this great soup

Salmon Crudo - This was my least favorite dish of the night - but since all the food here is pretty spectacular, that isn't really saying anything bad about the dish. The salmon crudo was served with some crostini.  While the dish was nicely executed (with a great sauce on the side that added to flavor profile of the dish), I found the dish to be a bit boring.

Prime Burger - The hamburger patty was fat, juicy, and flavorful.  The bun was soft and sweet, which was a great contrast to the savory meat.  It came with a side of hash browns that was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Perfectly fried/crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside.  Overall great dish!

Shrimp and Gnocchi - This was by far my favorite dish of the night.  I generally find gnocchi to be too heavy and bland for my taste, but the gnocchi in this dish was neither of these things. It was like small soft pillows bursting with flavor. I had a  lot of trouble sharing this dish with my friends

Filet - Our server recommended this dish (over the NY strip), and I think it was a fantastic recommendation.  Everyone at the table raved about the filet - cooked to perfection (medium rare, bien sur!) and the accompaniments (mashed potatoes and asparagus) were just as good.

Duck Confit - I did not love the duck, but the sauce and couscous on the side made the dish interesting and worthwhile of several thoughtful bites.

Lamb - I loved the lamb! Again, cooked perfectly (medium rare again). My only complaint is that there wasn't more lamb on the plate!

Also, the meal comes with amazing onion focaccia bread and pesto on the side. Our table couldn't get enough of the bread!

My friend and I met Saturday night sat at the bar. We loved the jazz band playing it was a real plus to the nice quite atmosphere. The food and drinks were great. I would recommend the rolled grapes. I do however think the menu is lacking in vegetarian options. I eat fish but my friend is veg and didn't have much to choose from. overall I thought the place was fantastic and most of the staff was also very nice and accommodating.

First time here and I was a satisfied customer. I have been wanting to go here for months, and I'm glad I finally tried it.

My friend and I spent a small fortune here in an attempt to try all the cool dishes (rolled grapes, corn soup, etc).... I give them points for creativity and presentation! It's hard to make things look cool on square plates, but they do. Each dish was practically a work of art. And they were relatively good, too!

However, I can't give Domani five stars because almost all the dishes that I REALLY wanted to try after reading previous yelp reviews were no longer on the menu and they did not offer any substitutes or suggestions. I mean... wouldn't you keep the things that are making a name for you? I don't get it. In fact, the dish that I did order (chicken focaccia) wasn't even served the right way (on a bun, not focaccia.... doesn't that make it no longer a focaccia entree?). I dunno, I guess it was an off night/month for the menu. Le sigh.

I don't want to knock a Seminole Heights gem too much... this place is good and I'll probably be back.

We were treated like good friends.  A welcome reception after the cold fish stare at "The Refinery" [not so refined, hah!].

The grape appetizer was very different.  I wasn't sure with the first bite, but was sold on the second.  The filet was lovely.  Try it!

First and foremost, standing ovate for this local gem. It is such a beautiful thing to see a place like this in the heart of a great Tampa neighborhood such as Seminole Heights conducting themselves in this manner. Once you arrive, you find yourself saying "I pass by here all the time and never noticed this!" I think this is the true beauty of Domani, because it is true to it's city, true to it's grounds, and true to it's food.

Upon arrival, my date and I were awed at the ambiance indoors. Being our first time there, we decided to sit in the lounge instead of the bar, but we will definitely be back to try the drinks. The bread and sauce was absolutely amazing and started us right. My date ordered the Gnoochi and Shrimp while I went for the Duck confit that was absolutely amazing. Cooked very well, it hit the spot and I definitely recommend either dish to any Domani Bistro customer.

Inside, the lighting is dim, but not dark, and it sets the perfect vibe for an intimate time, but never swaying far from a cool and casual flow. Our waiter, Kevin, was awesome as well.

All in all, I give Domani a 5 Star rating because they aren't trying to be anything but true to themselve and their environment. This is definitely a Seminole Heights gem that will and should attract all from everywhere.

Great food and service! Blows the Refinery away! Best food north of Kennedy without a doubt. Lamb chops were fantastic. Shrimp and gnocchi was cooked perfectly. Interesting appetizers. Unlike most 'foodie' places the entrees were as good as if not better than the apps.
After dinner the lounge has live music and cool bartenders. Try the owner, Bosco's favorite drink, a Moscow Mule in a copper cup.

Support local business!  Upon entering this quaint neighborhood bistro I was immediately impressed. The warm and inviting ambiance and the friendly staff made the evening that much more enjoyable.

My friend and I both ordered a glass of wine and it was accompanied by the freshest foccacia and pesto dipping sauce.

For an appetizer we decided upon the Brie  and pistachio wrapped grapes. All though different and unique, I felt like they lacked flavor. They needed a dipping sauce or some salt.

For dinner we shared the most fantastic shrimp and homemade gnocchi and the lemon/tomato/cream mussels. Both dishes were to die for....honestly.

The gnocchi were homemade and so full of flavor.  I was expecting a heavy sauce and I got just the opposite. And the mussels!  Wow...so good in fact that we asked for some extra bread just to dip in the sauce.

I'm planning on returning soon to sample more of their menu.

Very cute local place in the heights to check out.  Unique specialties on the menu, we really loved the sweet potato tator tots.  The guiness beer cheese soup was excellent with croutons and a bacon crisp!   Manager waited on us as it was a very slow Sunday afternoon.  Definitely a place to try for unique setting and real comfort yet upscale food at a good price.

The first time I went, we happened to go when a lovely jazz singer was doing a set.  She was fantastic and the place was beautiful inside.  Simple decor but very modern and clean.
We were there with a 6-year old and
His food was not good- spaghetti with plain sauce. They didn't really have a children's menu.  But my mussels were delish!

I didn't think i could find any more jewels in Seminole heights but I stand corrected.
This place has really tasty interesting food and very reasonable prices for wine and food.
Big fan of the short ribs also I ate an unnatural amount of their house-made bread.
I'm pretty thrilled because i was starting to get sick of refinery

    Thanks Domani!

Such a lovely first impression of Domani! We were part of a 27 (!) person birthday party. Not only did they excellently accommodate the size of their party, they also graciously made a separate 4 course vegan menu to choose from for 4 of the people in the party (we called ahead of our reservation to see if they did that on occasion). Everything was delicious, the live music/jazz group was a lovely touch and not overwhelming, and service was as good as could be expected for such a large party. Really happy to have another excellent restaurant in the Seminole Heights neighborhood. The only thing preventing this from being a 5-star review is that it was a bit pricey, but that's subjective.

    Well....a 4.5, really.

I've had the pleasure in dining at this brand new Seminole Heights establishment twice now.  The ambiance welcomes in customers of all likes with its subdued lighting, modest decor, and all around cozy feel. The service is mediocre.  Though the staff is extremely friendly, I found our server having trouble keeping up with the few tables he had.  Nonetheless, he was trying very hard to keep up while staying very pleasant and personable from beginning to end.  The food is executed almost flawlessly in both preparation and presentation.  Only one out of seven dishes in my two visits would I deem "average."
The restaurant in no way screams "Italian" in the atmosphere nor the cuisine.  Sure, there are some Italian-inspired items on the slimmed-down, concise menu, but to me, this place is Modern eclectic American (with some hints of Italian) fusion.  In fact, there is even Coq Au Vin on the menu which is without question, a famous French dish.  With that said, almost everything I have devoured here has been absolutely delectable.  Beginning with starters...the Salmon Bruschetta boasts perfectly smoked salmon with creme fraiche and fried capers on crostini.  Simple and divine.  The tater tots (yes, you read correctly) are almost mind-blowing in their homemade glorious texture.  With a side of curry ketchup, there are no better tots in the world. Childhood nostalgia at its finest.  The "BLT" soup- a concoction of beer, Gruyere cheese, crispy bacon and heavy cream is a steamy bowl of heart-attack heaven.  This is the kind of soup that gets slurped to the very last "sip."  Saving perhaps the best (and certainly the most interesting) starter for last..the Pistachio and Brie "rolled" grapes.  Yes friends, there is a God of Gastronomy.  These little bursts of paradise are as unique as they are luscious.
Domani has an awesomely diverse entree menu too.  Something for everyone, really.  Beginning with the "meh" dish, the Mascrapone and Crab Risotto.  Now, when I say "meh" it is only because I am mildly cocky in the kitchen and believe I could honestly pull of the plate very easily at home...with some finer "touches" to boot.  It is tasty..by all means, it is tasty.  Not enough crab and certainly not enough "oomph" to convince me to ever order it again.  Moving on. Domani's burger is unlike any burger you've ever ordered from a restaurant like this one.  Wow.  Huge, juicy and covered with bacon and gruyere, it is stellar.  You can taste the quality in this beef...amazing succulence right there. I am definitely a gourmet vs. diner burger kind of gal and this one is a serious showstopper. The Seared Yellowfin Tuna is well...different.  I can say as one with a refined palate that it is certainly prepared beautifully.  The sushi grade tuna is seared rare and nearly melts in your mouth.  Served over "old school" gnocchi (think: "bricks" vs. dumplings), it should be a bar-none plate.  Tuna and Gnocchi are two ridiculously decadent main ingredients. However, something just doesn't strike my fancy with the very sweet, very tangy sauce generously covering it all.  I think this might just be a case of personal preference (hoping so at least).  Lastly, the MOST RIGHTEOUS plate of CHICKEN I have ever been so honored to have before me.  The Coq Au Vin is from another chicken grazing planet.  Not only is this aromatic dish insanely huge, the bird just falls off the bone with zero effort.  The flavors from the red wine and root vegetables it has been braising in for hours on end continue the excellence.  I am going to say it...WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER if I have ever seen (and eaten) one.  It is that good.
When Domani made their mark it Tampa, Seminole Heights scored yet another fantastic eatery.  This is the kind of joint that should make South Tampa devoted people driving 15 minutes North.  I've been twice in just one month and cannot wait to visit again.  It is a place I will be showing off to out-of-towners from this point forward and a place I will most certainly be using as a special occasion dinner destination.

Any restaurant with a house pinot grigio for $15 a bottle will always have a special place in my heart. This place has a true upscale neighborhood feel. The manager was walking around when we were there and checked on us many times and even invited us to come back for a wine tasting later in the month.

We tried a bunch of different appetizers including, the rolled grapes (completely different and a must try), the tots with curry ketchup (these are bigger starchy tots and if you don't like curry you can ask for regular ketchup) and the toasted goat cheese (very different and not what you would expect, it's a chunky sauce mixed with tomato and eggplant that you load on top of the toasted bread). I was also a complete glutton and got the Guinness and gruyere soup which is a yummy beer cheese soup with bacon and tomato.

For my main course I tried the special which was cured pork with mashed potatoes, broccolini and a cranberry drizzle. The presentation was gorgeous and the pork melted in your mouth (check out my photo). I literally scrapped everything last bit off the plate.

This is a great place to enjoy a nice dinner out without breaking the bank. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

First let's start with a disclaimer.  I did not eat a meal at Domani.  I went with my mom, and we shared some appetizers and had a couple of cocktails.  I'm not going to pretend I am now an expert on Domani.  I AM, however, going to pretend to be an expert on what makes a restaurant viable.  One word.  Passion. These guys have it.

I live about 1400 miles away from this place.  I wish I didn't.  I'd be there weekly.

I am a wine drinker, and to me, the wine list is a great indicator of the quality of a restaurant.  I confess that I didn't drink any wine, and I never even looked at the list.  When we walked in, the chalkboard heralded their "Pumpkin Martini" as the special drink of the night.  At that point, I forgot all about wine.  If it has pumpkin, I'm in.  I was in for several of them.  No kitschy pumpkin liquor here.  The liquor involved is a moonshine whiskey, and the pumpkin flavor comes from . . .get this . .  . pumpkin.  The texture was silky, the flavor was warm and autumnal and pumpkiny, and the sugar/cinnamon/ nutmeg/graham cracker coated rim was a nice touch.  I could have sat there at the bar and slurped them until the bartender developed carpal tunnel from shaking them up for me.

We ordered two appetizers - the margherita flatbread and the goat cheese caponata.  The flatbread was flawless.  Their house-made mozzarella had a great flavor, the basil was fresh and plentiful, and the crust was crisp and light with just the right amount of soft chewiness.   The caponata was rich, cheesy and tomato-y.  The creamy chunks of goat cheese were fresh and light, and the eggplant was perfectly prepared.  The dish arrived accompanied by crisp foccacia crisps.  I loved the flavor of this dish.  Because the sauce was so rich and flavorful, I wish it had been paired with a softer bread, however.  The toast slices on their own were great, but I felt that I was letting some of this really yummy appetizer go to waste because the bread couldn't soak up all the sauce.

This is by no means a criticism of the bread.  I sampled their house made foccacia, fresh, with their house-made pesto.  This is some excellent bread!  And the pesto - very nice.  Not heavy and cloying and overly rich as some pestos can be.  It was light and aromatic and fresh and very yummy.

I did not fly 1400 miles to go to Domani, but I did drive 40 miles to go to Domani.  I would do it again.  And again.  It is a friendly, warm, comfortable bistro with great food, service that is attentive without hovering, and an inviting atmosphere.  I will definitely go back the next time I am in Tampa.

I recently got to try this newwer dining establishment for a friends birthday.  I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see such upscale furnishings and decor.  Parking was a bit of a challenge on a Friday night, but that is to be expected in this neighborhood.

I decided to try one of their signature cocktails (Cool Man Cuke) which appeared to be a gin n tonic with a twist.  I was shocked to see it served in a martini glass and it had an odd blend of flavors.

Our table ordered a large array of appetizers including the tater tots and the gourmet grapes.  I was enamored with the tater tots.  There was something about the texture and flavor that immediately won me over.  For my entree, I ordered the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.  It had great flavors and was served with a great accompanyment of spinach and mashed potatotes.

Domani is definitely one of Seminole Height's best eateries and I look forward to trying more items on my next visit.

Went here for the first time and all I can say is yummy. The pistachio wrapped grapes are a unique appetizer and so good. I would recommend for your entree the Thai Duck Confiti had to keep moving my wifes fork out of mine. The sangria is very tasty and potent. I also had the pumpkin martini big fan of it.

Went with a group of about 10 a few weeks ago and this is definitely a great Seminole Heights destination. We arrived at different times but were each seated and attended to promptly. No one disliked their meals and most really enjoyed it, myself included. I had the Honey Lavender Thai Chili Duck "Confit", just the right amount of heat and not too sweet or lavender. Presentation of all dishes was very nice, and of course who can resist the Flaming Marshmallow Martini!  I didn't have one but enjoyed the presentation! Our server was excellent. I look forward to going back.

    Simply put, Domani Dominates.

I am finding several gems in the Seminole Heights Neighborhood and glad that I came across this jewel.

I was first exposed to Domani at the Taste of the Heights.  I had the Brie and Pistachio rolled grapes with a balsamic reduction.  It really was a party in my mouth.

My friends have been raving about this restaurant for the past few months, so when it was one of our other friends' birthday, Domani was only the most logical choice to celebrate.

The appetizers were amazing.  The brie rolled grapes were a hit of course.  It is hard to believe that something as simple as a tater tot could cause such pleasure.  The tater tots were served with a curry ketchup.  I am not a fan of curry, so the ketchup with a kick was not for me.

I ordered the braised short ribs cooked in red wine with gremolata and mashed potatoes.  It was a-mazing.

The atmosphere of this place is very low key, casual and very welcoming.  The staff is amazing as well.  Billy, the manager came to our table multiple times and is a great conversationalist.  He had great personality and cares about the satisfaction of the customers.

I had 2 drinks while I was there.  Both were excellent.

Since my first review, I've been here two additional times and I really must say...Domani never lets me down!

This place is amazing! We had a reservation for 10 on a crazy-busy Friday night...walked in, and we were immediately seated! I know with a reservation, you'd think that's how it's supposed to be-well, with a lot of other restaurants, that isn't the case...so Domani still gets points for that.

We had a huge table, rambunctious and very vocal.  We hadn't seen each other in years, there were people meeting for the first time and to say the least, it was hectic.  I believe our server's name was Dylan, and I must say...he was extremely patient and accomodating.

We all ordered drinks, all of which were delicious and made to perfection.  Also, the cucumber in the water, SO totally refreshing! Why has no one thought of that before?! LOVE IT!

For an appetizer, the hubby and I ordered tots.  Delicious, don't get me wrong...but $5 for 8 tots, yes I counted them...8 tots?! I mean, really.  So, Domani is a little stingy with the tots, but I still love them.  Hubby ordered his favorite, the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin...and I ordered the duck confit, which is what I will be ordering from now on. OMG. AMAZING. It like melts in your mouth. WOW.

And the complimentary bread with olive oil...needs a tad more pesto, but yum!

If you want a great night, great dinner and delicious food...Domani is your place! Man, I love Seminole Heights!

Absolutely outstanding!  Tampa needs MANY MANY more places like this.

The place is beautiful to look at; right down to the colanders-turned-lights above the tables.  :)   A little industrial meets clean and elegant in a great old building; the layout is simple and open, which I can see being noisy if you arrive at prime time.

The bartender comes from years at Gaspar's and is one of the top in Tampa - quick, friendly, and knows his game very well.   Kudos for scooping him up, Domani.

We were with a large group for a birthday, and the service was impeccable.  Dueling servers, sharing responsibilities (none of the "this person takes these people, the other those", etc) and absolutely on top of everything from start to finish.

The food was beyond our expectations for a newish place; the creative menu is loaded with everything from burgers to ahi yellowfin, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, mussels, brie/pistachio-wrapped grapes, stuffed grape leaves... the list goes on.

We had a sampling of almost everything between the group and there wasn't one thing anyone didn't like - and that's something with this group.

Many great combinations of flavors and outstanding presentations for all; right down to the s'mores martini for our birthday guest at the end.

All-in-all we can't wait to go back - with the existing menu, the execution of the kitchen and the perfect service, withouut a doubt they'll be around a long time!

When I heard that there was an Italian Bistro opening within walking distance of my home, my heart did a little pitter pat, but I tried not to get my hopes up so that I wasn't disappointed.  Well, I think it would be impossible to disappoint with Domani.

Atmosphere:  Very home-y, yet really nice!  I feel like you could go to this restaurant for a nice date night or a fun night out with friends and it would be perfect for either.  Everyone that I have met on the staff have been really nice and helpful.  You can just tell that they ENJOY their jobs!

Drinks:  Really good wine selection, and if you are pinching pennies, house wines for cheap!  The last time I was at Domani, there was a rep there giving out free beer samples, which were delicious as well.  I haven't tried the cocktails but my friend said that his was delicious.

Appetizers:  Um, tater tots that taste like mashed potatoes with flavored ketchup, nuff said.  The salmon crostini was really good, too.  My favorite are the grapes with brie, pistachio, and balsamic - so original and delicious!

Main Course:  Although I've only been here twice, I've gotten to sample bites of friends' meals each time, so I have a pretty good idea.  Let me tell you, it is ALL good.

All in all, a great addition to a great neighborhood!

Domani is a great new addition to Seminole Heights current repertoire of dining and imbibing establishments. You'll notice upon entry a spacious interior that is refreshing and comfortable for both romantic and casual dining. The fusion menu is well selected and covers a wide spectrum of cuisines from Italian to Asian.

The crab cake appetizer, which while you would assume would be a traditionally fried dish; is served as a salad confined within a wall of avocado. It is both scrumptious and light. A perfect weight for an appetizer that is delectable yet not so filling that you forget about eating your meal.

The Thai chili duck confit entree was prepared to perfection. The duck was cooked to a ripe tenderness, and lightly adorned with a chili sauce that compliments the duck and the cous cous. The only point with the Thai chili sauce I could make is that a bit more "kick" would have been nice, but not everyone is into spicy dishes.

Their drink menu is run if this mill, however I did not opt for any of the house made cocktails. The beer list could have been more complete, but was satisfactory non-the-less for this dining experience.

Service was prompt and courteous. All dishes were served in a timely manner and in an orderly fashion. It's great when your entree is perfectly timed to be brought out, when your appetizer is complete, not all at once, leaving room for space and digestion.

A great experience overall for dining in Seminole Heights, and I look forward to dining at their establishment in the near future.

Seriously, this is the total package. I swung by to check this place out a few weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised with the burger on focaccia bread. That was one unique, but nomalicious burger.

This weekend I returned, and was even more wowed.

I had the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, and my g/f went with the alfredo-based pasta special. Both were stupid-good. We had an argument over whose dinner was better, and it got heated.

Neither of us are cocktail drinkers, but we wanted to give their concoctions a shot. I don't see a menu online anywhere to strike my memory, but I can describe them. Mine was some sort of dessert cocktail that had a marshmallow in it, and the girlfriend had something citrus based... I believe it had the word "Touca" in the name. We both couldn't believe how a couple of beer drinkers like ourselves, could be so happy sipping on a mixed drink.

Bosco, the owner, is as friendly as they come -he hasn't had an off-day since long before Domani opened its doors, months ago... but he still managed to come chat with us several times throughout our meal.

I'm extremely grateful for his dedication and hard work, and I'm even more grateful that he decided to open Domani in my backyard - the SHeights.

I've lived in Seminole Heights for most of the last 10 years and can honestly say there's nothing else like it.. and it's been a long time coming.  This place is the greatest addition to Seminole Heights in years.

FOOD: They have a terrific selection of delicious entrees, appetizers and desserts. I went with a group of friends and we shared bits and bites of everything.  The filet was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The ribs were good but not awesome -- a little too grainy.  The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin needed a little more time in the oven, but was delicious.  The chicken flat-bread was food heaven.  We never order desserts, but this time we did and it was incredible.  I don't remember what it was called but there was some sort of chocolate mousse inside a chocolate cylindrical shell with hazel nuts that was better than anything your granmda could ever make.  It was eye-crossing deliciousness and if you go to Domani based on this review you MUST order it.

ATMOSPHERE:  A little crowded and a little noisy -- but it's great to see a new local business doing so well.  So that's an A+.

DRINKS: Great selection of locally inspired drinks.  The sangrias (white and red) are both great.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. We will be back time and again.

    REAL ITALIAN RESTAURANT
Boys and Girls, leave your Chef Boyardee "Italian" expectations at the door of this restaurant. They do not serve the spaghetti and other cliché tomato/noodle base dishes. This is a real Italian Restaurant. I worked at a fine Italian Restaurant in Pontiac, MI that was extremely expensive that served similar items. This is not overpriced, this is the right price. Go to Domani Bistro Lounge and enjoy exquisite flavors and an accommodating staff.
