Dottie's Landmark Bar & Grill

This was a fun little place. We stopped here to catch the end of a game, ended up bumping into a friend. Cheap drinks, friendly help.

One thing I can say is that I want to go back and try the food. Where we sat at the bar, we could see back into the kitchen, and everything I saw them preparing back there looked fantastic!

Nice little out of the way spot to stop and kill some time.

We stopped into Dottie's on the way back to Ames from Des Moines to catch the end of the Iowa/Iowa State basketball game.  I felt immediately at home.  The drinks are cheap, the food looked fantastic, and we ran into a friend.  If you're ever in Polk City, stop at Dottie's!
