Dream Cafe is the best. Period.
[NOTE:] Two (2) customers per hookah is an industry standard, I don't understand why people rate lower based on this when it's normal. Odd man out? Thirdwheel? Bring a friend, you're not escaping it, anywhere, ever.
I've been to Lava, Â both Hiddens, Sultana, Nubia, Fusion, Laziz, La Capitaine, Twilight and I even worked at Nara... Dream is better than all of them combined.
Dream has the best quality hookah, and the most employees dedicated strictly to serving charcoal than any other surrounding lounge. They regularly blow out and shake the bowl to keep your smoke quality damn near perfect.
In terms of service, Dream has very attentive staff that's quick on their feet and accurate. Have you ever tried to serve as many as 20 people and gotten the entire order perfect? My girlfriend has, she's awesome (she also works there). Seriously, tip her.
The bathrooms are always well stocked and moderately clean, what do you expect on the weekends when everyone just got out of the clubs and is piss drunk?
The tables are always cleaned after customers leave, always. It's almost unnecessary, it's like everyone has OCD it's so clean. I love it.
The selection of food and drinks is fun and casual, they serve hummus, labne, and fruit plates, a variety of sandwiches, as well as cake and ice cream B-).
For drinks they serve your usual range of sodas and energy drinks, as well as juices, fraps, smoothies, turkish coffee and tea.
WAIT A SECOND, THEY HAVE WHITE MONSTERS TOO. AWW YEAH.

Okay, so what makes this place a cut above? The absolute best?
THE HOOKAH, SHIT TYRONE!!!
Dream utilizes Khalil Mamoon and Caravan brand hookahs equipped with custom Caravan hoses that have the most open, unrestricted draw possible.
This makes smoking as easy as breathing, and yields the absolute most smoke volume possible.
For the head, they use custom extra large Egyptian clay bowls. It handles heat amazingly and after dissecting a refill, I've found that you really do get the most for your money here. They also use custom grommets that are unlike any I've seen on e-tailers or at smoke shops.
The charcoal used are natural lump wooden coals, which are in my opinion the only coals that should be used to ensure you have the best experience possible.
While they are potentially messy and don't produce as much heat as coconut coal, they do not alter the taste or burn the shisha as quickly.
And as far as charcoal, there's always plenty to go around, and the workers are skilled at charcoal placement, timing, and heat management. If you'd prefer a more mellow smoke and want the most flavor for the full duration of your head just ask for smaller coals. If you want a session that's going to amaze you at your own lung capacity just ask. Everyone has their own preference, but the default is definitely a happy medium that keeps everyone but elitists satisfied.
Moving on to the shisha tobacco, Dream is one of very few lounges that uses Haze Tobacco which is an excellent brand with long lasting flavor and amazing smoke volume. They also have a large selection of Starbuzz shisha as well as some Al Fahker. Nahkla Two Apples and Zahgloul is also on the menu.
If you can't decide, tell them to surprise you. Based on your flavor preferences they'll craft a blend you'll most certainly find palatable.
The hookah itself is made in record time, time and time again. Go ahead, use a stop watch and prepare to be amazed. Louis is a machine, a bit of a heckler but the man knows his stuff and knows it well.
(end tl;dr)

Anyway, congrats if you've read this far. All in all, Dream Cafe really is the best.. service, selection, quality (I sound like a salesman, I know).
Take it from me, I've ventured far and wide from home to come to the conclusion that it just wasn't worth it.
Sit back, relax and enjoy your company.
Feel free to check table 3 for the obnoxious, sarcastic, filipino kid that's 99.9% of the time going commando (me) and say hi.
I was not the biggest fan of dream personally but when my friends and i come here they know all the staff so ive never had a problem and the sheesha is good. constant coals service so thats not a issue but it was just so loud and the lighting was awful before the remodel but its alot nicer here now that it looks a lot cleaner. service is stil so so but what an improvement since they remodeled! i have recently been going here for happy hour. all in all much happier with dream.
Review Source:Best Hookah place I have been too... and I have been to a good amount. Its cheap yet tasty. I usually come here on Thursday and Friday nights around 8. They will put on the B-ball game if Lakers are playing and after that they will have some local DJ Â playing everything from hip-hop to todays hits. Even though they do not serve alcohol I would prefer this place over a bar any day.
It's CASH ONLY- but they do have an ATM inside.
Great service, they come and replace your Coles for you very frequently which is what I enjoy most about this place. Most Hookah joint they just bring you the hookah and never look your way again, which makes smoking the hookah harsh on the throat, but they will have guys walking around and seeing if you need new ones replaced.
They also serve food. I don't prefer eating and smoking at the same time but my friend got a sandwich here once and it looked pretty good.
Great ambiance and have great music. I LOVE the bubbles that you can see in the black light (it's my favorite part). It gets a little cramped when it's on busy days but nevertheless it's a great place. Service is pretty good and consistent. I haven't had a bad day yet so *knock on wood* I will definitely be coming back to this place
Review Source:All smoke and soft porn
That's what this place is on a busy night. Â I came here with my girlfriend to hang out. Â The service is pretty good and we were constantly checked on. Â They have a few booth seating but mostly all tables and chairs. Â I liked the music here. Â It's mostly hip hop and electronics. Â Of course they have racy music videos playing. Â The music is blasted pretty loud so it's not a place to really talk. Â Still its cheap and chill and we will probably be back again.
Excellent service!!! This is hookah lounge plays music loudly, but not too much that you can not converse with others at your table. Their selection of tobacco is good and their staff is knowledgeable. Their coal runners are always present changing out your coals without you needing to ask, they keep the your hookah burning so you can pay attention to your guests/friends. The Dream cafe offers a menu of food and drinks - I had the Turkish coffee which was fine mud. The crowd was well mixed with all races, very laid back crowd, and there were about 40% women here. Most everyone was in their 20's.
Review Source:This place was poppin' when I went with The Hubby and friends on a Wednesday night. I didn't think it was going to be that crowded since it's in the middle of the week. But I guess everyone is either done with school or this is just a typical night to have hookah. I don't always go out for hookah but it was just one of those nights. My favorite flavor would have to be Blue Mist. The other flavor we got was White Grape but it was alright. White Grape needs to be mixed with another flavor because it was kinda plain. The workers here are attentive and the board games are fun. The songs were catchy. I wouldn't mind coming back here again.
Review Source:Nice place to chill out when you don't feel like going out and drinking. They have a pretty good selection of flavors. I very much enjoyed the lounge feel with the loud music and music videos being played in the background. The staff was really attentive and sweet. Only downside is that it's Cash Only!
Review Source:I been here a couple of times and i really enjoy it. We had to wait outside for a few minutes cause it was busy when we arrived. Â Had a little trouble with my hookah at first cause it was packed too tight and you couldn't get any airflow, so I got a mean headache trying to inhale when i couldn't. Once it got loosened up it was cloud city, all and all i had a good time with my friends and meet some great people to pass the time with. We were lucky enough to get a couch which added to the relaxation factor. Music was okay, i'm not a huge fan of top 40 stuff and played out wanna be dubstep. But I have to admit they did play a couple tracks that i actually enjoyed. But if i wanna hear REAL EDM i'll head to one of the parties that my friends are always throwing in Los Angeles or San B. But the crowd here was great, everyone was nice and courteous to others, friendly etc. I recommend this spot if you wanna sit down and relax with your friends and enjoy a hookah, a friendly atmosphere and not have to worry about a bunch of "just outa highschool" crowd trying to be center of attention every min causing drama.
Review Source:Everything is good at this place. Good music, vibe and service. The only thing I wish was some air ventilation. It's really bad to smell all those chemical in the air, you breath in all the ashes they blowout too. I walk out 15 to get fresh air and go back in. Either that that everything is good.
Review Source:They finally put in all the new couches! Tuesday night karaoke and DJ on the weekends... spinning from Old School Hip Hop to Dubstep to Arabic classics. I am here 4+ times a week... it's like a second home. I've been coming to Dream since they opened years ago.. and I've been a loyal customer since.

Good food and atmosphere
Friendly and accommodating staff
It's within walking distance of Papa Hassan's Grill (OMG the food is so good)
Great, flavorful hookah & it's cheap!

There is a wait on busier nights (weekends).
It gets loud after happy hour is over
It gets drafty if you're seated near the entrance... bring a sweater
I like this place.
The music is loud (which makes talking amongst a group a bit of a challenge) but it sets the perfect mood. Â It has a nice mix of techno and hip-hop, and some mainstream every once in a while too. Â They also have TVs so you can watch the videos too.
The staff is friendly and prompt... you don't feel like you need to wait around for new coals. Â
The flavors are nice... the Citrus Mint was my favorite. Â
I don't frequent hookah bars often, but this one was super fun and a good way to spend the night with friends. Â
I would come back!
I'm definitely a Hidden girl at heart- but I do come to Dream every once in awhile with a group.
Hookahs come out faster than you know what to do with. Charcoals are ALWAYS hot and ready and the guys that work there are nice. The service gets 5 stars here. Also love the fact that they have music videos playing, both Arabic pop and American top 40s.
Prices are competitive with other hookah bars, and they do have specials as well which are really good.
Would get an overall 5 stars if the hookah quality was consistent, but I guess everyone has off nights once in awhile.
Used to come here all the time. One of my favorite hookah spots down south. Their flavors are on point and the prices are cheap for hookah. Kind of small inside but its always packed. They play music videos on their flat screen tv's and sometimes people dance in their own areas. It's really fun to come here at night and relax. The pumpkin pie flavor tastes just like pumpkin pie....but blue mist is my favorite. Everyone should try this place if you want good hookah!
Review Source:Transition from being a Twilight Hookah Bar regular, this place is a nice change.
PROs: Tables!!! I'd rather have a table than sit at on a couch...especially when you get a snack or drink. Free deck of cards to play with (but you can't take home!). Get the bubbles!!! I like the music.
CONs: Not a good place to chat. Just a good place to chill. Unless you are open to yelling over the music or whispering into each others ears.
Staff is friendly and the location is alright too.
Unfortunately I had a horrible time at Dreams.
First of all I was looking forward to it due to the good reviews. Two friends and I went there and were immediately seated. I ordered a drink and my friends needed some time with their order. I started drinking my coke and 5 minutes later a waitress came to take our order. My friends wanted to share a hookah, me I just wanted a sandwich. I was then told that I needed to order 2 hookahs for 3 people. I was like that policy is not written anywhere and that I would buy enough food to cover the hookah.
So another person who said he was the owner. A ogre like man with horrible breathe explaining that we needed to order 2 hookahs. I explained to him that I understood what he was saying but I don't see it written anywhere and no one told us when we were seated. If they had we would have went elsewhere. He then rudely said "well I telling you now!".
I then said I would buy enough food to pay for the other hookah since I don't smoke.
The thing that pissed me off was his next reason "If you go to a movie theater you have to buy a movie ticket don't ya". I was like that was the worst logic I've ever heard. The name of your place is Dream Cafe..meaning they serve other things besides hookah. The so-called owner (which I doubt) was rude and basically a jerk. I left paying for my drink and told the bouncer your owner is a jackass. The immigrant bouncer yelled back 5 minutes later after some thought "No u da jackass". All I could do is laugh.
Positives: it seems like alot of people were there.
Negatives: unclear policies, horrible "owner", rude waitstaff.
They only take cash I would recommend the IRS to investigate not only tax evasion but the employment of illegals. I will never come here again and recommend others to go to other businesses nearby with better etiquette and better understanding in how to run a business.
I have been going here for awhile now and this is one of the best hookah bars around.
PROS:
Great service, good music and videos, very clean, good hookah flavors and brands, good price and it is great for young people, and to see hott guys haha
CONS
Must get a refill after two hours and only two people to a hookah
I love this place! Fun atmosphere, great hooka and good people watching. It's true the crowd can be a little younger but since they don't serve alcohol it's not surprising since teenagers need a place to chill too.
I like the h'orderve type food and the sandwiches. I also like their hot tea and fresh fruit.
Coal service is constant and fast. Even though I don't live anywhere near here I like to visit on my way to San Diego. Definitely check them out.
My friends decided to surprise me by taking me to my first hookah lounge. I don't know if it's a normal thing there, but it seems like everyone drove there on a motorcycle .
The place is definitely geered for teenagers and college students considered all the Music Videos they had on their tvs. Most of the videos were Lady Gaga, Rihanna, etc. You get the picture. The place also has blacklights.
My friends ordered the strawberry daiquiri and tangerine. ( It was three people; I was the extra meaning we had to order another hookah,1 hookah for every 2 people) I preferred the tangerine over the strawberry. They did refill it about three times which was a pretty good amount for the amount we stayed. The rest of the night ended up with me trying to learn how to inhale more smoke while my friends were way more pro, blowing smoke rings and whatnot. Â Pretty nice of them to give each of us separate mouth pieces though, way more sanitary.
I would go back again just for the experience of taking someone else; I just don't think hookah is my thing. It can get pretty expensive, especially if you add a couple drinks with the hookah. It is cash only. There is an ATM machine, but I am pretty sure the transaction fee is probably four bucks. So bring cash beforehand.
"Dream" simply doesn't live up to its name. Â I have been several times, so I'm speaking from experience.
Here's my short description of what to expect: Â
The service is slow, the seating is mediocre, the shisha/ hookah doesn't last that long, the music is extremely loud, the wait is usually long, bouncers are a bit arrogant, the ventilation is poor, seating is cramped, prices are high for what you get, the location is run-down, and the area is kind of shady, etc. Â
If you are looking for a hookah lounge... keep looking. Â There are better ones in the vicinity.
It's a place kind of hidden in the corner of a parking lot. Â I've been going there for a while and it's one of my favorite places. Â The hookahs are great and their sandwiches are even better. Â It had a friendly atmosphere with friendly staff. Â The prices are reasonable compared to some other places.
It's a great place to just chill and relax. Â They have wifi connection and TVs playing music. Â The nice thing is that they're open till 4 am on Friday and Saturday, and 2 am on the rest of the days.
Let's say that the wildberry mint is MY FAVORITE. Gah, so delicious.
Other than that, TURN DOWN THE MUSIC DAMMIT! Seriously, to have a convo I have to scream and leave the place without a voice.
Also, the hummus and sandwiches are pretty tasty. I've tried the watermelon juice and it was average.
Pretty nice workers too, I like diversity and they certainly have it here. Thumbs up for that.
I was there last night,
they Kicked us out !!! we ordered three hookuh and tea and coffee... after 2 hours, they said you have to go!!!!!!!!!
When we said : "it is going to be our last time here: , he said it's ok !! Dont come back !!!
they do not accept credit card s.. Cash Only !! there is an ATM mashine inside which over charge you !!!
Overall ! I wont go there ever again! They were so rude !
Dream is way too cramped and crowded, and the ventilation is bad. The music is really good though and the coal service is better than others. They do offer the watery soap stuff to make bubbles. I guess that's mildly entertaining. Still, I wouldn't come here. It's not that nice inside, which makes me wonder why all those other middle eastern girls come dressed up in heels. To this hookah bar... really?!
Review Source:This is the only hookah place I've tried and everytime I come back the service gets worst and worst. Â This hookah bar lounge isn't really that big, its crowded especially on the weekends but the music is great. They play a lot of hip hop music from the 90's and even today's hits. Â My only annoyance is that one hookah is for every 2 people. Â That's expensive when you're there with
Review Source:Did you know that the ink from Sharpies stays in your skin for weeks? Â At one of my birthday kickbacks a few years back, my friends decided it would be fun to draw all over me. Â I mean it - my ENTIRE body was covered with Sharpie messages. Â Of course, I washed it all off the next morning. Â At least, I THOUGHT I did. Â
***TWO WEEKS LATER***
I go to Dream Cafe for some hookah. Â Mind you, Dream has blacklights (one of the things that I love and hate about the place), and I was wearing a tanktop. Â At one point, I looked down and saw that my arms were GLOWING with old Sharpie messages that now looked like highlighter messages - you could still see/read EVERYTHING! Â That was definitely pretty embarrassing...
ANYWAY. Â I've been coming to Dream for awhile now. Â It used to be pretty ghetto and dirty, but they've remodeled and now I'm definitely a fan. Â The couches are comfortable (although they're probably not the cleanest things in the world), the hookahs hit well (peach!), and the owner is way chill.
Note: Like Aziz A. said, they're really strict with the "1 hookah for every 2 people" rule. Â -1 star for that and for the fact that some of the couches desperately need to be replaced.
I went once for a friend's birthday dinner...and let me tell you...NOT impressed. Service was minimal, and the food wasn't terribly good either. I ordered the falafel pita, only to discover that they like to burn things. My falafels were black, and hard as rocks..(maybe they were??) :[ They still tried to charge me for it, however. They also played very loud arabic rap music and people started getting into fights. I think the best part was leaving.
