The Dublin Inn has great prices for beer and is a nice place to meet up. This location is a smoking venue.
They have a kitchen, but they have limited hours: Thursdays & Fridays from 6:00PM to 9:00PM (closing early if business is slow - these times may change). If you're hungry, it's your best bet to dine out then stop in for a cocktail afterwords. When the kitchen is open, the food is reasonably priced and good quality.
There is a 4 shot maximum per customer per night, so customers that enjoy mixed drinks have to consider switching to beer or wine. Double shot drinks count as 2 shots.
The beer selection is great. Prices on their best sellers are typically the best available in the area. However, prices on craft beers can be high, so be sure to ask about the prices when ordering.
If you use a credit card, there is not an opportunity to tip on the receipt, so please bring some cash to reward your bartender's effort. Also, your card will be ran for your first round of drinks to confirm its authenticity. Then, it will be run at the conclusion of your tab. There is a $15 minimum for credit transactions.
Closing times for the bar fluctuate, but will typically not before 11pm (except on Sundays). This should be considered if making late night plans. When closing time is considered, the volume of customers and day of the week (i.e. weekend) may not extend the hours of operation.
There is a Touchtunes jukebox on the property. You can also use the MyTouchtunes application for your smartphone to add credits to the machine. Beware of your song selections, it is management's discretion to skip songs without refund to the customer. Band entertainment is rare.
Avoid sitting in the two stools at the end of the bar next to the cigarette machine. These seats are reserved for the bar manager.
Stopped in the Dublin Inn this past weekend after a long day in the sun at a car show at the Dublin Volunteer Fire Co.
A good variety of cold beers on tap served up by a friendly bartender who makes sure everyone feels welcome and has a fresh beer at hand and plenty of TVs to watch the local teams. Â What more can you ask for in a local bar?
