Dirty place, dirty looking people, just dirty. And when I say dirty, I mean disgusting. The description of the club definitely lives up to its reputation: dirty. I can't stand this place and I can't stand hearing about this place either. One too many ratchets and creepers filling up the place. It felt like I was in an episode of Jersey Shore. So if you like ratchets, creepers, peoples' sweat dripping from their armpits from too much fist pumping, and if you consider jumping and swaying off beat as "dancing," then this is definitely your spot. If not, save your $15-25 and go to a better venue.
Beware: if you do end up here, take fifty showers when you get home.
I went here for the first time last night for a New Year's Eve party. It was super fun!! I loved it. The room in the front played house music (which was freakin amazing) and the back room was supposed to play Latin music, but there wasn't a big turn out so they kept that room closed and mixed up the music in the front.
The place is 18+ so there's some young people in there which is ok. The bartenders were really nice. Hookah was good, too. I'll definitely go back to this place :)
Any club on Long Island would have to actually try to be worse than the abyssal hellish crevice, otherwise known as Dublin. It attracts sleezy frat-boys and half-ditzy college girls as its primary clientele. The alcohol is abysmal, and they stock the bottle with cheaper liquor than the label would provide. The beer is watered down. The music is disturbing. The bartenders know how to make ten drinks or less.
As a warning, the clientele and security of this club is decidedly very anti-gay. A homosexual couple dancing together promptly had a drink thrown on them and two women dancing together were approached by a horde of men and pulled apart for a bevy of unwanted grinding and touching. Various club-goers have reported being violated or forcibly touched while dancing. The bouncers do nothing.
Do yourself a favor.
Avoid this place.
Local swag!! Dublin is right there! And I've been passing it just about every day for the last 4 years and have never set foot in there until last Saturday.
My friend called me talking about a highlighter and neon paint party. Knowing that I'm all about highlighting anything but notes and I love me some party paint I found a ratty white tea, some jeans, and was ready to go.
I have heard about Dublin and everyone makes it seem like some hole in the wall spot. And my response to that is that people are just harsh! What kind of spot are you looking for this to be!? It's a pub on Jericho turnpike...not the trump towers kiddies. A bunch of college parties thrown here and I happened to have a BLAST!
Spotted some local faces and a whole bunch of long islanders. The spot itself is a  lot bigger than you'd think from the outside. Or at least more than I thought. Huge areas to shake it and there is a stage in one area AND you can even go outside and play in the back yard. You can also park in the King Kullen lot. Who needs vallet?!
The bar tenders were nice. Did not complain about me and my friends and we had quite a bit of outlandish request. Random cups of ice. Just gimme a lemon. 5 shot cups..with no alcohol in them. Â Just random stuff and they obliged with a smile on. That is awesome.
The bathroom wasn't the cleanest but keep in mind you got paint and highlighters all over the place. It's a messy night. That's expected. There was no line for the bathroom though, so that's a plus.
The music was great. The housey techno side was LIVE! Of course everyone on that side was all good to go with the highlighters. The gangsters on the other side of the spot didn't want to get highlighter on their Polo shirts..grow up! Â You don't come to a highlighter party crying bloody murder because someone writes on you! I met plenty of guys though that let me write on them even though they wanted no parts of the highlighter. A pretty and charming woman CAN convince you to allow her to write all over your favorite shirt. I abused that.
Me and my friends partied HARD on the housey side and then went to check the gangsters and partied hard again! It was just hard partying all over. I noticed that you have to make the best of it. The hip hop dj was playing a lot of old stuff but if you're looking to have a good time you will.
The night did end pretty early. Around 2 to 2:30 ish (It was daylight savings though.. so..maybe that doesn't count). The crowd was kind of young (18+) but whatever. You can have a blast.. if that's what you came out to do.
I'd come back DEF for another HL&P party..and ..even just to see what its like on a regular night. Def not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.. in my opinion.
I went here for a local show last night and it was terrible. 1st we were told by the band there was a $5 cover, when we got there the cover was $10. We went in anyhow cause this band rarely plays anymore. when we got in my boyfriend got a bud(which came in a can) and I got a Jack and Diet, which came to $10 total(reasonable) and I left a $4 tip. We ordered another round was also $10 with a $4 tip. Then about 45 mins later we ordered another round from a different bartender(at the same bar) and it was $13, when I asked her to explain how the price went up she was like The Bud is $5 and the Jack and diet is $7, when I told her that that didn't add up to $13, that was $12 she told me it was $13 anyhow. So I told her to forget it and I went to the other bartender and just orderd a Bud Light which he said was $5 so I paid that and asked if the prices went up after a set time. He said they didn't and the Jack and Diet I ordered before was $7 and the beer was $5, which doesn't add up to the $10 he told me, so be careful if you go and choose to have a drink, the bartenders are assholes and there aren't set prices.
