We had a really bad experience at this pub. The food was bland and inauthentic. We ordered fish and chips. Â Fish was greasy, bland, and tasteless. Chips were frozen, packaged variety. My Bloody Mary had little or no alcohol. The pub was dingy. We are frequent visitors to the area but will not be returning to Dugan's.

The fish and chips were slightly overcooked but had a good, moist flaky quality on the inside. The bangers and mash were classic. There are numerous TV's for sports action. Service was professional and efficient. I'll be back.
Review Source:My only reason for coming here is for the fish and chips and potato skins. Good classic fish and chips. Huge order and very filling. I love potato skins and will order them anywhere that has them. There's nothing exceptional about these but still good. Can't go wrong with bacon and cheese.
The atmosphere is great. Dark and had that pub feel, minus the smoke like the old location. The walls are plastered with Irish memorabilia and souvenirs.
Minus a few stars mostly for service. It always seems to take a long time here. Even when I called in an order of skins and showed up 15 minutes later, I still had to wait another 15.
We started out dinner on a positive note tonight. The decor inside Dugan's was great, much like that of a pub in Ireland. The waitress was pleasant enough and took care of our drink order efficiently.
We ordered and eagerly awaited our dinner as we had several children in our group. We had been busy all day and the kids were already sleepy at 6:15.
Dinner arrived and several of our items were wrong or missing. The waitress worked on getting our missing items, but several had to be requested again. The food was good, everyone enjoyed their dinner. Here is where the downfall began. The waitress disappeared for quite a long period of time. When she finally reappeared, one person at our table ordered 2 refills in the event that she would not be back. It is a good thing that he did because we did not see her again for quite some time.
When she reappeared, she had the bill in hand and offered to split the check. We told her that would be great and settled in to wait. We ended up having to find the manager to help us with the final bill. He said that the waitress was having trouble with splitting the bill and that he would help her. Â After a total of 2 hours in the restaurant at this time we were getting extremely frustrated. The manager came back and offered a half hearted apology. The waitress was nowhere to be seen.
All in all, the food was good. The atmosphere was nice. The manager and waitress were awful. I would not recommend this restaurant just for that reason. What a disappointment!
The food was decent, but the atmosphere was definitely much better. I ordered a fish and chips, and was not disappointed. However, I was left wanting something more.
If I am ever back in Brevard I might stay a while in the bar instead of heading back to the hotel for business. I would give this place a shot if you are in town (if nothing else pops out at you).
