Dugger's Food & Fun

This place must have changed since September 2012.

It's now "Dugger's Family Buffet". I thought it was strange that I didn't smell the food when I walked in the door; instead I smelled stale cigarette smoke. When I got up to the buffet, I found that all the food was canned (completely mushy greens, dull corn), dry (chicken, turkey, ham), instant (potatoes), or old and stale (rolls and corn bread).

My husband and I couldn't finish our food. He went back for a salad, and I went back for dessert, but I only got a bowl of fruit since it was covered with saran wrap and wouldn't have been touched by any of the fruit flies flying around.

We ended up paying $27 plus tip and we both left hungry.

I have to hand it to the staff. They were plenty friendly. Our server was really attentive and made sure our drinks were full.

But I can make much better food at home for much less money. We won't be returning.

The smoke in this place was ridiculous. If you are a non-smoker (like me), really consider your tolerance for smoke before going in. That being said-- this place was super fun. I stopped in during an overnight stay in Murfreesboro and wasn't disappointed (aside from the smoke). Free trivia at the bar, good (and hilarious) karaoke, and a great assortment of bottle and draft beer.

Great place for trivia. Love the game. Smoking in the bar so if you come from an area where it's banned, be prepared. The place is large so you can easily come here with quite a few friends, party, etc. They have a pretty good bottled beer selection. The staff is kind and attentive.
