Great people. My friends and I go in regularly. I'm happy to see thy are expanding the food menu. I like the deli stuff but, I'd like a bit more sports bar food. Beer selection is amazing. Awesome local bar. I can't say enough about the service. Rich and Kim are great people and definitely believe in making their customers enjoy their experience. Definitely recommend.

I don't know if I can formally review this place since I was only in it for a few minutes and didn't have any thing. My BF was in here while I was at the Marshalls next door shopping. He sat in here and had  a beer while waiting. I thought I might get a drink too but alas no, only beer/ wine. I was ok with that, I might peruse the food someday.. but nothing here for me to booze down on. Such a shame.  It's great if you're going to stop in and watch the game for a bit and have a beer. I didn't get to explore anything else but I would go back and look at the yummy food.

The Dugout is kind of that - a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall near albertsons, next to IHOP.  This is a 3.5 star review - an extra half star because the service was good.

Service: Great, friendly and fast service, nice folks.

Beverages: Lots of beer on tap, nothing wrong with that.

Food: My girlfriend got the stuffed avocado appetizer and ate all of it, so that is a winner.  I had a pastrami Reuben, which was pretty average, but had nothing wrong with it. I certainly wasn't expecting Jewish deli quality, so I got what I expected.  The nachos were as advertised on the menu - simply chips with 7-Eleven style cheese sauce.  They have hot-dogs and other sandwiches on the menu.

Prices: Good - Reuben was $7.95, no up-charge for getting pastrami instead of corned beef on it, score.

Decor: Clean, funky football shaped tables, lots of TVs around with sports.  A bit antiseptic in a way - it could use some more character, this is a Portland suburb after all.

Other: I believe I saw an Xbox station for the kids to play at in the corner, that is a nice.

I think this place has a lot potential, especially as a sports bar, since the area is a bit lacking in that department.  Some more food options (I'm not a hot dog person), and a bump in the quality of the sandwiches can really go far.

Hillsboro needs more places like the Dugout.  Decent food and beer served by great staff.  I hope they continue to rotate unique beers into the tap selection.

Hot pastrami was only luke warm, bread wasn't toasted (maybe "warmed" for a second or two), cheese wasn't melted and the meat was sliced way too thick for a pastrami sandwich. IMHO, pastrami should be paper thin. The sandwich just lacked love. I felt like I was eating an Albertson's sandwich, that had been premade and warmed in a microwave. To top it off, the chips I was given as a "side" amounted to maybe ten chips, obviously from a bag, put in an expensive plastic to-go container... Come on people, this is Oregon, use a small paper bag, or don't even give me the chips at all if you're going to skimp. 1st impression, not so hot! $8 for a 1/2 ass sandwich, and yes, I only ate 1/2 and my starving co-worker ate the rest, much to his displeasure. At least the service was good, but that doesn't offset mediocre food.

Fantastic find. New business specializing in craft beers and deli sandwiches. Looking for fried food - sorry - no fryers. Kim (owner) took care of us. Great suggestions on food and beer selections. Fun place. MAX accessible.

An absolutely faboulous restaurant.  So cozy and warm, you just feel like you are at home.  The food is superb, I had the Reuben and it was by far the best I have ever tasted.  High quality meats and put together with just the right amount of extras.  You have got to try this place, it is awesome.

This place is my new favorite lunch spot! The sandwiches are so delicious! The Gobbler is my favorite, turkey, cream cheese, and cranberries. The BLT was great too and the potato salad was a big hit. We haven't tried the beers yet. Must do that sometime when it's not lunch and I don't have to get back to work. Love this local family-owned business!
