Nice sports bar with pool and shuffle tables upstairs. They do get some bands and music to go out with friends, negative - small dance floor. The age group seems older sometimes. Also, not many vegetarian options, seems more bar junk food at times. Good parking and quite a drive to get there to the far west-side.
Review Source:Do I have to pick a star? Stay away from Coyotes on Thursday nights if you want to sing karaoke, but have never been here. Seems that the guy running karaoke plays favorites to the regulars and doesn't give time to new singers.
My wife goes every week with her friends for karaoke. I have gone twice now to surprise her, the first time being on her birthday. Both times I signed up to sing my one karaoke song. Both times I was snubbed an opportunity to sing. Both times I watched others (locals) sign up and sing (sometimes multiple songs) and I never get on the board.
So tonight I had it and told the karaoke guy to just scratch my name from his list and said it was disappointing they didn't allow new people to sing. He looked at me and said..."I've never seen you here before." Â Why should that matter if my name is on his list? I let him know I would not be singing my song.
It gets better. Suddenly my name appears on the board, I again tell him I'm not interested in singing and he just shrugged at me. Next thing I knew my name is at the top of the list to sing. So Mr Karaoke guy looks good, and I the ass when I don't go up to sing.
I walked out, and will not be returning.
Disappointed, to say the least.
The first time I went to Coyote's, I wasn't very impressed.  The food was blah, we were  seated next to the restrooms, and the traffic going in and out of the restroom was really loud and distracting.  But, since then, I've been back for the live music they have on Fridays and Saturdays...and I've had a blast every single time that I've been!  I'm so glad that I don't have to journey out to Portland to have a good time!
