So, this is the story that made us seek out The Cabin:
Friend: when I walked in this place, a couple of guys at the bar say to me "you're not from around here". Â I say "well, I grew up in Vacaville".... They say, "like we said, you're not from around here".
That was his queue to chug his drink and skedaddle.
Now, this of course was Oldman's queue to seek out this place and a see if the music, in fact, would stop when he walked in... with his hat too low and his skin too brown. Ha, nope. Seemed to me to be a normal ol' local watering hole. Well, a watering hole with a HUGE backyard and patio, and thee sweetest old cat warming a barstool. The cat doesn't have a proper name, we were told that his name is whatever ya want to call him. Cat had to be nearing 20, and probably came with the deed to the place.
This spot is kind of a pain in the ass to find... just go down the dusty road, but once you've crossed the RR tracks and the sign saying "no turning back", you 've gone too far. So, just pitch a quick left before the tracks. Heard there's some really good, raucous live bands playing there on the weekends... you're welcome.
I like coming here with my husband and to meet up with friends. This place is a true hole in the wall. The parhanially kinda keeps you memorized just looking at all the "trinkets"/ art work. The beers are reasonably priced and they are always perfectly cold. I went there when the Buschnell girls/ reps, they were not thatt friendly. I am only assuming because I am also female might have felt threatened? They could of sold their product better- then again this review is not about them. The bartenders are very nice, Â friendly and they make their job look easy. I have been a server before and I know just how hard this job can be. This is a fun place to go to and they have different events. Â I will keep coming back and can't wait too!
Review Source:I love this bar! I Moved to Solano County from SF almost 5 years ago and right now, this is my favorite bar! Its rowdy, loud and they have lots of really fun shows. Every friday night, they have really talented DJ's and if you dont like what they are rocking out, there is also a juke box that has almost everything! Some people have told me this place has a bad rep, but I have been there a lot and have had nothing but fun! The bar tenders are all real foxes and they have good cheap beer. There are penut shells on the floor and a big fire pit in the back yard. 2 pool tables and Fooseball. Last month they also hosted a HUGE event called "Foxy Boxing" . Girls beat each other  up and I cannot recall the last time I had so much fun.
This place is not a flashy marina bar, but it is a great place to go kick it back, relax and have a beer. Good crowd, good prices and fun entertainment.
Bring your ID. The Security staff if tight there.
I would totally recommend this place to some one with a budget and looking for a wonderful dive bar.
