I give Elsie's these 5 stars based on 3 factors
1.  The pulled pork barbeque is real slow cooked smoked pork and is really done right altho the sauce is a bit too thick for my taste it tends to overwhelm the meat. There are very very few BBQ makers in this area that slow cook BBQ, they usually just boil the pork, maybe roast it a bit and add liquid smoke or some other god awful stuff. There is no texture just limp meat. What do they put on their BBQ at that joint on 211  North outside of Middletown, it's awful.

2.The lady behind the counter was as nice as she could be.

3. Location in a beautiful area of NY near the Wallkill River with a view of
the Shawangunks. The building is nice, simple and old fashion. Beautful

4. O yeah # 4 the portion was a generous pound to go at a very good price ($8) with a lot of sauce.

The best! Food, service, atmosphere! I dine there once a week and have never had a problem. Wonderful!

They have the best chicken parm around!!! Great family friendly place!!
