We had a lot of fun on a Wednesday night in July 2012. Â The music starts at 8 and I think there was a $6 cover charge, maybe starting at 9 - but we got in before that and stayed until about midnight. Â They had drink specials every night and Wed night was a $2 beer in a tall glass. Â It may have been Miller Lite (not sure as I did not have any). Â It was NON smoking, which made it so so very nice. Â There are tables/seats outside so people went outside with their drinks and smoked and it didn't seem to be too much of a hustle for them. Â
It's a typical piano bar - YOU as a customer make it as much or as little fun as you want. Â The performers seemed to have a good understanding of crowds and tailored songs, comments, etc. to fit the audience. Â On a night we went, they kept it pretty clean but still a lot of fun. Â
The two male players were really good. Â The girl player was just okay but she added a variety to the male duo. Â Waitress was attentative and came back to our table just at the right timing (not too often). Â It did take a while for her to bring a drink. Â There is a full bar so you can also get up and get your drinks, too. Â The main player managed the amp and kept the volume at a pleasantly loud level.
It seemed like there were no kids allowed (in Texas, many bars let parents bring kids, even little kids). Â By 10:30 or 11, all the seats on the main floor were full (and again, it was a Wed night). Â They also had seats upstairs with a balcony overlooking downstairs (this part did not fill up when we were there).
The food menu is limited - but it's a bar. Â It had about a dozen items, such as chips and salsa, burger, and a fried shrimp plate. Â We had a burger - nothing fancy but was not bad.
My husband and I were there for about 3.5 hours, had a burger, one margarita (tasted watered down), one bottled beer and several nightly special beer, and our total tab was $28!
We are in Branson for a few more nights so we may check it out again on a Sat night!
We've been to better ones before but again, if you don't have fun at a piano bar, it's your own fault! Â Go there, join the crowd, and have fun!
First and last time to visit, we are from KC and we must have been there on a off night, for everyone! Â The drinks were expensive, the bartender was not in the mood and we split after a drink.
If they have a night that is on, the bartender was not clear on when it was. Â Sad to see in a town of entertainment that this place is allowed to operate.
There are not too many places in Branson for late night entertainment for adults but Ernie Biggs is the place! Located at the Branson Landing, the dueling piano bar is a lot of fun. The crowd gets into singing and its very interactive. We went on a Saturday night and it was very crowded. Go before 9 if you want somewhere to sit. Go before 8 to secure a good seat. Â There is a cover charge. They do serve some food and have a full bar. I have to repeat this is "adult" entertainment so if you get offended by dirty jokes, cursing and lots of sexual inuendo, then you better stick to something like the Baldknobbers show. My only complaint is the smoking in the bar. But its a bar so I guess you have to deal.
