Came into Everybody's after rafting down the white salmon river with All Adventures Rafting. We were tired and ready for some hearty food and yummy beer.
It's a seat yourself pub that was very welcoming to polite children. We found a shady spot on the lovely large deck and parked for 90 minutes of chill time. I ordered a sampler of beers (11 beers). The were nice small pours (I'd guess 2.5oz). Decided to get a Pint of the ISA (and a growler to drink tomorrow at the river).
The drinks and food were well timed and the waitstaff was ever present if I needed anything further. People on the deck were friendly and the conversation kept flowing amongst friends and strangers alike.
The nachos are indeed spicy and delicious, the chips were chunky artisan style, perfectly hearty. All and all a perfect pub experience.
Ventured here hungry following a day of golf at Skamania due to receiving plenty of recommendations to this place.
Self seating and we landed a nice spot on the outside patio. Not much of a view unless you're standing near the edge and peaking past the bad views below.  The beer was good and arrived quickly. The gal says she's relatively new and proceeds to spill my beer on our group. Okay cool...onward and upward! So we quickly place our order with an appetizer (the awesome nachos) requested to arrive pre entrees. It arrives 20 minutes later and we've watched tables seated after us receive their meals already. The nachos were quite fantastic, but holy smokes they're spicy. I don't recall seeing any sort of warning on the menu and its coated in jalapeños.
We wait, chat, drink our beers, stand and stretch. Repeat. Picnic tables aren't meant for two hours + of dining. Our server reassures us our food is in fact coming, we wait another 20 minutes. Finally well over an hour after ordering, our food arrives. And it's mediocre at best. Nothing like all the rave reviews I received from friends.
Perhaps we arrived on an off day for them, but I wouldn't be trying this place (by choice) ever again.
Go for a beer and nachos (if you aren't in a hurry) and you're in the area...otherwise, stay in Hood River and opt for Full Sail or one of the other bunch of brewery options all around.
It's good get out of my 'hood occasionally and head to...the..er...Hood. Hood River that is. For reasons I will not bore you with, we ended up stopping off in White Salmon first and discovered this little gem of a brewpub. We did a full sampler of 12 (?) beers. Â It's not on the menu but just ask and they are happy to do it...also it was ridiculously cheap...$11 or $12. The samples pours were large enough to share between two people. No complaints about the beer selection...at...all. They are brewing up some tasty beers here. I really enjoyed the Country Boy IPA, Pucker Huddle Porter and the Daily Bread Common Ale. Nothing I tasted here was bad to be honest; I just prefer certain styles over others.
The place smelled INCREDIBLE when we walked in. They were house smoking something. We're a mixed bag of 'vores so finding a place that can accommodate all of our food preferences can be challenging. I loved the Mediterranean Plate and it was HUGE. The hummus was clearly made in house and fresh. My fellow diners all enjoyed their food which included: sweet potato burritos, the house made veggie burger and house made lamb gyro.
The vibe of the place is casual, friendly and very inviting. Can't wait to go back when it's warmer and the patio is open.
Few places have a better atmosphere in the daytime than this place. The beer is swell, and the vibe is even better. The views of Mt. Hood on a clear day? Amazin'. I've never had a meal here I didn't like, but for whatever reason I've never made it here after dark.
I swear if the AMTRAK schedule was more conducive I'd take it up to Bingen from the 'couv and spend the night at the top of the hill in the lovely old White Salmon Inn. No, no, NO! I am not walking up that hill from Bingen to White Salmon!!
Ohhhhhh, wait! If I do I'll "need" beer instead of just wanting it? Hmmmmm. How hot did you say it was on the day I'm walking up the hill? Ohhhhhhhh, as hot as the wee blonde waitress at Everybody's? Okay!
In the words of Robert Parker (1966's Robert Parker) , "I'm  "Barefootin'!"
SPOILER ALERT: The shuffleboard table has been removed! 4,863 stars.
This was by far the best first date with a brewpub I've ever had. It only took me two sips from their Country Boy IPA for me to be ready to invite them for a "night cap" back at my place, and it wasn't just the amazing beer.
Everybody's has the best of everything (Everybesty's?) and I really wish they were in my backyard.. or that I could live in theirs. From the moment you walk in and experience their warm and inviting, fancy-log-cabin-meets-hootenanny-barn decor, to the sad time you have to kiss your pint glass goodbye, every part of you will be everyhappy. (I won't apologize for stupid wordplay.)
You walk in to smiles from the employees, friendly eye contact from other patrons (WHAT?!) and a prompt greeting and invitation for seating. I must emphasize the service, because as Andrew H. said in his review, "The service here is so good that you'll know you're not in Portland anymore." He's right. The wait staff and the bartenders are genuinely friendly and unpretentious. IT'S AWESOME.
The beer is just fantastic, and I was very impressed with the food. I can count on one hand how many bars and brewpubs serve food I love, and this is one of them. Get the pub burger XXX style. Peanut butter & pickles sounds like a combination only a pregnant woman would love, but they have perfected the art of an explosion of tasty goodness into a burger. Trust me.
Other beers you must try (if you can't do them all): Bro Brah Bitter ESB, Pucker Huddle Porter, & the Goodwill IPA.
To top my night off, they had live music that I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE. There were very talented bands playing jazzy, bluesy, home south music that made everyone move some part of their body, regardless of will power.
Perfect date.
So, even if you're a total teetotaler, you need to come here.
I think this place has easily the BEST FOOD IN THE GORGE. Â And it's in a location you'd never expect (White Salmon, really?). Â And it's not just a "beer and a burger place" (although they have both of those as well), they also have BURRITOS and CURRIES. Â Seriously, WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?!
I don't usually go crazy about salads but after a long day of hiking a crispy beer and some hoppy greens can feel pretty good. Â Get a salad here and add some steak to it, it's a meal in itself.
But I'm guessing, if you're here, you do partake in the water/barley/hops/yeast magic known as "beer". Â And the beer here is very good, some of the best in the Gorge. Â (NOTE: I'm not willing to be as bold with a "best" claim on the beer, just because there is much more fierce competition in the area...and which brewery I like the best is highly depending on context/my mood) Â It's also worth mentioning that everything brewed here is a bit on the hoppy side, even for the NW. Â I don't mind this at all (I LOVE it), but it bears mentioning. Â Even usually non-hop-centric styles of beer like "porter" will smack you in the mouth here.
The service here is so good that you'll know you're not in Portland anymore. Â You can ask them to split a check and get a smile instead of a stink eye, amazing.
Speaking of eyes, there seem to always be very attractive women in here (and probably dudes too, but I was distracted). #gorgeistheirgym
Speaking of views, the 2nd-best- view-of-Mt-Hood-from-a-brewery can be seen from here!
Visited a few breweries in Hood River then crossed the bridge and so glad we did!! Â The $2 toll RT is worth it! Â This place had the best beers hands down.
$4 a pint; had several free tastes. Â
The staff is very welcoming and service was top notch .. thank you Tommy!
We sat out on their sunny deck; it's surrounded with wind barrier; got warm enough to take off our jackets (early March)! Â Mountain views.
Mediterranean Plate was enough for the two of us -- see photo.
All the food coming out looked delicious, plentiful and reasonable priced.
Only complaint is they need better signage; you will drive right by if you don't know where you're going. Â But I hear that's in the making.
Would have loved to have gone here early in the day in order to take in the fantastic views of Mt. Hood from the outside deck. Â
Everybody's Brewing is located a short hop across Hood River (10 minutes from downtown HR), which requires a $2 RT toll to cross the Hood River Bridge. Â The restaurant sits high up on the north side of the CR Gorge, which affords beautiful views of the surrounding area and Columbia River. Â Definitely a cool spot to slug down some pints after a day of outdoor activities in the HR area.
I ordered the pub burger $10 (w caramelized onions $1 xtra) w/ sweet potato fries ($2 xtra) and a beer. Â I ordered a Big Brother IPA after 5 minutes the server came back and told me they were completely sold out...??? Â Chose the Goodwill IPA which was...standard. Â Â The burger was a real miss....as I started eating it, it disintegrated in my hands. Â It was ...pretty disappointing. Â If I'm paying $14 for a burger/fries it better blow my mind. Â Everyone seemed to rave about the burrito and the mac n cheese -- maybe those were the ticket? Â
Service was decent here....I like the decor and local art is beautiful. Â
I would consider coming back here to give it another try -- at least for the location. Â You certainly can't go wrong on a sunny day drinking beers on that patio taking in the beautiful views of Mt. Hood.
Worth the $1 toll (each way) across the bridge to White Salmon to check out Everybody's. Â The Country Boy IPA rivals Hop Lava from Double Mountain if you are a hop head. Â The hand cut fries are a steal at $4 for a huge plate of crispy fried deliciousness. Â A must do if you are spending some time in the Gorge!
Review Source:Very good brew, great service and food!
We didn't intend to have desert, but our server mentioned how good the brownie made with peanut butter and hot chocolate sauce was and it was indeed a 10!
I agree that it is a bit loud in there, but with good beer, food and service I can live with a loud dining experience.
The beer was good; deserves a 4-5 rating. We had a Porter and an Oatmeal stout; would definitely drink them again.
The service was just OK; nothing special. Acoustics need some work; there was only three other tables used, but way to noisy.
Even though it was tight on the main drag, it was hard to find. They need a sign that jumps out at you; current sign blends in with the building.
We stopped in with friends after an afternoon of Mountain Biking around Hospital Hill. Â We were greeted when we arrived and sat down quickly. Â Our beers arrived quickly, which was good as we had worked up quite a thirst on the trails. Â However, there was one hitch, the keg with the beer my BF ordered, had just blown, the Common Law. Â We were asked to wait and we did. Â I ordered Cashed Out Stout, so we shared that beer while we waited. Â In a few minutes we told they couldn't get to the next keg, only two ladies working that day. Â We offered to help with the reach, there were 3 guys in our group, they were very good natured, smiled as they turned us down. Â
We ordered the Flat Iron Burrito with Mango Salsa. Â It was huge and more than enough for the two of us. Â We ordered fries for the table to share, and that topped us off. Â
Before we finished our food, our waitress brought us out a pint of the Common Law. Â They comp'ed us that beer. Â It was awesome! Â We'll definitely go back, this is the kind of place we want to patronize. Â Friendly people, good food, great beer and true customer service.
Good Beer, decent service and Awesome Hoodies! I didn't have any food this last time, but the food at all previous visits was excellent. The Hoodie I just bought there is of really good quality, one of the better ones for brewery standards.
Awesome back patio with some great views and the have live music often.
I know, patronizing breweries are a waste on me because I don't drink beer. After white water rafting my son-in-law suggested we and the out of town family visiting stop by Everybody's Brewing. Everyone except me (and the children) Â partakes of the brew. First off, the presentation of their beer sampler was absolutely perfect. What an impression it made on the out of town family... eyes bugged out and all wished they ordered that.
My daughter and her husband split a sampler and they had excellent things to say about the beer served. So much so that my daughter was convinced I would like it and wanted me to try. Hee hee right-nope.
I did try their buffalo wings and Mediterranean plate. Oh yea! My cousin is a vegetarian and I encouraged him to try. Oh yes! We have a winner. An assortment of olives, hummus, pit, grilled red peppers and well...oh yea! My personal favorite of course are the wings. I didn't even share that. Thanks cousin for being a vegetarian! I enjoyed immensely.
Wow. Wow. Wow. There isn't one bad beer. The service was fantastic. The sweet potato fries are out of this world.
After white water rafting we went to Everybody's with the family. I had an amazing lamb gyro and I got some of the sweet potato fries. I swear the sweet potato fries were like a dessert. I think their was even cinnamon in the batter. Delicious. I really like to drink Everybody's beer... Haha... I seriously do though. You really have to go to the brewery to try everything. Get the full experience. Just go.
Stopped in after a hike, and was really impressed. As appealing as the patio was, having spent the previous 4 hours in the sun, we opted to sit at the very large, wood bar. Pretty big space, and I appreciated the openness; as the tables weren't all cluster-f'd. Very clean, as well.
Have been enjoying their beer in the PDX-Vancouver area for a couple years now, but it was nice to get to the source and sample some of their seasonals and less-distributed brews. Got the tasting tray ($10), and was able to try all 10 of their beers. There wasn't a bad beer in the bunch; though I wouldn't label any of them as exceptional. The consensus (3 of us) favorites were the ESB and porter.
The menu looked great, and was filled with healthier than normal pub fare. But since we weren't very hungry, we just ordered the Mediterranean Plate; which was great. Perfect balance of pita, hummus, olives, feta and nice big, fat slabs of roasted rep peppers.
Staff was awesome too. Lots of smiles, timeliness and information. Filled a growler w/ ESB, and we were off for some disc golf.
Looking forward to returning; perhaps for some live music and shuffleboard.
Was in Oregon for a day and wanted to try one of those fancy dancy "micro brew" pubs my Portland friends tell me about every time they're in LA. So I'm driving along Hood River and this was the closest. WOW.
I had first had the Country Boy IPA, followed by the Bro Brah, and the grilled chicken sandwich. Besides the beer, the grilled chicken was amazing. By the time I was done, I was debating getting a second one.
If all microbreweries were like this, I would debate moving to Oregon.
I had had the Country Boy IPA on tap in PDX at fine establishments, and finally on a trip to the Gorge went to the brewery.
Beautifully done in hard wood, spacious, window over-looking the eastern Gorge and into the brewery itself. Â Many hoppy beers on tap of their own, and an expansive menu for a brew pub. Â Had the sweet potato fries and caeser salad.
Definitely, the place to be in White Salmon! Â A hop, skip and a jump from Hood River.
"Watch out for the metal plate, it's hot," the bartender says as she lays down my pulled pork nachos.
"Metal plate? Hahaha who uses metal plates" I say, laughing as I Â grab the edge of the tray to position it on front of me, promptly and painfully searing the white hot and very real aforementioned metal plate into my middle finger and thumb. After a few pints I can be really fucking dumb sometimes.
This was probably my favorite brewery to visit on my recent vacation to the Pacific Northwest. The place is pretty big and decked out with some fabulous looking wood everywhere. There's tiny toy soldiers and action figures lined up behind the bar, I forgot to ask why, but it did look cool. There's some nooks in the front corners of the establishment with couches so you can sit down and have some beers with friends. I wish more breweries in San Diego would do this.
The Country Boy IPA hit the spot. It's a very west coast style IPA with tons of citrus hop flavor. PNW beers are known for hoppiness, sure, but I noticed during my trip that most Oregon and Washington beers don't seem to go for this particular type of beautifully citrusy hop profile, which a lot of San Diego brewers have mastered.
The other beers were very good for the styles. ESB seems to be a very popular style up here in the PNW, and most places have a great example of the style on draft, this place was no different.
Besides the fact that they did their best to help me avoid burning and disfigurement, the bartenders were very helpful. The pulled pork nachos were very good, although next time I'll remember to ask for the jalapenos on the side and remember not to burn myself on the goddamn metal plate.
If this place was open when I lived there I may have never moved away (OK I exaggerate). Everybody's is an asset to the town of White Salmon. Not only do they keep downtown alive and lively they make a wonderful slate of brews. I must say Country Boy IPA was an eye-opener. If you enjoy hops, you must try it. I was lucky enough to have a tour of the brewery. I like the way Doug thinks!
Had a tasty burrito in warm surroundings. And if the weather is right, the outdoor deck with view of Mt. Hood is as good as the area can offer.
I have mixed feelings on this spot.  The staff is cool, the view is amazing, and Everybody's is set in the picture perfect town of White Salmon.  The food is  standard but good quality pub fare.  The prices are pretty average.  But with the exception of one or two beers, there's nothing that I would order again. Â
Double Mountain and Full Sail are better stops in this region.
Drop whatever you are doing and go here now! Well actually except for today because it is Monday and they would be closed. But if you are reading this and it's not Monday, back away from the computer and drive to White Salmon.
Everytime we go here we end up discussing the pros and cons of moving to White Salmon and it is because of this place. Yesterday was an exceptionally good visit as the boyfriend was emailing me real estate listings for places to live in White Salmon.
We came in absolutely famished from finishing a bike ride in the area that took a little longer than expected (see food cart adventure from previous day). We were lucky enough to snag a table from a group that was leaving and at that point I noticed every seat in the house was taken save for one bar stool. Our table was cleaned in a flash and our server was right there to take our drink order.
But before I get to the beer, I have to rave about the sweet potato fries! There's probably nothing I could write that would do them justice. Spicy and sweet, these were little bites of heaven with a dash of cayenne pepper. They tasted great with the sriracha sauce and the blue cheese.
The beer is fantastic. Try anything and you will be happy. Their imperial IPA that is on tap right now is great and not nearly as overpowering as you might expect from an Imperial. I had the common ale which is also a great beer and stands up well with the food.
The rest of our food was equally delicious. Our group had the seasonal lamb dish with a rhubarb sauce  and came with polenta (cheesy goodness!) and asparagus. I had the mac and cheese with jalapenos and ham. It was good but maybe a few too many jalapenos overpowering the flavor. And another in our group had the yakisoba which was also raved about.
Our server was wonderful, often we were checked on by two people which I was amazed with as busy as they were. And the prices are extremely affordable.
A great atmosphere, family friendly and a nice place to relax for the weary snowboarder, cyclist, hiker, etc. It is decorated with local art and there is live music on weekends.
Hmmm maybe I should take another look at those real estate listings... :)
We already knew that Everybody's Brewing does a great job with their beers but we hadn't had an opportunity to visit the brewery and sample the food so took the short drive from Gresham to White Salmon. Â
Sandwiches (pork and chicken) were very good. Â The fries? Â Not quite so good - a little overcooked. Â Lunch menu was varied and extensive. Â Bigger entrees were available beginning at 3 pm so we were too early to try them, but they sounded interesting. Â Nice job on a kid's menu with both order off the menu or a "put it together yourself" option. Â
Great selection of their own beers plus a few guests. Â The three beers that we tried were all very good. Â
Service was great! Â Decor was enjoyable and we're really looking forward to being able to sit outside on the deck in the summer time and enjoy the incredible view. Â
Congrats Everybody's on creating a great pub to go along with your great beers!
I love how almost every little town in the Northwest has a nice local brewpub: it makes travel easy, like a little bit of home wherever I go. However, we all know that cute and local don't always add up to excellent beer. Fortunately, at Everybody's Brewing, they DO! And then some....
Everything I love I'm a skeptic of when I'm someplace new. But I have a list of standards: red velvet cake for bakeries, breakfast sandwiches for little cafes, pork belly (if at all possible!) for new restaurants. For breweries, it's an IPA. And since it's what I always order at a new brewery, and even though when it's good it's heaven, there's always a moment before the first sip where I steel myself for disappointment.
But the Country Boy IPA on tap (and crafted) here at Everybody's was just lovely. Well-hopped with a vibrant citrus kick, it was refreshing and dynamic all at once. The Cash Stout Stout was equally impressive: heavy on the chocolate and coffee, with each distinct note blending into a deliciously deep sip, it was hard to decide which one I liked better. Ended up being the rare time that we just shared back and forth, instead of my dear man gallantly taking the one I like less (the usual routine).
Everybody's also pours a seasonal IPA, which I didn't love (although would be a great gateway beer for someone with less of a palate, or less of an obsession with citrus and hops together). Smoother, softer, a bit thicker on the palate: little more like an amber, with a bit of malty character. My man actually preferred this one, and apparently it's quite popular there. And with six other brews on tap, you're guaranteed to find one that your party will like.
Can't say much about the food, but our soft pretzel was perfectly salty and the stout-infused mustard yummy (and eye-wateringly intense, in a good way!). The menu was certainly decent, your standard PNW pub fare with its own local twist for meat and produce sourcing. There's a great back deck for good weather, and a family with some younger kids came in for dinner so you can feed your young ones here while you enjoy a pint if need be. If you're down in the Hood River area and love a great IPA, take a quick trip over the bridge and up the hill to Everybody's, and enjoy!
We stopped by this brewpub on a Sunday afternoon after buying apples around Hood River, and we really liked it. Â The staff were super friendly and nice, and the beers were top notch. The food was varied and well-priced, and the portions generous. Â
The patio out back has a killer view over the river, but we just sat at the bar.
We'd tried many of their beers before at a tasting dinner at EastBurn, so we knew we'd like the place, but this visit really seals the deal.
Try the Country Boy IPA or the Porter.
I was in the Tri Cities area from Sacramento and my cousin suggest we check out Full Sail in hood river and a few pubs near it. We stopped in for a quick beer on Friday afternoon (6/11/10)
I tried the 9 beer sampler and couldn't find a favorite. They were all good. I couldn't believe that the brewery was fairly new.
We left for a few hours and came back around 11pm to the the band that was playing. The place was packed, yet we still received fast service. Around closing time, we met one of the owners. She came by to say "Hi" and told us a little about the place that she and her boyfriend (the brewmaster) had opened. She was very friendly, even gave us a few T-shirts on the house.
If I didn't live 750 miles miles from this place I'd be a regular there. It's a great friendly neighborhood bar. I will be wearing my t-shirt often around Sacramento and telling everyone who's going up near Full Sail to stop in here and check it out.
The best atmosphere, service, and grub in the Gorge!! Great view when the mountain is out too! After living here for 7 years and going to restaurants around the area that were inconsistent in service and food quality (or too expensive for the quality), Everybody's is a refreshing welcome that consistently delivers on all fronts.
The food is exceptional for the price. Most everything is around $9-$11 and you don't leave hungry. In fact, you'll be lucky to finish your plate. Â The service is equally consistently good -- even on real busy nights, this place cranks out food fast and efficiently.
Here's what to have: The Pork Sandwich, the Chicken Sandwich, and the Pork Nachos!! The fries here are the best in the Gorge, and the side salad is the best side salad you will get east of Portland. Many people love the burritos as well, but there are so many burritos in the Gorge, that I don't  need to get my burritos here. There are too many other amazing items on this menu.
If you're there in the winter, try ANY curry -- Last I looked they had the Pumpkin & Lamb Curry which was to die for. In the Fall they had a Chicken Curry -- all were excellent!
Beer. If you like good PNW beer, EBs is your spot. You'll find yourself drinking with mountain bikers, kayakers, skiiers, kiteboarders, and local families who spend their evenings here in the warm, woodsy atmosphere, and with an incredible Mt. Hood view when it's clear out.
If you're a music buff, come on the weekends for some of the best music in the Gorge. These guys book solid musicians every weekend.
