We've gone to this location countless times over the past decade, starting with the Barn Tavern, and have to say the Farm is a great fit. Authentic barbecue, tasty appetizers, and lively bar out back.
We've sat in both the deck/bar out back and in the dining areas, both had good service and atmosphere. We've enjoyed the fried pickles as appetizers. The kids chicken fingers are to die for - absolutely something an adult would eat as an entree - fresh, crispy, and delicious. Happy hour specials during the week are a great deal.
There were two things that kept me from giving a five star review - we were going there Friday night and wanted to do a reservation. My mother called and was told early in the day they didn't take reservations, but she would have a table for 6 ready for us. When we arrived at 6, the hostess was abrupt, saying "I'm not sure why anyone would have told your we'd have a table ready..." type deal. If you don't take reservations just say that, and NEVER argue with a customer. We left and went elsewhere.
The other negative was they claim to have "gourmet" flatbread pizzas. after ordering them, they are tortillas with toppings, they were soggy, and certainly not up to pizza standards. Either do a real pizza or get it off the menu.
Went here for Father's Day this past weekend, and it wasn't as great as our experience out another Farm location. Parking lot is terrible, however the location itself is awesome, right on the river.
We tried the sampler which was alright, however I had 2 mozzarella bites, that had no mozzarella. Then my brother, dad and I all got burgers. My brother likes them like charcoal, and got it medium well, my dad medium, and mine medium rare. All three of the burgers were well over well done. Even my brother thought so.
Outstanding Meals and Drinks. My wife and I have been here a couple times and we went as a family to celebrate Father's Day early. We had Laura as our waitress and she seemed a bit passive and not confident as a server. I wasn't sure what the specials were as we were never told. We really love this place and hope that with some of the negative reviews that management works on some of the "small" or not so small things that could put this place in the 5-star catagory.
