This place is such a nightmare. I accidentally got roped into coming here for the Spurs game. I know, I know...crowd central. But it was just miserable. We asked 4 different people for drinks and waited for over an hour. So much so that we all closed out our tabs and ordered directly from the bartender. You are allowed to smoke in there, which if you a smoker is nice, but if you're not you end up inhaling what would probably be a pack of cigarettes and smell like an ash tray. They do not have very many beers on draft, but they do have those beer tubes!
Review Source:Awesome  atmosphere.
I am a big fan of beer towers.
So it's a plus that they have them here.
Pool tables everywhere, dart boards, literally this place screams, " let's get drunk and have a badass time"
Food was decent, fried pickles and boneless wings. Bar food pretty much, but it was pretty good.
Service was eh, but it was still a great night.
Won't be coming back again and will persuade our other friends to do the same. First, the place is filled with smoke. If you want to play pool, I suggest going somewhere else where you won't have to come out of the place needing to take a shower and wash your clothes. Second, on Sunday nights they charge $3.00 just to get in the place. I mean if they offered anything like live entertainment/karaoke then I would understand the cover, but just to come in and drink, I don't think so. Last, and the most important fact that has us disgusted with this place is we went in there on a Friday night after work and our designated driver was our 18 year old son. It was 12:45 a.m. and we were told that he would have to pay $10.00 per hour and even though they close at 2:00 a.m. he would still have to pay $10.00 for the last 15 minutes. Sad thing is we and most all our friends work in the restaurant industry so, going out after work and spending an average of $25-$30 per person is typical. That night we had five of us there that were drinking. Since they insist on our son paying this ridiculous fee, well they can lose the hundreds of dollars our friends spend when we come in after work. 3rd base is right across the street, the environment is not smokey, the staff is friendly, and they don't have ridiculous fees assessed to their customer/guests. We were comfortable with the smoke, but, these fees are ridiculous and I hope they will enjoy losing the money we spend there, all because they wanted to squeeze a few dollars out of our pockets. Bad business practices. The only reason they get a star is because I am required to rate them with a star.
Review Source:I like it here! Â I don't play pool, but I do play darts, and Fast Eddie's is great for that. Â I like to stop by for a round of darts after an afternoon of shopping.
They don't have Miller Lite on draft :(
BUT they do sell bottles by the bucket :)
AND their buckets have 6 beers rather than the 5 beers that some other bars get away with!
I never even noticed that they allow smoking until reading some other reviews, so I guess it must not be that smokey.
We've been here a handful of times. lets just say they are very strict when it comes to showing ID. My friends and I arrived here by taxi and they would not let my friend in the door who is 32 and turned 33 this year. Â hMmm so that doubled our cab fare to go bk to the hotel and bk to Fast Eddie's. I understand but it just sucked.
POOL: The pool is by the hour, I believe $12.. well that's cool for serious pool players but for us that it can take up to 30 min. for one game.. lol.. its by far most cost effective for us to use the $1 per game type table... not regulation size. The tables are decent, adequately spaced apart, but it was pretty empty when we went not sure how it would go on a full night. The waitresses werent that attentive to the pool tables as our men constantly went to go refill our drinks by the bar.
BAR: It was ok but several; times we had to flag down our waitress. but I understand itw as a sat night so its understandable. But... my issue was that she looked at my empty glass more than once and it wasnt until my bf asked did I get a refill. Hmm.
ah well you win some u lose some.
NFL: we came here one sunday and they have great bucket specials. We ordered a bucket of 6 for $12.. not bad. Penalty box on main has 5 for 10 so same deal $2/ea.
I like the 5 bucket b/c it allows me to finish the beer while they are all still cold. I'm sippping not chugging at a frat party here. Â
FOOD: BAD. we came here (nfl sunday) and ordered a pizza asking for no onions, well they dont do that b/c all the pizzas are frozen and they dont make them. gross. but we were starved and ordered one anyway. Totino's taste better than that!!!!
I'd give this place 1 star for food and 3 stars for the bar but 4 stars for ambiance bc it doesnt charge a cover and the music was chilled out and pretty laid back atmosphere.
Will I come back? sure. But I won't order food.
Hmm there's so much to say that I'm not sure where to start. Well guess I'll start with service.
When we first walked in, the hostess greeted with a smile and she seemed nice and was very cute. Our waitress though don't seem too please to be taking care of us that night. We had a corner table which was fine since it gave us lots of room but when our drinks are empty(literally) and we can see our waitress standing talking 3 tables over is a bit aggitating.
For the food we ordered fried mushrooms and both times they were very hot and crunchy on the outside but tasty and soft on the inside which was perfect, and seems to be the only thing good that night.
Our pool table was not so great. It has a tear in the cloth and we can literally put a quarter in it. It also wasn't straight, as in when shoot a ball across and it curves...real annoying. Maybe it was just that table.
We had a couple of drink as well as shots and since my friend paid for it all I can't say anything about their price but I will say that they took a while to get out (15-20mins) but it was probabaly just our waitress.
Overall experience I give fast eddies 2 stars and I would of given them 3 stars since I got the hostess number before I left but I can't get over the service of our waitress to bump it.
Great place, except for one thing: Â it's an ash tray. Â Smokers heaven; non-smokers hell. Â The staff cleans as they go, but smokers leave butts on the floor and tables.
Good location. Â Big place. Â Plenty of TV's, pool tables, and dart boards. Â Great music. Â Decent fried bar food & drinks. Â Reasonable prices. Â Staff was friendly and quick. Â Clean - as clean goes at 1am.
I have to say this is one of the many things I miss about Round Rock. Its very conveniently located, Its respectably clean, and it really isn't all that bad price wise. The atmosphere is really casual and the employee's are very friendly. I love all the TV's everywhere, definitely a great place to catch a game. yes, check them out for yourself sometime :)
Review Source:Update: Â Amy left and works elsewhere. Â The waitresses are pretty cool for the most part. Â
Danny is not a good guy. Â He needs to go work at some place where they have older people. Â Or maybe he needs to get laid so he can relax a little. Â I would pay for a hooker for him (double the price) so he could calm down. Â LOL. Â He doesn't allow some music to be played and he covers his ass too much and doesn't treat you like a customer if you are there too much. Â He has told me that "You shoot here too much". Â Anyway, the pool hall is nice. Â They don't keep it up as good as they used though.
As far as pool halls go, this is a great place. All the tables are in great shape, the music is good, the food is decent and there are tons of TV's to watch sports. Â I can't think of a better pool hall anywhere. Â You can still smoke here (just south of Round Rock), but that really doesn't bother me because billiards without alchohol and smoke is just too weenie.
Review Source:I went there on the free pool night, so the place was pretty crowded.
The table I was playing on was in a reasonable shape, however I would not be able to get a slow ball run too straight close to the pockets...
Also I did not like the fact, that the space between the tables isfairly close, so if you moved to the head of the table you would have to wait till the two tables in that directions made thir shots first. I prefer more space.
Also they only had 8' tables which I find still weird to play on...
The waitress was not too interested, but at least she would not talk into your play. In generell I prefer clicks and if you want to get in touch with people to play with, I'd suggest rather to go to Slick Willies on Burnet...
