Wow! I'm a northeasterner who comes down for spring training every year, and was tipped off to Fat Katz by a local. The top-notch draft beer list in itself probably would have warranted four stars, given the number of times Heineken and Yuengling are the "premium" beers at restaurants I visit down here (or occasionally Sam Adams, but I didn't come from Boston to drink Sam!). Dogfish Head? Bell's Two-Hearted? Yes, please! But on top of that--friendly, helpful staff, in busy times and in slow ones? And really tasty food--a deliciously satisfying Cubano, or the special fried chicken club that I'm devouring as I type? Five stars from me. I foresee several more treks across the Comfort Inn's parking lot...
Review Source:Okay, flat out the best and most creative sandwich menu around. Â We've been there several times first alone, then with friends after Red Sox games. Â Everyone's review of their sandwiches was fantastic (our friends have owned several restaurants in MA - took a to go menu with him to 'adapt" one of them back home this summer). Â I had the blackened shrimp BLT - to die for! Â Friendly service staff - clean, but plain re. decorations, etc. Â Looking for a menu with excellent, unique sandwich options cold beer or wine - reasonable prices, you've found it!
