Staff was friendly. Food was great and prepared in a timely manner. We ordered the barbeque burger and the club sandwich, one with regular fries and the other with sweet potatoe fries. All of the food was excellent!

A good chain restaurant with a diverse menu--pretty much everyone can find something they like here. Customer service has gone through the roof since they hired a couple new managers. Fatz is one of those places you can go when you're not sure what you want and usually walk out satisfied.

Food is a mixed bag. The ribs are downright impressive and the Calabash Chicken is reliably good. Steaks are good but I've had to send too many back for re-cooks; unfortunately this is rather common around here so I can't knock Fatz in particular for it. The cheese fries are fantastic and hard to resist despite the calorie count. Sides are all nice, but I am most partial to the cheese grits, which you just can't find anywhere else.

Perhaps most importantly the wait staff is very accommodating for kids, to the point of being welcoming. That's rare just about anywhere.

Unique recommendation: Edisto Shrimp and Grits.

Great menu, food was very good, prices are reasonable.
Not a fan of wait staff acting like they're your best friend and asking you personal questions or trying to be funny. Just smile, take my order, and get my food out in a reasonable amount of time. I don't go to restaurants to have the wait staff be my friends, it's a business transaction, don't waste my time.

Eat there several times and the food and service have always been great. Its your typical chain steak house menu with a few local favs. The decor is nice as they have really amassed quite a collection of local memorabilia. Pricing is on par with the rest of its competitors perhaps a little less. All in all its a nice place to eat.

This location has the standard Fatz layout and menu. Service was accommodating and they gave us a free appetizer because it was NASCAR raceweek in Bristol.

I absolutely love their Calabash chicken, but the new Fatz lighter side menu is just as good. Hands down one of my favorite chains. And the rolls, the rolls are like a dessert.

    Will certainly return!

What a surprising place! With a name like Fatz, you think you're getting yourself into some pretty unhealthy food, but the menu was the opposite. Fair selection of food across the board with healthy options. The decor is homey and their southern hospitality is what they pride themselves on.   Imagine an Applebee's and go a level up. Our waitress, busboys, and manager all came at separate times to check on us and to see if all our needs were met. The food is decent but their customer service is excellent.

Yes. It's a chain restaurant .... But it's a pretty good chain restaurant. The portions are large, the prices are decent and they have a nice atmosphere.
