Down Home

The Down Home is the best place in Johnson City to see live music, hands down.  Everyone should see a show here at least once.  So many greats have graced the stage here from Townes Van Zandt, Doc Watson, Bela Fleck, Old Crow Medicine Show and so many more....Open Hoot is free every Wednesday night and is always entertaining, even Kenny Chesney got his start here at the hoot... ha!..The kitchen is always serving great food, you can always get a bowl of soup beans and cornbread or any other Mexican fare. The specials are always made with love and vary each night. If you haven't ever been here or haven't been in a while..it's worth the trip. Also try some of Madeline's homemade cheesecake. YUM!

A great place to be Friday and Saturday nights. Great down home atmosphere, good down home food, and the best down home music, the best every. Ed and Danny have been in business for 35 years. What does that tell ya.
