Pals

These are the best Dogs I have ever had in my life!  They serve 'em one way, take it or leave it: hot bun, dog, mustard, onions, and chili.  Order a sweet Tea, best in the area!  Don't get fancy, drive up, say "four dogs and a tea" and then drive around to pick up a veritable delight.

I can't drive past a Pals without stopping ... even if I have just eaten Thanksgiving dinner!  There's always room for a Dog!  Heck, if I pass out while driving anywhere in a 25 mile radius, my truck will steer itself to Pals automatically!  I say that it's so easy to get a Dog at Pals, that they practically throw them at you from the road!  Heck yeah!  I'll catch 'em with my mouth!

Yes, they have burgers, fries, shakes ... the sauce burger is awesome ... but just do yourself a great favor ... get yourself to Pals.  It's a secret little pleasure ... and it's not illegal, immoral, or fattening ... well that last depends on how many Dogs you're gonna get ... I try to do four at a go, but sometimes you just gotta have a half dozen!  

For a drive thru restaurant, it's funny that they have parking spots ... til i figured out why ... you go thru, get two Dogs and a tea, pull into the slot, eat said two Dogs, then pull back into the drive thru for two more!  You get 'em smokin' hot (enough to scald the roof of your mouth, be careful), and you orbit the restaurant as many times as you want!  Who ratted me out on four circles?

Also, at the Johnson City Pals on Lake, they also hold 50's style dances in the Parking Lot!  Grab your poodle skirt and bobby sox ... we're goin to the Hop!

My mouth is watering thinking about Pal's and its deliciousness!

Scattered throughout Tennessee, Pal's is a drive-thru burger & hotdog joint.  There is nowhere to sit and eat, so be prepared to eat in your car & out of your lap!

After attending an engagement party with the boy, I was starving.  We purposefully didn't eat any food at the party so that we could go to Pal's with an empty belly!  

We pulled up to the turquoise building and the smell of greasy fries- yum!  I had the cheeseburger and fries.  The burger was on the cold side, the cheese wasn't even melted.  But honestly I would eat anything at this point- I might have been a little overserved at the party, only 8 glasses of wine!  The fries were great, incredibly salty and crispy!

I hear the milkshakes are out of this world - I can't wait for a return trip!
