Sometimes, you just want some good Mexican food without a lot of frills. Â This family owned and operated place really delivered ... and the decor was nice, too. Â Housed in a location converted from a previous incarnation as a steak house, the cowboy style decor blended into a nice upscale mexican restaurant feel. Â The service was prompt, being seated by a young man who informed us that his sister would be right with us to take our order ... and she was. Â The menu was varied, lots to choose from, including homemade tamales. Â With four people in the party, we had a chance to try several different dishes (all excellent), but anyone familiar with Mexican cooking knows that the real proof is always in the home made tamales ... and they were beyond excellent ... they should be prescribed by a doctor in the event of Mexican food withdrawal! Â I wasn't expecting this level of food and friendliness at a roadside Mexican restaurant ... but I was blown away ... and will definately be back. Â Try their desserts, as well. Â Mmmmmmm.
