Fazoli's

I went there with my mommy and little brother when Papa John's messed up our order next door.

Food:  I had a pizza kids meal.   The pizza was yummy.  I noticed it had bumps on the bottom, but you didn't taste the bumps when you ate it.
Atmosphere: No answer
Service: No answer
Other: had a kids' menu /activity page with dot-to-dot and tic tac toe that I liked

Overall:  liked it a little

Yum. Fazolis is cheap (ding!) and filling (ding!) and yummy (ding!).

I usually order the baked ziti. It takes a tad bit longer to make than any non-baked dishes, but it's still pretty damned fast. The breadsticks, although covered in garlic butter, are a nice substitute to french fries. Or if you order a meal, you can get salad instead of fries (I'm referencing fast food). The salad actually looked better than salad you'd get in any bigger, nicer restaurant. There was more color, less chunks of watery iceberg, and cubes of mozerella, not the waxy shredded cheddar (or whatever).

No more buzzing pagers. The staff gives you a number and brings your food to your table. No more plastic. They now serve in dishes, and you get actual silverware.

Really nice, cheap experience! I'd give five stars, but there was just nothing terribly special about the experience. Maybe I'll change that if it becomes a new trend.

Yes I am Italian and yes I think Fazoli's is a good choice for "corporate" Italian food.

For me, the Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce is much better than what you would get at Olive Garden and it is half the price! Of coarse it is not as good as a nice family owned restaurant, but it tops many of the national chains!

Also the chain is going "green" by ditching the plastic plates, bowls and flatware. They now use real dishes and flatware. They have also started delivering your food to your table along with refills of those wonderful breadsticks!
