We used to go to Fazoli's all the time in Ohio and Texas when we lived there. Â Now we live where there isn't one, so any time we are near one we have to stop. Â (I wish they would move to the west coast.)
Is it the best Italian food ever? Â No, but it's quick, cheap, filling, and overall decent. Â The unlimited breadsticks are great (yes, they are a bit buttery, but that's what makes them good - if you don't like it, you can ask for some without butter).
My favorite is the baked ziti.
Another mediocre cha cha chain place on the west side for a coworker lunch. Really clean. really fast. Soft music in the background.
Their pastas are not very good. They come out a little dry and very little flavor.
I really do think they put too much salt and garlic on their bread-sticks. It is a good thing they are free. I had the Margarita pizza today and it wasn't horrible. Though, a little too much olive oil and not enough pesto.
Not your best rendition of "I" talian Fazoli's.
