Spudz N Stuff

I stumbled upon Spuds N Stuff a few weeks ago. I went there yesterday to refresh my memory for my first yelp post (which is exciting).

First of all, the concept of anchoring the whole menu on a baked potato is both creative and enticing. At first I was skeptical because the baked potato is more of a side dish. However, once you add the meat, cheese, onions, peppers, salsa (whatever else you can think of) the dish becomes a main course. They also have gyros, subs, and pitas. I am working my way through the menu because the food, by far, is both a great idea and delicious.

The atmosphere inside this quaint Chez Pomme de Terre is casual but clean. Being close to campus (USI), the ambiance resembles that of a coffee house or small sandwich shop. With that said, there is not a great deal of seating. However, they do offer carry out and delivery.

The service is very friendly and the food comes out relatively quickly. They do inform you if your food is taking longer than expected, which is always a plus in my book. Right now, Spudz N Stuff offers promotions and discounts almost every day of the week. (I think Monday is free brownie day).

I gave Spudz N Stuff a 5 out of 5 stars (I don't think it is because this is my first post). The first time I ordered a spud, I was reminded of the kabab shops during my study abroad experience in Scotland. While the space is not the greatest (as the case with most hole in the walls), the creativity, good service, and relaxed atmosphere gives this local hot spot the competitive edge. If you are the West Side of Evansville, I highly recommend Spudz N Stuff. It is totally worth it.
