I haven't stayed at the hotel since the remodel of the lobby/restaurant/bar and I must admit that the changes look great! Â Joining a few of my colleagues in the restaurant, I anticipated an experience to match the decor and atmosphere. Â Unfortunately, the service was lacking and the food was underwhelming. Â The guacamole was standard fare. Â The blackened salmon salad was acceptable but only thanks to a tip from a coworker who had eaten here before who suggested I order the dressing on the side. Â Great tip as I avoided an extremely spicy cayenne encounter. Â Overall, this is what I would expect from a standard hotel restaurant.
Review Source:Got placed in the Denver Airport Marriott at Gateway Park by United and was pleased to find that the restaurant inside the hotel is great. Â Worth a visit even if you are not staying at the Marriott, but certainly a good reason NOT to leave the hotel if you are.
The food was fresh and unique. Â Served like it was prepared by a chef as opposed to an hourly hire shlepping out your food. Â The spicy sauces were fresh and flavorful, the salmon tasted great, the ribs were good and the presentation was neat and clean. Â Prices were not outrageous, portions were fair but not huge.
Drinks were well made.
If you are staying at one of the hotels in the area, consider a walk over to Fire + Spice for drinks, dinner or appetizers. Â It's a nice place to sit at the bar and eat as well.
