Solid pub food in a very convenient location for visitors to Kiawah Island and other spots nearby. Â There seemed to be a good mix of locals and tourists.
The Fish Reuben is an excellent choice, as it offers something a little different. The rest of the menu is pretty standard fried seafood: shrimp, oysters, fish and chips and such. The fries and coleslaw sides are both good.
Prices were average for a pub. Service was friendly and efficient.
It's true that this is a local hangout, but every boater, islander or tourist is welcome. The service can be a little slow, but always courteous and the food is well worth the wait. Coastal tavern food at its best. Fried oysters, shrimp and fish and really good sandwiches, fries and slaw (not every place has good fries and slaw). Good choice of salads. Beer is cold and tea is fresh. Several Wide Screen TV's which can be too loud if its not your SEC team playing.
