Flappy's Pancake House and Restaurant

My wife and I eat breakfast here about once a week. I am a 2 eggs over medium guy with link sausage & potatoes and the wife usually gets an omelet. The food is always well prepared - the sausage they serve are about 50% larger than most breakfast places. The service is normally good - on occasion we might have to wait - but they are the 4th restaurant at this location and they are not that busy - it is not immediately on Orchard Road and the access is confusing for some. The previous owners also had good food but again, getting to them is a pain in the rear. I can understand the lack of wait staff - how can anyone expect them to pay more help with a small client base - come on guys - give them a chance - tell your friends about them and maybe they can get busy enough to schedule more people to cook & serve and then everyone will be happy here.

Went to have a luncheon with my family and mother in-law on June 30, 2012.  I am all about small supporting small businesses in the area and this place seemed to fit the bill.  Local Restaurant, close to home, looks clean.  Unfortunately, after my experience, I will not patronage the establishment again.

They had 1 waitress/hostess for the entire restaurant, thus the service was slow and lacking.  

I ordered the Strip Steak and Eggs.  The steak was supposed to be medium, but was undercooked and bloody, the eggs were also under cooked and watery.  Although I took my chances with the 'rare' steak, I didn't risk the runny eggs.

My wife had placed her order at the same time as everybody else, but somewhere in the mix the waitress either didn't put the order in, or the cook messed up because she had to wait for her meal which came 10 minutes after the rest of the parties.

When I thought things couldn't be worse, the bill came.  My wife had a coupon from the local flyer which they did not accept.

Overall, a terrible experience.  There are many places to eat in the area, if you want a good meal at a local establishment, I would advise you to seek another one in the area and not to waste your time or money on this one.

Food good , but waiting 20 minutes with tables open is discouraging.
