I enjoyed everything that I have tried here. They have a large menu that has something for almost anyone. My only complaint is the servers all seem new and took forever to get refills and put orders in. The decor is a little cheesy but is an improvement over "Yates". The desserts are quit tasty and are definitely large enough to share.
Review Source:Brand new as of this writing, you won't find another restaurant in the area with this kind of menu. If you visited this place when it was Yates', you won't recognize it now. Besides the entrance door being moved, the interior is completely refreshed. It feels newer and modern. A look at the menu will tell you the owners didn't simply want to compete with the local southern food restaurants. They are introducing new takes on southern classics. The sweet tea fried chicken was delicious but not too weird. The blackened tilapia wasn't just spicy, it was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The rice wasn't under-cooked like it is in so many places where I've had this dish. Service was a little slow on a Sunday after church but the dining room was packed and good food isn't rushed. The prices were reasonable - about the same as any other decent lunch choice in town except the food was much better. We'll be back!
Note: they do not serve breakfast
