  I've been living in Solomons for a little over a year. Even though this Food Lion is just a five minute walk from my house, I've gotten so much spoiled food from here that I go to the Giant in Lusby instead whenever I am able to. I've purchased moldy cheese, sour milk, curdled yogurt, chunky soy milk, rotten eggs, and rancid chicken even when labeled with expiration dates a month away. I recently needed some cage free eggs, but every single carton on their shelves - well over a dozen - was at least a week expired, and the stocker working the section looked surprised about it. I don't know how this is acceptable business. This store is fine for non-refrigerated goods, but don't bother for produce or perishables.
