I love this place! The food is so good...everything is made fresh in the kitchen..the burgers, the chips, the sauces, everything. I love that I can get grilled fish or a salad and not just typical bar food. They have great drink specials too. You come in just a couple times and the staff will know your name and what you drink. I would rather go here than anywhere else!
Review Source:Their food here is always large portions and fresh! I'm always stuffed half way through. I have to admit they had already won me over with having Lumpia as one of the appetizers. Very random for a sports bar. And surprisingly they are thick and made well. Â I will have to bring my own dipping sauce next time because the ranch or spicy ketchup wasn't cutting it. The menu could be organized a little better. I had trouble finding the chicken Caesar salad because it was under entrees.
I'm here during the day for lunch and the bartender/waitress Brittany is very attentive. It doesn't seem to matter what day or time it is, the people watching is very entertaining! It helps that there is some some sort of poker league there, so there is always traffic.
There is also a nice little patio for the perfect weather right now. All in all it's not a bad spot for a neighborhood bar.
We saw the reviews before we went, so we should have known better but I like to form my own opinions on things like these things so we tried it anyways! We ordered turkey burgers wanting something a little lighter than a regular burger but what we got was something between a rock and.....nevermind, it was just like a rock. It was so hard we had trouble cutting through it with our knives. I don't know if it was just overcooked or they had been sitting in the freezer for the past few years?? And I also have to say I've never had a turkey burger be any spicier; I enjoy spicy foods but I could hardly choke this down.
Also, our waitress stopped by our table two or three times (greeting and drinks included in those few stops) and the rest of the time we had to go up to the bar ourselves. There were quite a few people in there for a Thursday night, so I think they definitely could have had a few more staff members in there to help out.
The only reason they are getting two stars from me is that we called in our order before getting there and they had it ready pretty much just as we were walking in the door, and the sweet potato fries were reeeeeeally good!
Ever wonder what happened to the Addison DBs that got married & had kids? Â They're probably at this bar. Â And the burnt-out, no longer caring bartenders are there. Â And they've brought the terrible hip-hop tunes with them too. Â The perfect trifecta of "no thanks"
I stopped in hoping that I'd found a great hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bar. Â Instead I was treated to a rude bar staff, someone's Lil' Wayne Pandora station for music & 50 year olds trying to act like they were in their 20s.
The only saving grace was that price for a Guinness wasn't outrageous, but since I sat for 15 minutes with an empty glass, I didn't order a 2nd.
This place is "okay." I would not go out of my way to go here... it looks like a cross between a family burger joint and a very small grown up bar. However, the drinks are less expensive than most places and they make a decent martini. The staff is friendly, service is quick, everything looks nice, clean and new so it's an okay place to stop by if you're in the neighborhood.
Review Source:The Frisco Bar is a Good place to have a beer and watch a game if you are in the area.  They have lots of very large flat screen TVs (probably 7 or 8 - I don't remember).  The food is pretty good, just keep in mind that you are at a bar, meaning I would stick to the nachos, burgers, wraps, or sandwiches.  The crowd is a decent assortment of local people and the staff is nice and quick.  There is live music on friday night and a DJ on Saturday nights.  Now that the Fox Sports Bar has closed, I will return to  The Frisco Bar on game nights!
Review Source:Went here because I bought a Groupon and wanted to show my support for the Frisco community. First thing, on their website, it said it had happy hour all day on Tuesday! Waitress casually said it was Wednesday. Checked the website on the phone and it still said Tuesday. Update your freaking website. Thumbs down for a non existent happy hour.
I tried the sampler - taste like horrible frozen food. There is nothing gourmet about the food. I also tried the Frisco Melt. That was 10x tastier than the sampler.
Service was slow because it seem like they had an amateur poker thing going on.
Two star bc environment was okay and the melt was okay. If I don't wanna drive far for a drink, I may come back.
I actually really liked the food there. Â It was grilled chicken and fries. Â Nice to have some options other than bar food.
Drink prices are about what you would expect. Â Only think I didnt like is we accidentally hit some nights where a band or karioki was going on -- not really our scene.
Other than that it was a good place, with a nice staff.
Went for the 2nd time with a coupon on a Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was relatively empty - maybe 3 tables full. Service was very slow at responding to requests (and not because they were busy). Burger was OK, but I've had much better. Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Don't waste your time here - there are many better burgers & places to get a drink.
Review Source:We didn't drink here but used a coupon to check out the food and all I can say is YUK! Boyfriend had the fish- it was covered in a tempura battered then fried, no flavor what so ever! Id much rather have Van Camps boxed fish from walmart if that tells you anything . Hes a big guy not a picky eater and took one bite! I had the burger. How can you mess that up? Heck I can season up a burger at home and grill it and its delicious but this place...I don't know what was in the meat where it came from or what they did but Yuk..I wont be going back! I didn't finish it and tried passing it off to him but he refused it too. It was SO bad I can't believe they serve that crap to people. Its a nice place, they need to get creative and come up with some better recipes.
Service was alright but not great! Had to ask 3 times for something, I dont know, she may have been new or having a bad day. Usually Im not too critical but people need to be warned!
I have been 2 times. Â Once for lunch. Â I just don't get it's appeal at all. Â Do we really need a sports bar in a suburban lot next to Kroger? Â There is literally a park 200 yards Away. Â I guess if you really need a watering hole this close to your house it is convenient and I did run into several neighbors both times I was there.
So if a cheers kind of place is your scene you will love this place. Â If I hang out with my neighbors, I'm happy to have them over to my house. We have pool, big screen good wine, a great patio and free beer. Â Why go to a bar down the street? Â Not for me.
I came here with a group of 6 or 7 people. The bar is small and the service was terrible. Our waitress had no interest in serving us, so we went to the bar. it literally took 15-20 minutes to get 6 or 7 people beers or mixed drinks (mostly bottled beers). We had the one drink and left. Won't be coming back.
Review Source:BOTTOM LINE: Â Probably won't go back - and that's too bad, we need a place like this, and it has/had potential...
WHY GO?: Â Have visited this bar/ restaurant about 6 times and each experience was different. Guess it depends whether or not there is a big game on or if it's late at night or if it's a Friday night vs a Tuesday night....
FOOD: Â Typical Bar-type food, nachos, burgers, salads, etc. Food is quixotic - sometimes good - sometimes not. The glassware and silverware is ALWAYS DIRTY.
VALUE: Â Not bad - pretty good value for the large servings.
SERVICE: Â Service is so-so, some servers great- some don't care.
AMBIENCE: Â Noise level is way too loud. Yes, it's a bar- but with 8-9 TVs running different games, all of them cannot have the volume on at the same time. Run the tvs- but have music on... AND not so loud that you can't talk without shouting. ALSO - my hubby likes the games, but I'd like to have at least one TV with FOX NEWS, or a news show of some kind on.
Bottom Line: Â Haven't been back since I ordered salad and it came with a bad- runny, watery dressing- and later that night was sick as a dog... Don't think much of their hygiene. ..
