Lots of touristy glitz and could be fun. We thought the food was okay, but not worth the prices. But then, we are from Indiana. The old music videos were fun, but some of the newer stuff was objectionable - and they supposedly cater to kids. Consider this. Maybe they have seating without television screens, but I did not see it.

Service was very good. Had a Veggie Pizza and Natural nachos. There was only 4 other people in the Bar when we walked in at 9 p.m. The cheese was cold on the nachos, The pizza had little cheese but the vegetables were fresh which was nice. it is on the Sound Side of 98, right on the water, but there is NO View.  Probably wont go back.

We were using the new apple maps and it got us lost, we saw the bright colors of this place and were drawn in like flys to a bug zapper.

The assault on our eyes didn't end when we got inside, as the bright colors carried into the interior and a member of our group said he felt sorry for who ever had to paint the place, and the newspaper turned menu continued this motif. The menu was haphazard and random, eventually we settled on some fried fare.

The food was ok, but might be better as gator bait for the army of lil' gators they keep in a tank under/in front of the restaurant.

A complete tourist trap. I knew this going in but some friends told me it was still worth eating there. I don't think it was all that special. I was really looking forward to their hushpuppies but they ended up being very dry and tasteless.

We had dinner here. Looks like a fun place. We had a short wait in the back bar by the patio area. There is writing on the walls, etc.  Hubby ordered the crab cakes. They were not good. I'm not sure they even had crab in them. I had the gumbo. It was just ok. Fried shrimp was dripping oil. I didn't want to even taste it. Our waiter was friendly but the food was way overpriced. Huge mistake stopping at this place. Keep on driving!

Delicious burgers...The buns are sweet sourdough omg! Our waiter Tim was so wonderful and attentive, we loved him! I had the Fud Hotdog and it was good as well--I just don't like chili with beans. Other than that, everything was tasty :)

Went here with my family for lunch. Nieces had BBQ sandwich and burger. I had the fried seafood platter. Fish was pretty good and shrimp had a coconut flavor.  Not bad.

They have a big gift shop, games, area for a band, playground, and 100 small alligators, where they do a kid oriented show. There is an option to feed the gators as well. It was worth a stop.

This is the first time I take the time to write a review and the main reason why I'm doing it is to prevent others to spend their money like I did.  I read the reviews and decided to give Fudpucker's a try, since all the reviews were positive.  Unfortunately my experience was really unpleasant.

For starters the restaurant was not as cleaned as I expected, and it is overpriced.  The food..  OMG the food was abysmal.  My hubby had a fried red snapper with corn and hushpuppies, and I had the 'great idea' to ask for the fruits and nuts salad.  My hubby's red snapper was obviously frozen...  (I wonder why a restaurant so close to the ocean would serve frozen seafood).  The fish was soaked in oil...  it looked like a sponge full of oil...  really disgusting.  The hushpuppies were made with old cornmeal, and the corn was bland (you can tell that was frozen corn as well).  My salad...  Well, I wonder how on heaven's name you can go wrong with a salad.  Well, the vinaigrette was awful, the walnuts were old and saggy, and the oranges they used were canned oranges.

Ok but not everything was bad...  The services was good, not excellent but good....  The drinks were also good although way to overpriced.  The gators area was not what I expected but it was ok.

Anyway, the fact is that I won't go back to Fudpucker's, and I won't recommend this place not even to my enemies.

Hi everyone who is going to Fud Pucker in Ft. Walton Beach. Beware they do not clean their Lantern (lamp shade) we were sitted on a booth, after ordering, our food arrived, then we started eating, I noticed alot of "flying things" not knowning what it was, I looked up and saw that this BIG THICK DUST on the shade of the lamp, it seems that it has not been clean for atleast 5 days. I called the General Manager "JOEY LUNA" and all he said was "Thank you for letting me know about it" that is all. After that we got the bill. I though at least he would (the manager) take care of the bill. But NO!!!! all he said in a deragatory words were "you just trying to get a free meal". I am from California and staying at the Hampton's Inn (across the street from PubFucker).... Just imagine the DUST everywhere... and if they don't clean... I would afraid to find out the about the kitchen... if they cannot regularly clean the shad of the lamp... just imagine.... do you think the kitchen is clean???? Well, ask Joey Luna who is the General Manager and he will give a derogatory "that you are just trying to get a free meal"...

All I wanted from this Joey LUNA was a satisfaction customer services and all I got was a remark of "I just wanted to have a FREE DINNER".... and this is the manager????

So if you are new here visiting in Florida... I suggest NOT to go to FudPucker's at Ft. Walton Beach.... VERY DIRTY... RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS GENERAL MANAGER (JOEY LUNA)....

I will never forget MY experience at Fubpucker they sure did "PUCK" me up.... which Joey Luna enough!!!    My rating for them is one only for the nice waitress Shannon...

AGAIN DO NOT GO TO FUDPUCKER.... BECAUSE YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!  I GUARANTEE

I REALLY ADVISE ALL OF YOU DO NOT GO TO FUDPUCKER IN FT. WALTON, IN FLORIDA

For this area - it's as good as any. Close to our condo so we go there every time we're in town. Good fish sandwich and good burgers.  Pricey, just like Angler's and Floyd's. It's a tourist rest.  Casual. Staff was good to us - we don't try to befriend them.

You haven't been pucked until you have been Fudpucked ...  or something like that.  Nice.

Any place that has this as their slogan, primary pitch, or whatever you want to call it loses my interest real quick.  Seems odd to put this everywhere in a family place with kids running around, at least some of the time.  I guess it's that few weeks a year they are really catering to as being a destination.

I will say we did not eat here and after hearing the stories, I'm glad we did not.  We hung out for a bit and had beer.  At first the bartender told us the outside bar was closed and after the first beer he would not serve us any more.  But once his business inside died off, he had no problem coming out a few more times to make sure we had drinks.  Funny.  He wound up being flexible with us after all.

From the outside, this place appears to potentially be a big party place.  But I'm not sure what it has to offer besides the partying atmosphere.  I mean you can buy one of their $25 t-shirts with their slogan if you like; but other than that, I'm just not sure what they are serving up.

The place has been around for 30 years and has 3 or 4 locations.  It must be the Spring Breakers keeping this sort of place alive because I cannot imagine what else is.  We didn't even see the reviews left for this place until after we were here.

Weird place, tourist trap basic plain food. Certainly not worth the money.

Hamburger made me sick. We also came in from torrential rains and were soaking wet yet they put us under an air vent to shiver!

I typically stop here for a quick bite in the late evening because due to its close proximity to my hotel.  The food is your typical bar food (slightly over-fried in most instances).  Definitely a tourist stop but they do have fun T-shirts.
Alligator tank is pretty cool, and even better when you get to hold one of them.

Horrible!  This place is a total joke!  The service, if you want to call it that, is scary! The bartender, christain, should have his own reality show called the biggest idiot!  I gave one star because the fried pickles were good.

I took a friend here a few nights ago and this was very interesting. A Sunday night at 7pm and we were in a hurry and hungry so we say our prayers and head to Fud's on the Island.   (Remember, break glass in case of emergency from my last review?)   =)

Review: The hostess was polite, we were seated right away. It was cool outside and the indoor temperature was very comfortable. Asked waitress what she recommended and for the specials and she pointed out the most expensive menu items. Too bad for her we were not tourist and already knew what we wanted. Ordered calamari for the appetizer, rice w/butter, and a huge double fillet of Trigger Fish which came with a salad. Server comes back and says, "Sorry, we are out of calamari" (which we really wanted).  My date really wanted a salad and the server then told her salads were not the ideal menu item here.  LOL.  Again, the server points out another expensive menu item, but my date orders one of the designer salads instead.  Dinner finally comes out and the server explains to me that I do not get a salad because they used all the salad mix to make my date's salad.  What?  So I am given coleslaw (with a smile).  Roger-Wilco. Then we have to ask about our rice and the kitchen is blamed for forgetting it.  No problem, it came right out.  Next we had to ask for silverware and napkins.  The server was nice, the salad was good, the Trigger Fish was good (and they were huge portions like the menu stated).  However, running out of food and the such brought this down to a 1.5 -2 star.  I really want to like this place...so I will try again later on.  Check it out for yourself, it is actually fun eating here, an experience!  I only eat here because I know what I am doing (semi-professional), but I am no Steve Irwin (and I lose large sums of money in the stock market).  LOL.  Your best bet is if you slept in a Holiday Inn Express (which they have down the road) before eating here.  =)

We loved our fried pickles, the rest was pretty much just fried bar food.  Kids had fun looking at the alligators before dinner.

Terrible food.  Fun drinks.  Smells like a frat house inside, nice cool water misters  outside.  Alligator tank is fun for kids.

This experience didn't begin well. We were told that we couldn't be seated because "the wait staff needed a 15 minute break." After waiting about 20 minutes I was able to convince them to give us a table.

The service continued to be questionable as we began to order. The food was par for the atmosphere, rather loud and distasteful. If you are vacationing in the Ft. Walton Beach or Destin Florida area, do yourself and your family a favor and skip Fudpuckers. In the years we've been coming here, we've never had a good experience.

I ate here two times during my vacays. I'm not really a big fan of this place. The best thing I tried here were the french fries.  The sandwiches are so dry and my salad was stale and old. They used old lettuce and it was soggy to the max.

Yesterday when I dined there I ordered the Finger Lickin Chicken (Buffalo style).  It was such a regret. The buffalo sauce they used was SUPER salty. I've never tasted chicken tenders so damn salty. It was so salty I wasn't sure if I wanted to give a complaint because I usually keep comments to myself.  After my meal, the manager (or owner ) greeted my table and thanked us for dining with them. He asked how was everything.  I told him the FingerLickin Chicken was wayyy too salty. Surprisingly, he was very nice about it. He apologized and told me I could have requested for a new dish. I told him it was okay and I'll be fine. I know not to order it again the next time I come back!

HORRENDOUS!  Went on vacation with my family and stayed in awesome condos across the street from Fudpuckers.  Decided to try it.  We called ahead like they recommended, but no only did we wait longer than expected, but an issue came up about seating , our request for a table of 7 was to be put into two booths.  When we explained to Claudia, the head hostess, that we prefer to sit together as a family rahter than be separated, she was not helpful and her solution was "...you can wait another hour..."  It took another hostess to problem-solve the issue and put us in a larger booth with an extra chair.  HORRENDOUS, Claudia!  When we asked to speak to the manager, Clark, he was defensive and basically laid the blame on us.  We hadn't told them we didn't want booths.  He interrrupted and spoke over my husband during their conversation; it was awful.  I am shocked that he was the manager.  HORRENDOUS, Clark!

The food was not on par with the prices.  The outside playgroud was too dirty for my toddler to play in.  However, our waitress was wonderful though and did a good job.

We wrote about our incident on their comment card before we left the restaurant.  We received a letter when we returned home from"corporate".  They apologized for the incident and actions of their Clark the manager and Claudia the hostess and enclosed complimentary "Gift CerFudicates" of $60.  AMAZING!  They have my address, they know I don't in Florida and cannot use them.  It's an empty apology because it is not costing them a dime.  How many of these letters and gift certificates do they send out?  How many empty apologies?  So, now not only am I complaining about Fudpuckers the restaurant, but also Fudpuckers the Corporation.  HORRENDOUS, Corporate.

I had a much higher review, but 2 experiences made me drop it-one the first night we went in, the girls at the front acted snotty and like we were bothering them by having to answer our questions. We ignored it, went to the bar and placed our carry out order. We got a couple of salads, they were great! The chicken on top was perfect, as was the egg on the other salad. Big, very fresh salads. Plenty of veggies. I wish there was more chicken though. The dressings we tried-ranch and honey mustard were FANTASTIC! It took quite a while to get our salads and it was pretty empty in the place-I even heard thebartender double check with the kitchen to see if they got our order.  Reading all of the writing on the walls passed the time pretty well though-it was cool getting to leave our mark.

That being said, I went back 2 nights later with my husband to get carry out salads, to bring back to the hotel room-he is on business down here and needless to say after a hard, long day at work he didn't want to sit in a noisy bar to eat. They told me they weren't doing carry out that night. Eat in only. I'm guessing beause they were so busy. Ok, so when you are slow, my money is good there but its going to take forever to get my food, but when you are busy my money is not good there unless I'm going to sit there and eat, and I would probably have to wait double the time that I waited the first time since you are obviously much busier... I don't think so! I saved my money and went elsewhere. The salad was good, the attitudes, not.

Bummer for them because I had intentions of going back for lunch before we left town today.

Last night I might have had the best french fries of my life!!! And I don't even like french fries.

Other than that, my friends and I enjoyed our $10 (ouch!) sandwiches and the place was crowded with spring breakers.

In summary, Fudpucker's is a wildly overpriced tourist trap but I'm sure I'll soon make another trip out there for those foodgasm-inducing fries.

Decent food but more of a great place to just hang out and enjoy the beach.
