This place is an absolute dump. Â My gf and I went New Years Eve 2012 for the buffet and show. Â The place looks like a low rate fire trap, at best, the food came from a Lebanese wedding the Saturday before I'm guessing, and the headliner was a waste. Â The local comedians and the Matt guy from North Carolina were good. Â Wasted $100 on the night with the over priced drinks and automatic $5 tip. Â Oh.....I can't forget the raffle for the 6 or so 'Coach' purses! Â FAKES. Â Never again!
Review Source:When I was in fourth grade, our teacher asked us to write a small paragraph about what we wanted to do for a living. No lie, at the tender age of 8, i wanted to be a standup comedian. I had grown up listening to Bill Cosby and Cheech and Chong records, and I KNEW i wanted to make people laugh. Fast forward many years later. Crippling anxiety keeps me off of the stage (for now), but definitely not away from comedians.
Funny Stop is a crapshoot. For every one good comedian, Â there's another really, really bad one. But the free passes are nice, and they call us constantly with them.
Drinks and food here are way overpriced, and there's a two drink minimum. It's not bad for a night out. And I mean, duh, I'm the dutchess of the damn place--I'm obviously there a lot.
My favorite comedians almost always play Cleveland. But for a fun night close to home, Funny Stop isn't bad.
