Gallis is absolutely amazing!! Where do you know that has entertainment 7 nights a week and never has a cover charge?? Well Gallis does! Food is delicious, one of my favorite appetizers is the sizzling shrimp .... Mmmmmm is all I have to say! Â So good!!! I would recommend Gallis to everyone and anyone who likes to feel right at home and enjoys live Music and a good drink!
Review Source:This place is located in a strip mall on the N/W corner of Carnelian/19th St. Â I went on a weekend with some friends. Â They wanted to see a band called Smoking Guns (The band is good). Â Once inside the place was packed. Â Hey, no problem right? Â Just order a drink from a cocktail waitress... NOT.
There were 2 bartenders behind a crowded bar. Â In the restaurant area, no service. Â Tons of people sitting with no drinks. Â Well if the owner is dumb enough to let people come in and get free entertainmant and hang with friends... He deserves not to make money. Â
The tables in this bar/restaurant do no match what is going on. Â Anyone sitting behind the bar in the low tables, have no view of the band or other entertainment at the stage. Â Very poor design. Â As I said the band was good, but crappy service and a crowded bar....
For the OWNER: Â I dont fight for drinks, you fight for my business... and you lost.
Older crowd but great ambiance. Quiet most times, bands later in the evening which mkaes for fun people watching in RC (hello Cougars!). Good selection of alcohol (Bookers, Makers Mark 46) and fairly tasty food with good size portions for the price. Only loss of one star for needing to track down bartender for water refill and various food items (sides, extra dressing, etc) while eating dinner. I never walk away from this place feeling like I over spent or didn't enjoy myself.

My husband had thet pesto pasta, which needed some substance. He said the pesto was ok. I had baked pasta and I enjoyed it. Â The garlic bread that came with our dishes was great!
For what we got I think the pricing was fair.
I'm so happy to have found this place. Â I live a couple blocks from Galli's and it is a great place to just go in and have a glass of wine and listen to music. Â I just moved here from Monterey, CA and I don't know many people in this area so was really happy to find it. Â I was concerned when I read a couple reviews about Cougars... so not true. Â Just all kinds of age groups and not that meat market feel. Â Love it. Â I have heard the food is good. Â I will check that out. Â Such a great place.

Green salad with bottled dressing for $12, (with 3 walnuts on it) and tuscany pizza that had bad chicken on it..yes the stomach ache followed.. Oh and 4.25 bud lights., no thank you! We will not return.
Great bar! I absolutely love this place, perfect for strong cocktails, really good food and friendly faces.
The staff is nice, sometimes takes a little bit to get noticed if they're busy, but it's worth the wait, live music on the weekends :) very clean ladies room.
the spinach dip is amazinggg and i love their salads!
Great place Restaurant/Cocktail lounge/Bar They have a pretty good selection of beers, and a lot of booze! - It's pretty small and between a Radio Shack & and a Pizza place. But, very classy inside. Definitely an older crowd. I went on a Sunday night, and they had Karaoke from 8-11p the Dj was very good!
Review Source:Searched Yelp for live music in Rancho and foud Galli's. Was a little concerned at first by the location; seemed like a strip mall. But I have to tell you the reviews are dead on! This was a great find! Â A diamond in the rough. The live music was first rate and the setting was awesome. The food was reasonable and tasty. This was exactly what we were looking for after a day of shopping at the malls. We even asked our hotel clerk where we could find some live music and she said, "Oh we don't have any live music places in Rancho". She was wrong. Go check this place out! The band rocked the house with 70's and 80's songs. It was awesome. We will DEFINITELY go back to this place. It is WELL WORTH YOUR VISIT. Trust me. It was a great end to a perfect day!.
Review Source:Ok if you want a quiet place to have a beer this is where you wanna be. The average age range is 45+ so if your young looking for the hotties, not going to find it here, ok to be fair, the hotties will be older. :0) The food is good and the place Is dark and gives you old Italian style feel. Again your here for the drinks and conversation no laud music so you won't be yelling to talk to someone. There's flat screens posted all over so you wont miss the game. A real laid back place where the older locals come to hang. You will definitely meet some cool people.

Review Source:I Â have been there many times over the last few years and always enjoyed it for drinks and entertainment. Â The staff is alway friendly and the crowd always seems to be enjoying themselves. Â However, I was floored the last time I was there. Â There were four of us and we had enjoyed our evening and asked for the check. Â I usually just glance at the check and pay. Â However, this time I noticed a charge of $2, which was labeled an "up" fee. Â In all my life, I had never seen this, but could guess what it was. Â I called over the waitress and she confirmed. Â If you order a drink "up", they assume you are getting more alcohol. I asked her if that was the norm and she said they always charged that. Â To make a long story short, watch your check as you never know what other creative charges this place will come up with. Â By the way, we were Saturday night regulars and have not been back since. The attitude about this "normal" charge was incredible.
I guess I have to add the usual Idisclaimer, it's not the $2 per se, it's the philosophy of the owner(s) about how can I find a creative way to rip off the customer....
Wow, if you don't get here before 8pm on a Saturday night, you'll have to fight off grandma and grandpa at the bar. Seriously, I have never seen so many MATURE individuals in my life. By 11pm, it's almost empty (except for some random cougars....ROOOAAAARRRR).
Don't get me wrong, it's an okay place. The food is good, the drinks are good, but when in the hell do they play the piano?
It is between 3 & 4 stars. It is a nice bar. Â Not a dive. Â It's crowd is more of an adult crowd (not for 21 year olds that want to party and get hammered). Â The live bands are great (every night). Â The atmosphere is great. Â The staff is great. Â It is more mellow during the week. Â Friday and Saturday nights get packed.
Review Source:I came here with a friend last Saturday night. I was excited to see a live band up on stage, but when we sat down we couldn't hear the music. If I wasn't facing the stage, I wouldn't have known that there was a band; it wasn't that there was so much ambient noise that it drowned out the PA, it just wasn't loud enough.
Service wasn't all that quick, but it was friendly. The drinks were so-so, but reasonably priced.
I love this place. Â The music is great. Â The food is good too!! The service is pretty slow, so if you plan on dining be sure to expect not too much attentiveness and slow service. Â I suppose that would be my one complaint is that although the atmosphere and drinks are great the service is pretty slow. Â i have eaten here several times and have had to send my boyfriend to the bar more than once during our meal to ask for silverware, refill on drink, etc. Â But I really love the lasagna and the beers on tap that they have!
It's a cozy little place too, great for dates!
After randomly trying this place for lunch and reading some of the reviews, I realized I probably came at the wrong time - lunch time.
The place was dead. Â More importantly, food wasn't very good.
Spinach & Artichoke Dip (The dip was not tasty and the bread was overbaked, pieces were more crouton-like than bread-like)
Meatballs (Probably the best thing for lunch, but again wasn't spectacular)
Sliders (I tried both the pulled pork sliders and the beef ones. Â The pulled pork didn't have much flavor and the regular slider just had a funny taste that I just didn't care for).
What I liked about lunch. Â Free refill on my cranberry juice. Â Waitress was pleasant.
Need to come back if only for the night-time live music, which seems to be all the rave.
I'm torn between 4 stars and 5.  This place has HOT music.  Super cool place, I've seen some GREAT acts here.  Check out Joe Jewell when he plays here.  This place us super unpretentious and reasonably priced drinks.  IMO this is a secret spot  in the 909.  Definitely check out the calendar this place (do Google search for Galli's) -- support places that support live music (I'm a little reluctant to give away this place, as I think it's not ruined and super crowded like many places in Hollywood!) and GREAT jazz!!!

With a full bar, a respectable list of predominantly Italian menu items, and owners who are extremely gracious hosts, how can you possibly go wrong? Â Although it's very nicely decorated, it still maintains a very casual vibe where you can definitely feel comfortable while listening to music.
For those of you who've been in the area for a while, like I have, you may recognize this location because it's same space where Sam's (an old dive bar) used to be, except this place is a million times nicer. Â If you're not familiar with Sam's, it's on the northwest corner of 19th and Carnelian.
