Update: I had my first bad experience at The Game. Â This is still my favorite place. Â Yesterday a couple of friends of mine and myself sat at the bar to watch the Spurs/Grizzlies game and have some beers. Â The bartender didn't seem too interested in working. Â It appeared like he didn't like his job. Â Took a while to get refills. Â Made us feel like he didn't want us at the bar at all. Â I wanted my out-of-town friend to experience The Game that I've always loved to go to. Â My friend's first experience there, however, went badly. Â Maybe this bartender doesn't like his job? Â For the first time, I tipped very very low. Â It was meant to communicate to the bartender of his poor efforts. Â Because of this bartender, I'm changing my 5 stars to 3. Â The food is still great, beer selection great, I love the environment. Â One bad apple.
Review Source:I'm mostly just reviewing this in response to the last review. Â They don't hate gay people. Â I'm gay and I go there with gay friends all the time, and never had an issue. Â I always considered it pretty gay friendly.
The table service can be slow, but it's usually a mad house on Fridays when I go ($2.50 pints). Â I've never had any shadiness go on regarding tips and the bartenders usually start pouring my Guinness by the time I get up to the bar.
