Update: I had my first bad experience at The Game.  This is still my favorite place.  Yesterday a couple of friends of mine and myself sat at the bar to watch the Spurs/Grizzlies game and have some beers.  The bartender didn't seem too interested in working.  It appeared like he didn't like his job.  Took a while to get refills.  Made us feel like he didn't want us at the bar at all.  I wanted my out-of-town friend to experience The Game that I've always loved to go to.  My friend's first experience there, however, went badly.  Maybe this bartender doesn't like his job?  For the first time, I tipped very very low.  It was meant to communicate to the bartender of his poor efforts.  Because of this bartender, I'm changing my 5 stars to 3.  The food is still great, beer selection great, I love the environment.  One bad apple.

I'm mostly just reviewing this in response to the last review.  They don't hate gay people.  I'm gay and I go there with gay friends all the time, and never had an issue.  I always considered it pretty gay friendly.

The table service can be slow, but it's usually a mad house on Fridays when I go ($2.50 pints).  I've never had any shadiness go on regarding tips and the bartenders usually start pouring my Guinness by the time I get up to the bar.

    Get the brisket queso nachos!

DO NOT go here!!!! They are rude and steal by adding more money to their credit card tips when the check out at the end of a shift. They will make rude comments about you without trying to do it in secret and HATE GAY PEOPLE!!!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!

I love any place that has as many TVs as this place does. When I want to watch sports there's two things I need. Many TVs and booze. This place has both. I've never eaten here so I can't speak on that but the bartender was nice and sports were on. What else do you need?

I always have a pretty good experience when I come here. Three stars are awarded for slow service (sometimes) and I'm always FREEZING when I'm there. The drinks are moderately priced ~$3.50 per beer and they have an amazing selection. The food is pretty good, but is nothing special. This is a wonderful place to watch a game!! Fans get rowdy and into whatever game is on which is think is pretty fun. The outdoor patio is gorgeous in the summer and a great place to enjoy a local band on select nights.

Love the Huddle nachos. Come with a great spicy chili, cheese, sour cream, guac, black olives, jalapenos and tomatoes. My kiddo and hunny had burgers which were huge but OK taste-wise. The outdoor patio is a nice, relaxing place to have a beer with friends

I used to live in Las Crcues and make it home a few times a year.  Every time I come home at some point I end up at the Game.  I think most of my friends in Cruces have mixed feeling about this place.  I think it's great!  The menu is awesome.  The have green chile chicken wings! I love these things.  2 of my favorite things in one.  They also have a great draft beer selection.  The staff is always great too.  Every time we get home we are will be here.  Watch out if you sit at the bar.  If you are too close the razor sharp edges on the bar stools don't feel too good on your elbows.  Cheers!

We tried The Game today for lunch.  My wife had the Turkey Reuben with a side salad and I had the Corked Bat Burger which was very good.  The highlight was the pecan encrusted green chile on top of the burger.  Very tasty green chile!  They offer many items that include the above green chile.  Very efficient waitress.

Pretty slow and bad service. Got an apology but didn't want one.

Hubby & I used to enjoy this place--pretty good food at a pretty fair price. No more. We went recently and found the prices have gone up and the serving sizes have gone down. My hubby commented that the plates are much smaller now so serving sizes of the sides (fries or onion rings) are about half of what they were several months ago. I can understand a restaurant needing to increase its profits. So raise the prices. Or reduce the serving sizes. But don't do both! Also, the up-charge for swapping out sides is outrageous! They charge $2.50 extra to get sweet potato fries instead of regular french fries that come with a burger. But they sell a side order of fries for $2.99. So they are keeping a $2.99 product in the kitchen (and not reducing the price of the burger, which by the way is up to $9.50 (for the All American) now) and charging me $2.50? So I'm paying $12.00 for a burger and a (small) order of fries? What a rip-off. Plus the place is looking very run-down. Had to swap out chairs to find one that didn't wobble. We won't be back.

I have to agree with the reviews out describing this building as cold. I go there regularly and have been cold during both the summer and winter at times. One time our server had her arms crossed and was actually shivering. I still love the food, but would like it even better if I was not freezing my a$$ off while I ate it. This is an area they really need to address.

Overrated in my opinion, but they have a good selection of beers (disclaimer: I don't drink beer) and typical tasty, unhealthy bar food.

Over-air-conditioned. Not too many vegetarian options. One notable exception: pecan crusted green chiles. They have an appetizer called the "corked bat" that features these with ranch for dipping, and they are phenomenal! You can also get them in a sandwich. Chicken wings are popular.

Slow, spotty service. Popular for happy hour. Good for medium sized groups. LOTS of TVs everywhere. If sports bars are your thing, you'll love it!

Been here a few times, and the food is consistently good, and hey, what's not to love about the green chile wings and Moose Drool on tap?

A great sports bar just off the campus.  There are TV screens everywhere, $2.50 draft happy hours, and TV's everywhere.  The food was good, and there were TV's everywhere.  If you couldn't watch your game, something was wrong with you, because there were TV's everywhere.  The servers were nice, not once did they block my view because all I had to do was look on the other side of me, because there were TV's everywhere!
Did I mention that this sports bar has TV's everywhere?  How about the $2.50 happy hour 32 oz. drafts?  No?  Well, there are TV's everywhere anyway...
