Geno's is great. I live around the corner, and go here often. It used to be better before they ran off all the talented management, but it still gets along.

I love this place because the beer is a-plenty, everyone knows me by name, and the sports channels always have the game I go in for. They always put my game up on the tv I want, and they'll usually kick someone out of my barstool if someone is planted there.

Minus one star for the fact that, if it isn't happy hour, food and beer are quite pricey. Happy hour is great though! SUPER friendly staff, glad that I found this place as a second home.

One of the best happy hours in Gresham. They always have all the games on and can make some pretty stiff drinks!

This place gets 5 stars based on the Awesome employes that work their butt off to provide amazing customer service, and are not given enough appreciation by the customers that go there expecting 4 star food and dinning in a sports bar. However the food is not worth going there for, which drags it down to 3 stars, and thats being generous. The owner is looking for the bottom line and has cut food costs exponentially. The cooks can only weave so much magic with the poor quality of food they are forced to work with. It is definitely BAR food. Some Entrees are acceptable, the Salmon and the Lasagna. The place is clean, and has lots of room for parties and families. If you are looking for a sports game, you can bet it is on one of the 24 tv's or just ask and someone will gladly put it on for you! Full bar, and experienced mixologists. Great for Duck games and Sunday Football. Breakfast is served sundays, and you cannot really downgrade on eggs or pancake mix, so its a safe bet.

This place is perfect for football Sunday.  It has like 100 TV's, including 3 wall size projector screens.

It doesn't get a 4 or 5 star from me, because although the bartenders pour a good cocktail and they usually have good beer on tap AND the waitresses are super nice....the food just isn't up to par.  Sure they can make a decent burger, but everything else leaves you feeling like there is still a hole that needs filling.  Not in the sense that you don't get enough (even though the chicken strips and fish n chips are one strip short), more like just not satisfied with flavor.  There is something missing and the prices are WAY too high for what you get.

i went in with a groupon..never have been there, so thought i would try it out. first off when we walked in there was a guy there staring at his phone so i thought he was just some random dude, so we decided to sit in the bar. Then he comes over and wipes down our table and tells us he was the manager..Eventually a server came over and took our order..we ordered a drink and 2 chicken salads...we eventually got our drinks but the salad took at least 20 minutes..and it was 9pm at night..horrible service..we made the mistake of ordering a second drink before our movie, we should have know when we had to actually go hunt her down and order it..after 10 minutes of waiting for a drink the manager came over and asked us if we needed anything( a little late) we asked if we could either get our drinks that we already ordered or cancel..of course she had not made them yet so we cancelled..long story short...horrible, horrible service !! I have another groupon to use there and i am not looking forward to it !! i hope they step it up..

Pretty average sports bar.  The service was really slow, especially considering they weren't even busy!

There are a lot of stinky places to eat/dine in Gresham, but this isn't one of them.

Yes, it is a sports bar and you can order "bar food".  Yes,  it can be noisy.  Yes, the decor isn't special (it's a sports bar).  If you want linen and atmosphere, go to the City Grill.  Otherwise see Geno's for what it is: a sports bar with very good food, pretty darn good service and GREAT PIZZA.

It is not my ideal drinking spot since the crowd seems to be barely 21 most nights that I stop in there, but the pizza is pretty good!

I have been to many better grills. The customer service was ok, but the food was dissapointingly bland and had cooled before it got to my table. Its within walking distance but have only been once.

Decided to try out Geno's because it was close to us and we saw they had gyros. We did order the take out a tad late at night around 9pm but considering they were open much later we didn't think anything of it. We walk in to pick up the food and it was so dead in there! Like not even one patron! Bad sign. Took a bit for the bartender to come out and take our card/give us our food. The whole experience was awkward. Got home and the gyros were on tortillas!! Could've at least spring for a cheap pita bread or something. Came with cheap tasting soggy fries oh and two fruit flies in the container!

We often eat here while watching sports. When ever possible we sit in a section where Dallas is our waitress. She remembers our "special orders" and always greets us with a smile! Thanks for
    Great foot and wonderful staff!!

Completely legit spot to stop in for a beer. And/or pizza. And/or to watch the game. During March - why not kill all three birds with one stone named Geno's?

This really seemed like more of a chain restaurant in terms of service and quality of food than "something totally sweet and completely local" as it had been described to me at MHCC down the street - but alas, I am easily influenced to walk into a place if they have both pizza and beer readily available - and on that one count, Geno's does succeed in having pizza and beer available for your consumption.

I thought it was fine.  Stopped there mid day to catch a game on the tube.  Had some wings that were pretty standard.  The bar tender was nice and helpful.  All that being said, it seemed like I could get the same atmosphere/service/etc at a ton of places. Hence the 3 star rating.

One of the better places on the east side. I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews as I always find good food, a clean respectful atmosphere and a good crowd. Drinks are OK, not great but the nightly specials are worth it. Very good and cheap late night happy hour food.

So someone complained to Yelp that my original review was "inappropriate" so I am back to rewrite it. Hopefully this will stick. It's unfortunate to say but this place is awful. Over the course of the past 2 years I have mistakenly dined at Genos and both times I got extremely sick. Now before you go saying "how do you know it was Genos that made you sick" or "it can take about 24-48 hours for a bug to kick in, maybe it was just bad timing and a coincidence" I am here to say it was ALL GENOS. The first visit I ordered their chicken wings. Mind you they tasted awful and as if they had been the victim of freezer burn then thawed out. The following evening (or early morning), I woke up with the most terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. I was up all night trying to rid myself of the poisons that Genos fed to me their terrible food. That right there should have been a big red flag to never go back. Well, about a year later, still horrified about my last experience, I was with some friends and they all voted to go to Genos for lunch. I was the odd man out, didn't matter what I said, that's where we were going. I decided that I would not eat and grab something later but about 15 min in the smell of the food got to me. Yes, food can smell good but be terrible tasting...and poisonous. I caved and tried a hamburger. It was dry and bland and the beat part of it was the side pickle. I finished it because I don't like wasting food (I work hard for the little money I make). Feeling gross, I continued my day until about 9 pm that night when I started to feel violently ill. There I was sitting in the office and the vomit came up with no warning. I felt so sick that I had a friend take me to Legacy ER to get checked out. Pepto wasn't helping, TUMS wasn't helping, not even soda water which sometimes helps. The ER diagnosed me with acute food poisoning and asked me what my last meal was. I said Genos and I kid you not, the doctor said "I would never go back there again. I have seen plenty of people in here before saying that their last meal was Genos and described your symptoms." I was given some prescription stomach meds and sent home.

The above was my experiences after eating at this establishment. Your mileage will vary but if I were you, I would stay far FAR away.

It was surprising to me that this place has gotten only bad reviews. I've been eating at geno's for years and it's always been good. I will say I haven't been there in about a year so things may have changed.

The onion rings are some of the best I've had. The pizza is awesome. Great crust and sauce. I'd recommend the bartender pizza. So yummy. Their nachos are great and the burgers and sandwiches I've ha have been great as well.

Huge projection screens for sports and the speaker at the the table for personal listening to the program of your choice is totally a nice touch.

I'll have to go back out there soon and see if things have changed. If they're as bad as the latest reviews make it sound then I may have to updat my review.

It's never a good sign when a place allows live music acts to perform, and only three booths face the performance area. And the regular KJ steals a crucial bulb from the lights that cover the stage because he doesn't like it when other performers, like legit singers and instrumentalists, come and steal his spotlight. Or when the server saunters up to the table like she's just been shaken out of a naughty daydream and can't remember whether or not the restaurant has happy hour pricing and can't find clean glasses, despite their sitting in a pyramid right behind the booth where we were sitting. Or when said server overcharges and the beleaguered bartender has to sort out the tab.

But the first warning sign that Geno's Grill was not the place for me came from the Toyota Tercel, which began clattering and sputtering and coughing its way down the freeway on the ride there. Its oil level downgraded from "tolerably low" to "destined to make you think twice about ever setting foot in Gresham again" within minutes. Due to the on the freeway status, nothing could be done. By the time the embattled TT rolled into Geno's parking lot, not even the three quarts of emergency gas station oil could save the TT from its eventual flatline. Although the path itself into the light was not entirely flat, but jerky and climaxing with an eruption of smoke from under the hood.

You know how animals sense instinctively when a natural disaster beckons? Or how moms just know when you're up to no good? I think the TT knew what a craptacular disappointment Geno's would be, both as a music venue and as a decent bar, and paid the ultimate sacrifice to get us to turn back, away from the 'Sham and its Joeys and Ginas. If only we had listened. Perhaps TT's passing would not be in vain. I hope the good deities are cranking up some sweet tunes and a pair of beautiful angels is getting it on in your backseat up as you parallel park through eternity in car heaven, TT.
