When I'm in Des Moines this is my "home away from home."  I've been going here for several years now and this where I look to first when I want to grab a quick bite to eat, or want to unwind with friends.  It's a relaxed, friendly  place where I go when I am trying to stretch a buck to it's maximum potential.  There's not many businesses that I can say were the catalyst for making friends, but this is one of them.

This is still the home for those rabid fans who support Des Moines' local sports teams.  If you're big on the Barnstormers there's no better place to rally before games or watch them when they are on the road.  They're the home of the Barnstormers road gamewatch.  There's a good chance you'll get to see players in here for gameday breakfasts and front office staff and ownership watching the road games on the big screen.

I'm a proud patron of this place.  I always get excellent service here and a real personal touch. It's not just a bar & grill. They're my friends. Scooter & Bab's you've won me over.
