Cheesy garlic bread was good. Pizza was very greasy, but tasty.

What a find. Really a great place to stop between Ausitn and Ft. Worth. The Veal Parmigiana sandwich was really good. The calamari was excellent.  The staff is friendly and provides quick service.

Passable as Italian food in a pinch, but otherwise I'd skip it.  It may be OK as a local place in the small town of Lampasas, but I've had better Italian at big chains like Olive Garden.  Service is friendly and efficient, which gains it the second star.

Giovanni's is a gem on a long road with not many other choices. We drove from Granbury to Austin, and hit the motherload when we held out for some decent food, even though we were almost to A-town.

The moment you step out of the car, the garlic hits out and reels you in. It's a little mom-and-pop place, with plain Italian dinner rolls to greet you. Order the cheesy garlic bread. It might look funny (cheese slices), but there's garlic under them there slices, and it's really tasty!

The menu is extensive. And by extensive, I mean there's more than just one eggplant dish on the menu. There's three, if you include the Eggplant Parmigiana sub sandwich. I'll be going back for that.

I had the Eggplant Parmigiana, my other half had the Chicken Parm. We both had leftovers for dinner tonight (read: large portions). I can't wait to leave work to get to them! The spaghetti sauce served with the parm was a little bland, but the eggplant made up for it! Lightly breaded, covered with the same sliced cheese. Don't let the slices fool you; it's good cheese.

Although we skipped dessert, they had at least 5 to choose from, including tiramisu, cheesecake, and cannolis. Yum.

The ambiance leaves something to be desired, but the food is why you're there anyway. Make sure you read the glass entrance door. Texas History!

    We'll be back for sure!

Giovannis is a hood stop in Lampasas. My calzone was good with plenty of cheese and sausage. A friend had chicken fettucini alfreado and said the sauce was excellent. Also, the house tomato salad dressing is worth a Yelp!

Also, the service was great with one of the nicest waitresses ever.

If we make another road trip and go through Lampasas we will stop again!

this restaurant really serves the community. it is a great family place with connections to 2 other restaurants in copperas cove and killeen. but these others are nothing compared to the one in lampasas. if only because of the wide range of pizza that they serve. it is always good and hot and they don't mind if you grab a sixpack at the HEB next door while you wait for you food! try this place out i make a trip there at least once a month. its well worth the drive!
