We went for dinner around 6pm on a Monday night. The restaurant wan't crowded at all, yet the service was awful. We ordered the Roasted Peppers with aged provolone cheese and it was basically 2 big peppers with melted cheese on it. It said fresh bread, but it was toasted, crusty bread which was not good. I had the mediterranean pizza and it was very bland. I was disappointed because I was craving pizza from a wood fire. Not even close. Kids meals are $4 and doesn't include drink! If you want a dessert you have to pay an additional $4. In my opinion, not a kid's place. If you're looking to sit at the bar, don't...there are only 4 or 5 chairs there. It's tiny. We went because we had a gift certificate...but we won't be back. Terrible service, not great food and not that great of an atmosphere. I say skip it.
Review Source:It's a casual and clean looking place. The waitress was pleasant as well. My wife ordered a burger medium rare and received a well done version. I also ordered a burger with mushrooms and onions with a side of sweet potato fries. The mushroom was raw and the bun was hard. The onions were MIA. And for the sweet potato fries, well, they were hard, chewy and too over-cooked. The waitress was good about offering to have a new meal prepared, but I declined as I lost all confidence in the cook's ability. The place was not busy as there were only three occupied tables and they already received their food. I asked that my meal be deducted from the bill and she complied. The cook didn't have the courtesy to come to us and apologize either. Like I said, he certainly wasn't busy. I'm not a fan of McDonalds or most fast food places, but you'll get a better meal there than you will at the Greenhouse. They need a new cook!
Review Source:Nice spot, acceptable prices. Â Service was really poor. Â As in, so bad we considered leaving when we sat for 20 minutes starving and thirsty.
It was NOT busy, so "being swamped" or "another waitress didn't come in" wasn't a valid excuse.
Opening drinks took WAY too long to come.
Napkins and silverware had to be requested (twice!) as the food sat there (once it finally came, which was way after the late opening drinks.
Items that were ordered never showed up.
An item that the waitress said she wold take off the bill was still on the bill.
All of these things are just bad service. Â Sad because the owner was walking around and had to see it.
Pizza was not good (as other reviewers noted), steak tips were "just ok, pretty bland", burgers were decent, bbq sandwich was good.
Boneless wings were quite good - best thing we had actually. Â Because the other food was pretty weak i actually ordered another load of the wings but guess what...they never showed up.
All 6 people in our party were pretty disappointed. Â All in all (speaking for my wife and I) we won't eat a meal there again...may stop in for a beer and apps only. Â If that! Â Too bad.
Tried it out, food was ok, but the service was so bad by lynne, that even though this place is close to home we will not be back. Most waitresses are apologetic if they feel busy so one can sympathize if that is the case, Â instead she rolled her eyes and gave a shrug when we asked for the check a second time after she made us wait 15 minutes already for it? Â Really? And it was not even overwhelmingly busy!
Review Source:Wife and I visited a few weeks ago, thought I should add our two sense. This place was a closed down greenhouse for a number of years, and it was re-built and turned into this restaurant. Good or bad depending on how you look at it, it shares the same general footprint .. very narrow side to side but somewhat long.
The front part is a bar and as someone else mentioned, it's hard to tell which door leads to the bar vs the restaurant so we walked into the bar and had to find our way back to the restaurant part. Tip to owners: put lights and signage out front directing people?
The bar was decently crowded when we went, and I drive by often and there seems to be a good amount of people in there. It's not big so I'm guessing 10-20 people fill it up pretty well. Going back to the restaurant there are some tables. Not sure exact # but I'll guess 10-15? It's definitely not a large place unless there was seating I didn't notice.
Hostess and server were very nice, we got seated and served quickly.
We had wings for an app and two entrees which I honestly don't really remember. One was probably a steak or steak tips, but I know both were fine. Asked for the really hot wings with sauce on the side. Got an order drenched with sauce. No problem, they said nibble on the first order for free and brought out an entire second order. Sauce was really good - and I have to say that most restaurants 'own sauce' for wings is either like every other buffalo sauce or just not that good - but I really liked this one.
I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of the layout and decor - it didn't seem..um.. that comfortable and the tables are fairly close. Perhaps it's because the place is so narrow that it seems confining somehow?
Anyway, the food seemed good and the prices fine. Next time - and we will definitely go back - I'll try the Pizza and see how that is. But I have to say this is a nice option for locals to try and recommend checking it out.
Wish I had read the reviews first. Have been driving by this place, meaning to check it out for the wood oven pizza. Finally got a chance to go out with hubby. We stopped in for lunch- it wasn't busy. We sat at the bar. First thing we noticed- the chairs are not comfy. They look nice, but they had a hard edge that actually dug into the back of your thighs. And it's almost like the footrest along the bottom of the bar should be raised because I at 5'5 couldn't have my feet reach it without scooting forward on the chair more, and I was dying to take some of that pressure from the barstools off my legs. The bartender was friendly, we each had a draft beer- they had a good selection.
We ordered a pizza- the Billy the Kid pie. It is made with their own pork carnitas, fresh jalapeños and tomatoes and drizzled with ranch and garnished with cilantro. We figured this place is a smokehouse, and has wood fired pizza, by ordering this, we would get a feel for what they do best. Well, if that's the best- run like hell.
The pizza's crust was no better than the crust on a cheap frozen pizza. Totally bland, not chewy, no taste of a wood oven. I'm not sure if the pork was saturated in cumin or if they actually poured it on the crust before baking, but it was all I could taste. Totally overpowering. The jalapeños were that dingy green color, like when you buy them in a jar, and I swear there was no cilantro on the pizza at all. But there was plenty of ranch. It was bathed in it.
It was a very bad pizza. I thought we were ordering well- after all, a wood fired oven? Their own smoked meats? If both the pork and pizza weren't winners, maybe they should rethink their concept.
I can't comment on the other menu items. I don't think we'd ever go back.
First of all, if you're going to write a review about a restaurant and take the livelihood of that person into your hands then you should be honest and not TELL LIES. Â This is their source of income and how they support their family, would you like it if someone came to your work and said lies about you?? Â At Jennikki J.-- I went there today after reading your review about the prices and thought it sounded ridiculous and now I know for a fact it is. Â All their burgers are $8.99. Â The steak tips are $9.99. Â And since I didn't have children with me I didn't get a price on the grilled cheese but according to your review i must ASSUME it was ......$51?! Â Oh wow, you must be the biggest sucker in the world or you fibbed. Â OR maybe there were other things on your bill you're not disclosing. Â Maybe alcoholic drinks since you made a fuss about that!. Â Don't bitch about prices then tell us only 3 things on your entire bill. Â Ok I'm done, Sorry it just really bugs me when people stretch the truth because its behind the anonymity of an online review.
ANYWAYS now here is my honest review. Â I've been a couple times and here's the good. Â Prices are great, drinks are good, buffalo wings are amazing. Â The sauce is not quite like the usual, it's a little smokier. Â If you like hot wings, def get the spicier ones, cuz we ordered just buffalo and they were pretty mild. Â Dressings are also homemade and delicious.
Now the bad. Â We went at a slow time and were surprised we never saw our waitress even though we were the only ones in the restaurant (not the bar) Â I would've ordered another wine, my husband another beer but we never saw her again after she dropped off the food until she came to drop off the check (I hope the owner is reading this because that is a loss of profit!) Â Andd now the really bad. Â The Pizza. Â Like another reviewer said, they def should not be marketing themselves as a wood fired grilled pizza location because it's not even close. Â I've had wood grilled pizza elsewhere and it's a world of a difference, you know when you're eating wood grilled pizza cuz you can taste it. The owner really needs to taste-test wood grilled pizza somewhere else and see the difference. Â The pizza at Greenhouse was not only NOT wood fire grilled but it was unusually bland. Â Just.....awful. Â
I really REALLY wanted to like pizza. Â And I hope someone there reads this and the other reviews about the pizza and tweaks the recipe. Â And I'd be willing to edit my review at that time. Â I think the restaurant has a lot of potential, they do have some great food items.

Trying to chock it up to being new, but this may be a one and done for us. A restaurant that touts a woodfired pizza..It was very lack luster haphazzaredly thrown together. Lots of unattentive wait staff with no apparent organization. Â From the layout of the restaurant to the food to the staff...it was just a big miss. Too bad, was really hoping to find a local place that was not a chain restaurant!
