A great little spot for breakfast. Love taking family here when they are in town you get a real taste of North Carolina food and culture! Nobody is in a big hurry it is more about spending quality time! Â Always amazed at how the food gets cooked just right! Â The place had a nice facelift a few years ago but the "Board of Directors Table" remains the same. If you grab a bite on a weekend take a stroll around but don't be surprised if you get captured by our town, and want to call it home!
Review Source:Cute little local place for breakfast. I had a country ham omelet with hash browns and biscuits. Everything was great. Portions were really large so come hungry. Also this place is busy on the weekends so either come early or plan to wait for a table. Service was wonderful. Food was brought quick and fast.
Review Source:We came here for breakfast a few Saturdays ago, looking for a local non-chain eatery. It was really busy late in the morning which we took as a good sign. It's not organized or run like a typical restaurant, but maybe that's how they separate the locals and the passers-by. We waited for a table to open up, but were not quick enough as 2 other groups who came after us snatched them up. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way I guess.
We finally got a table and ordered. The server was friendly enough and gave good recommendations. I ordered the pancake/egg meal and got the sausage link. Coming from someone who doesn't much care for sausage, it was excellent! Wife got the smaller version (can't remember what they called it) but eggs, bacon and a biscuit. Food was well cooked to order, service was appropriate and overall it was a decent breakfast. Maybe $15 for both of us, so not a bad deal at all. Other than the seating situation, we'd probably stop by if we came back to that area.
