First time customer, mid afternoon on a weekday, so not busy.  Service was good, food was good, ambiance was good, will certainly come back and try other menu items and take in a game or two of bowling.

Food prices keep going up while quality goes down. Staff is not attentive, with the exception of a few veterans. Very disappointing.

Last night was my first visit to Halftime Bar & Grill.  I went out to see a band that I like play. My 2 beers came out to a total of $8- fair price. No cover charge so that's always nice.  It's not on my side of town but I'd go back if there was a good band playing.

The service here is absolutely horrible. The first time ever coming to this restaurant we sat at the bar and the bartender was so drunk he was slurring his words and could barely pour our drinks. Then the manager preceded to yell and cuss from the kitchen so loud that we could hear and sent the man home. On another occasion we came for lunch, the restaurant was completely empty but it still took over an hour to get our food. The servers were sitting in the corner gossiping, cussing and texting on their phones. This place is gonna go downhill fast if they don't hire some decent managers to take control of the staff.

NO. no, no no no no. This palace is the worst, don't be suckered into trying it even once.
Since it's in Strikes, lets go with why it strikes out

First strike - The drinks are terrible. That's a Long Island? Did they buy it as a mix from walmart or something?

Second strike - The employees. They have no idea what's on their own menu and they are not happy to be at work and it shows. It really seems like you are bothering them if you ask anything at all. Could I please have a booth? Can I get a glass of water before you disappear for a half an hour? Maybe refill a beer? Get the check? No? They make you feel sorry for even asking. I've tried this place several times and have left each time confused, wondering if I just hit it at a time when they weren't really expecting customers or something. I actually asked my wife once "They want people to come here... Right?"

Third strike - The atmosphere might be the worst of anywhere I've ever been. This place is way, way to big for a sports bar. It's like your sitting -lost- in a huge theater or something. And when it gets packed you are just lost as the staff leaves you alone with the thoughts in your head, which at this point are wandering near that place that asks 'why the f**k did I give this place another try' ?

Never, never again. I only go bowling like once every five years, and I won't even come back for that - and this isn't even a review on the bowling alley that's attached!

Our first visit to Halftime Bar & Grill will not be our last! They are working on revisions to their menu, and I had their new "Halftime Club" with ham, turkey, bacon and cheese, and it was really delicious! A very large sandwich, perfect for sharing or having half now and half later. Hubby had fish & chips and said he was a fan. Service was very good - thank you, Bailey - prompt and efficient. Nice, pub-like atmosphere, and of course you always have the option of bowling at Strikes in the same building.

My boyfriend and I have both worked in restaurants for years. Even with the perspective of a server in mind, this entire experience was unacceptable. We arrived at 7 pm to a fairly empty restaurant and were sat right away. Between the time we were seated, ordered our drinks, and received our drinks, we were helped by three different employees. Fifteen minutes later our server, Trish, arrived claiming she didn't realize she would be serving us. She was clearly not familiar with the menu. She had no idea the grilled chicken came with potatoes and veggies, and that the chicken could be cooked three different ways. 30+ minutes after placing our order, only half of the entrees came out. Trish told us that they ran out of potatoes so the other entrees would be a few more minutes. Those of us who had our food began eating and we were almost done with our food before the rest of the food came out. The veggies and chicken were cold and soggy. At this point, I asked to speak to a manager. Trish asked why. I told her that we waited far too long for our food, with no apology or explanation, and that some of the food was cold. The manager came over shortly after, listened to our concerns and offered to remake our food. We declined because honestly we had eaten most of it and the food was not the biggest issue. We simply wanted to inform him of our poor experience so far. It all went downhill from this point. Trish came by and only picked up half the empty plates before disappearing into the back of the restaurant. The remaining empty dishes sat in front of us for twenty minutes. At this point, the manager made his way back into the dining room and started a chat with another table about 10 feet away.15 minutes later, another server came by to pick up the rest of the dirty dishes. We let this server know we had not seen Trish for some time, and we would like our check. When Trish finally came, my boyfriend told Trish again, that we were very unhappy with the service and that he would like her to speak to the manager about it. Instead of bringing our concerns to the manager, she tried to argue with my boyfriend. After a few minutes, I interrupted her to say that we didn't want to argue, we wanted the check so we could leave. Instead of accepting fault and attempting to fix the situation, she continued to blame the rest of the staff. At last, she went to get our check.  We had planned to go bowling after dinner, but by this time, it was too late for that. The manager continued talking to his friend, and we left completely unsatisfied.

WARNING:  I am highly disappointed.  We came in to try the new breakfast based on having a coupon from an Entertainment Book my wife purchased in January.  When we presented it to the waitress she quickly said they don't honor those and that they changed names a year and half ago.   I asked to speak to the manager and he came out and said they changed names or sold the Coaches business a year and half ago and they would not honor the coupon.   I drive by this place almost every day and never noticed they changed names. It is a bowling alley called Strikes which it is still called.

If they bought this business a year and a half ago in June they should have stopped the coupon from being printed.  In my opinion they should have at least honored a portion of it since it was pretty clear we were not the first to try and use the coupon.

We will not be back and I will share with all my friends and neighbors. It is a very short sighted business practice!

Aside from the poor management I must say the wait staff was very good!

My bf, sister, & I stopped in here a couple days ago to use a Groupon & have lunch. The place is huge & was almost empty. We waited quite a bit before the lone waitress spotted us & gave us a table. We ordered potato skins, sis & bf each got burgers, & I got the french dip. The potato skins came out quick & were really good! The burgers came out before the french dip. The burgers & fries looked good but we immediately noticed that the fries were cold. When my french dip came out, the fries with it were fresh, so it was evidently waiting on fresh fries. We mentioned that the fries were cold when the waitress asked how everything was, & she was quick to offer & bring us a new basket of fries. The fries were pretty good, but could use more seasoning. Sis & bf said the burgers were pretty good, but neither one finished theirs. My french dip was pathetically skimpy & had hardly any meat. The flavor was ok, but it was nowhere near as good as I wanted it to be. I would give 2 stars, for me it was just kind of a blah experience, but I'm giving Halftime 3 stars because my sis & bf were ok with their burgers & it's completely adequate bowling alley bar food. Still, it just wasn't that great & I wouldn't come back here.

Now that we've been here three times, it's time for a review!
This is a great spot for lunch. Everything we've ordered so far has been a winner.
I've tried the pear and turkey salad, the club sandwich and the steak nachos. All excellent.  They customized the BBQ chicken pizza and turned it into a buffalo chicken pizza for another member of our group, and it was excellent!  Another person in our group says the club wrap is amazing.
Wait staff is attentive, the seating is comfortable and roomy, and surprisingly little noise from the alleys. I selected "$$" for the prices but there are plenty of dishes under $10. Great place!

An absolute great place for too many reasons to list.. OK, I'll try! They just about everything for everyone, families with children (since the Strikes Unlimited Bowling Center is conveniently conjoined to the sports bar & grill), young - middle age & seniors alike, something for everyone! REALLY! If your a sports fan not a better place to watch big games, especially this upcoming football season 'cuz the have lots of seating and about 1000 HD TV's to watch your favorite team...

It's a super large venue with great service from a very friendly & attentive staff and mgmt team. The food is outstanding, happy is hour is great and they offer a variety of Live music for dancing and entertainment in the evenings as well.
Oh! & There's amble parking to boot!

Basically I can't think of a better place around our area to visit & be a frequent costumer of! IF you and your friends haven't been here yet... You definitely need to place them at the top of your list of places to visit!!

Been here twice both using groupons. The servers are nice, but the food is passable. We visited there tonight and their were actually people there tonight, most were drinking beers and watching the NBA finals. The first time we went there, it was a ghost town. On that visit we ordered the "Classic" burger and the beef fajita dish. The beef fajita was either over cooked or reheated because it was way too dry. The dish was very measly and my wife and kids looked at it and didn't want to try it. My wife's burger was ok, but she did mention to me that it was dry for being cooked medium. On our second trip I ordered the "Hangover" burger and wife had a large "All in" pizza. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and the waitress comes out and informs me that the kitchen ran out of eggs for the burger. I asked her "how can a kitchen not have eggs?' Needless to say I had to choose something else which was the "Ortega" burger. The pizza was slighty too salty for me and my wife. I think with all those salty meats on it made it salty. I asked for a rare burger and suprisingly the meat was cooked to my liking, although the overall burger lacked flavor. In conclusion, I would eat here only if I was in there bowling or something, but other than that I would not make a special trip.

I came into Halftime today(Fri) Jun 08 for lunch with my wife and noticed 1 other group of 3. As we placed our order, I let our waitress know upfront that we had a Groupon voucher. As we proceded to place our order at 12:10, we felt fortunate to have gotten there early before the 3 to 4 tables of guests who came after us. Well, 12:40 rolls around when our waitress(who disappeared)realized that we had not even received our appetizer! WE eventually received the appetizer then suddenly were given Chips and Salsa! My steak ordered was not cooked for consumption. I asked nicely to cook - again it, well. Well 15 minutes pass and I'm watching all the groups around us receiving their food promptly. By now, I could have cooked my steak on my forehead. I was steaming. My steak was returned and it STILL WAS NOT COOKED! After 15 minutes, the waitress informed me that "it still needed some time on the grill".
This place needs some serious help. I'd give it Zero stars if I could...Stay away!

Got a great groupon deal here. Found out later that only one groupon per party and there were 3 groupons in our party of 6.  The manager was so nice and let us sit together and use it all at the same time (we paid separately).  The food was really good and we were able to watch the sharks beat the stars that night on their many many TVs.  There was even a band to entertain us. Overall, a great experience that night with bowling, then a great dinner. Must go again!

    S-C-O-R-E!

I think the new name is HalfTime Bar and Grill... first time here and loved the food... had the 10-oz prime rib and was delish! This special is served only on Weds and Thurs so we were in luck... not only was the price right but we were also able to use our Entertainment book coupon and saved even more. They also advertise coupons elsewhere in Roseville ads so, yeah, we'll definitely be back! The place is big and I think it also accommodates live bands during the weekends... I know for sure that the Spazmatics (80's cover band) has had a few gigs here before in the past :)
