Food was really good. First time there. Came in for Italian beef since it is hard to come by in AZ. Only negative would be that it took 45 minutes to get 2beef sandwiches with fries and tots. They did apologize for the wait saying it was really busy. It was not busy. I would hate to see how long it takes on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall the sandwiches were just what I was looking for and will go back the next time that I am in town. Just pick up the pace.
Review Source:Good pizza and good drinks. A nice little casual place to meet with friends or grab a bite to eat after work.
The drink specials are always pretty good.
The only negative (to me at least) is you aren't a UFC/MMA fan, I suggest checking their website or facebook before heading over. It can be a bit overly busy on those nights that they broadcast the fights, and whichever fight is going on will be on every single one of the 20+tv's.
There crispy thin crust pizza is great. The staff is young but focused and pleasant. I enjoy their specials which can range from $6.00 pizzas to freshly prepared burgers. The food is consistent and very reasonably priced. My only complaint is that they cater to a all ages but mostly the young volleyball type crowd and that is reflected in the tap beer choices. No micro taps is disappointing and only mainstream Linnies, Bud and Miller type tap beer are offered. Come on 1/2 time, get some good beer on tap! Noise level can be high but come on be adventurous, you are looking for great pizza, no!
Review Source:I used to get wings from here every Tuesday night, but not any more. It seems like they have a hard time cooking your food the way you want. Tonight I ordered wings extra extra well done, even told the girl I wanted my wings left down in the fryer 4x longer then their normal cook time. What I got was wings cooked for their normal time, all mushy and NO CRISP! Not pleased at all.
Review Source:Great local stop in Johnsburg, IL. They have plenty of choices for everyone. Pizza is good, Ribs are good too! They always have drink specials for those that are on a tight budget. Plenty of TV's to catch a game or event. They also have live music and remotes from local radio stations.
Review Source:Halftime is definitely a townie bar, but I've never felt out of place here. Â They have really good food, and we always make sure we order cheese balls as our appetizer. Â The thin crust pizza is very tasty, and I've even seen other bars in McHenry advertising that they now serve Halftime pizza.
When you walk in be sure to check out the wall for their current drink specials. Â They have prices that you rarely find in places these days.
They have plenty of tvs for sports, but it's not the ideal place for the extreme fantasy football fans that want to watch every play of every game.
Rude staff. Long wait. I ordered a pizza, they got it wrong. Â When I called and offered to drive the pizza back, and get my correct pizza, the kitchen manager insisted it was MY mistake, and that if I wanted a new pizza, I could buy another (expensive) pizza, and he would get around to sending it. Â They were rude, completelty out of line, and will never get my buisiness again, which is sad because my family used to go there often, usually with big parties. Â Halftime can thank their Kitchen manager (Mike, I think his name was).
Review Source:This can be a townie bar sometimes but I always have a good time here. They have great drink specials every day and above average food for being a bar first.
I love their thin crust pizza and they have a great special for it on Tuesday's. I have had many of their appetizers and sandwiches and haven't been disappointed, the All-Star sandwich is top notch!
Inside they have a lot of tables to sit at and there are also a couple pool tables, dart boards, a punching bag game, buckhunter, and a TON of TV's. All the makings of a good bar. Great place to go and watch sports games.
This place is especially fun in the summer months because they have a HUGE back patio with another bar outside. Every night of the week they have Sand volleyball leagues playing on their two large courts that are overlooked by the patio.
I play Vball during the week there and have come in on the weekends and it's always a good time either during the week or on the weekends. It's a good place to go, especially for the area since there's not many other options.
Well, it's definitely the place to go if you want a high school reunion. Â Their rib quality has definitely decreased over the years, but their potato skins are still awesome. Â Good drink specials usually...cheap anyway.
Not my first pick when I'm visiting my parents, but definitely one place I'll usually stop if I want to run into the whole town. Â
Only annoyance with food, is that they brought the appetizer with the meal. Â Whats the point then? Â At that point, we didn't even want it...no space, too much food at once.
Greatest potato skins ever!!!! Â They literally scoop out the potato, and fill it with bacon. Â 4 cheese pizza is really good too, and I normally wouldn't get just cheese. Â Chicken ranch pizza good also. Â Sandwiches are good too, though their burgers can sometimes be hit or miss, but the chicken and steak sandwiches are usually good. Â Â Regarding the food service, delivery is a better option than trying to eat there, unless it's during the week, or not a peak time, like Friday or Sat night. Â good luck getting a waitress then.
Review Source:Halftimes! This is probably the one & only bar I miss from living in the northern burbs. This is where I started talking to my bff cause we were the only Round Lakers at the bar. I was all like "Hi!" and Stacy Y was like "Hey you're from RL!" And we haven't parted since, sigh.....anyway! They always have awesome drink specials, especially on the weekends! Out by me that is just unheard of! Love to hang out at the bar order some pizza & beer while watching a game on the tube. Or they have a nice deck outside to hangout & play (or watch) some v-ball. Every time me & Stacy Y are in the area we always make it a point to stop in for a beer.
