this is a straight up titty-mama type biker/dive bar and I love it.  It is some-what jamaican in theme and they typically have an outdoor grill loaded up with jerk chicken that is wonderful.  My favorite thing here is the banana daiquiris made with freaking fresh bananas and yummy yummy rum....they also serve up an authentic caipirinha which is the official brazilian rum drink and they are the best ever....there are little hammocks to sit in and also picnic tables to enjoy outside...it is always busy and you will wait for a table and service that is just how it is folks when your that damn good.  They typically have some live music on the weekends in the summer reggae typically which is fabulous.  Our waitress was about 70 years old with some long fake braided hair clipped in and short short  lycra shorts and she was so leatherly looking from years and years of sun exposure she was almost petrified--but she got our order and never let us run out of drinks so she is a winner in my book.....I would highly recommend going here on a lazy weekend afternoon and staying until sunset and chillaxin---

A fun place to stop at while boating down to Treasure Island, what appears to be a traditional Midwestern burger joint is actually a good Caribbean restaurant.  The food is as other reviews mention, somewhat pricey for what you get, but we enjoyed the nachos (portion a little small), and the tasty chicken sandwich.  Service was very ordinary, I too go the impression our server was inconvenienced by her job and was very short with us, I think she said 5 words the entire time we were there to us. But the food was delivered hot and prompt.  I guess that when a person goes to a place for cocktails and food on the river; in a very casual setting, one shoudl not expect 5 star service.  The bathrooms were small, and seemed not well cleaned/well kept.  The banana daiquiris were good.

We stopped here after a jet-skiing excursion on the river on a Wednesday afternoon. Red Wing, MN, doesn't seem to have any other public docks available, and Harbor Bar was the only place we found to dock our jet skis and grab a bite to eat. As first-timers, our impression was not favorable.

Coming from the dock, it was unclear where we were supposed to enter the restaurant. We looked at a couple different exterior doors that faced the river, but neither was obvious as a patron entrance. Thankfully, another patron noticed our confusion and directed us to the correct door. The inside of the facility was a pretty typical dark and dank bar atmosphere that reeked of Pine Sol, so we chose to eat outside on the patio. We found a lack of viable seating options for our party of four, but settled on a too-small table in the shade.

Our waitress was very unfriendly. When she greeted us at our table and took our drink order, she said she would get a rag to wipe down our filthy table. Several minutes later, she returned with a full drink tray and a rag. We removed our menus from the table, anticipating she would wipe it down and then set down our drinks. Instead, she set our drinks down first, then haphazardly wiped around them. Then, when she began to take our food orders, she barked, "What do you want?" in a very rude tone. Her overall demeanor towards us made us feel like we were a burden to her. However, we overheard her interacting with other patrons nearby, and she was much more friendly and enthusiastic, so I am not sure what we did to merit the rude treatment.

I ordered the veggie wrap, which came with "fresh cut french fries". The wrap was comprised of stir-fried vegetables. It was tasty, but the entire underside of the wrap was soggy from whatever sauce they used to stir fry the veggies. In turn, most of my fresh cut french fries were also soaked from the puddle of sauce on my plate, but even the ones that weren't touching the sauce were soggy.

A couple of positives: Our food came quickly and it seems they are attempting to create a fun outdoor environment with funky, colorful picnic tables and hammocks hanging about, but when the service and food aren't up to par, putting lipstick on a pig isn't usually enough to impress patrons.

Overall, we were not impressed with anything about this place and will probably not choose this restaurant again.
