I don't shop here and I don't eat here very often. I go to the movies here only because I get free movie passes from work. I go to some of the summer concerts, but the crowd seems more into themselves than the music. The parking is a nightmare unless you go for a late night movie. The location is PERFECT for pictures, but it's usually swarming with bratty kids.

Great location to grab some drinks, eat some great food and enjoy the sight of the lake.

Parking is the only issue... tons of parking, but also tons of cars...

The Harbor is a wonderful place.  That's why my business is located there!  I offer Trampoline Assembly and Sales in the Rockwall / DFW Market.

We went here for one reason and one reason only-picture opportunities for my two graduating seniors.  I have to tell you the place delivered!
This is a great little area on Lake Ray Hubbard that has a little something for everyone-eateries,shopping, photo ops.  It is a nice area to just walk around and take your time checking everything out.
The photo ops are great.  They have fountains,a light house, the lake as a back drop.  We got some great pics of the kids and will probably come back to get some family photos later.  We were lucky-we went right after work and beat the rush.  It can get really crowded in nice weather-really crowded.

Beautiful setting with the lake backdrop.  They had this big ship offering excursions one summer for a decent fare.

Lots of shops. not really my cups of tea though)

Good selection of eateries.(Gloria's, Luna de Noche, Campisi's, Marble Slab, etc)

Movie theater. (expensive and the service is never just stellar...i'm just sayin)

Free Summer and holiday events.(summer concert on the lake series, kids activities and play areas during Easter, etc)

Water sprinkler thingamajigs for the kiddos to run around in

Valet if you just can't walk...c'mon.  (overpriced)

Lovely Hilton hotel. (though I have never been in)

Good walking, people-watching or just reflecting on life area (pier and other sitting areas)

Parking is plentiful though it does get crowded quick (Be ready! like mentally and physically)

    Nice Rockwall attraction.

I like the Harbor, I really do.

I am a resident of Rockwall, and enjoy going to the Habor to catch a movie or dinner. But the overall experience is a little lacking to me. I think an Apple Store would be the perfect business there to round it out.

If you guys have ever been to Orlando's "City Walk" and Universal you know the vision of what the Harbor COULD be. But it's not. Cramped parking, few selections for shopping and an abundance of teenagers take the sheen off of this places potential.

Getting to it is not very easy either, at least from a outsiders point of view. There needs to be more obvious signage to get down to it, and once there, more parking.

You can get your valet parking validated at many of the restaurants, so do that and don't worry about the hassle of parking.

Agave is about as close as Rockwall has to a "night club" besides Applebee's, which I dont know is sad or small town charm. It is what it is.

I am holding out hope that someday with new tenants and a few improvements the Harbor can become a DFW shopping and entertaingment destination.

The Harbor is a fun place to check out if you're bored, with family, have never seen it before, and/or a tourist. There's plenty of shops and places to eat around there, and there's usually something's going on to watch on the water (fishermen, jet skiing, boats, sails, etc.)

DO NOT GO ON WEEKEND NIGHTS! Or most nights for that matter. The tons of obnoxious tweens are on the loose, and now that Gloria's/Agave/etc. have opened up nearby there's drunk people galore after 10pm on weekends, on top of the many texting tweens. The movie theatre within walking distance also adds on to the crowd, and don't say you weren't warned when I type that PARKING CAN BE A NIGHTMARE. Plan accordingly if you're visiting on a busy night or in groups/multiple cars. Some of the restaurants have valet, though. I think...

However, on a nicer note, the Harbor is an excellent place to take a stroll on a lovely Sunday afternoon, Texas weather permitting.

Love love love!! Prefect place to come any day, any time, with whoever! Bring your parents, your bff, your children, your dog, your pastor, your boy toy, your grandparents - its literally a fun place for anything that breathes :)

Great restaurants with amazing food and drinks.  You can shop - You can go to the spa - You can watch a movie - You can go on a boat ride - They have concerts and different events that go on throughout the year. If you haven't checked it out yet... GO!

The Harbor in Rockwall is a difficult place to judge. It looks great and I love the mixture of a commercial center with a movie theater, hotel and restaurants with a public park featuring a splash park for the kids and nice views of the lake. There also is a lovely fountain area though the fountain is often turned off.  From the stand point of a diner the best part of the Harbor are the large patios facing lakeside. This seems like a great place to eat and drink oneself into oblivion on a nice spring or fall or this year even winters day. I'm not a boat guy but if I was I would be impressed how you can park your boar right there and traveling between the series of bars and restaurants on Lake Ray Hubbard.

All this makes it sound like the Harbor should be get five starts but there are a couple of major problems. The first one is that if you are not eating or going to the movies there is not much to do here. There are amazingly few retail shops and as such The Harbor should not be thought of as a 'shopping center' more of a dining and entertainment complex. I like all the restaurant space here but for someone wishing to relax the day away there should be window shopping and even regularly shopping to do here. There are a few stores but they are mostly small specialized kind of places. The lack of retail is not surprising as there is so much retail just on down I-30 in Rockwall but still there is so little here it shocked me.  The second problem is that despite a few smaller chains or even one or two independent places to eat, the Harbor is dominated by many of the same DFW Chains one can get anywhere in North Texas. These are not bad chain places, in fact such eateries as Glorias and Luna de Noche or great chains, I would still like to see more unique places. The appearance of a Ruby Tuesdays would be of no note many other places but there are very few in the DFW area so in fact Ruby Tuesday's is a place that is distinctive in the Harbor.

If you are in Rockwall and want a simple dinner and a movie, this has to be the best place to go. It is also likely a five star place to get off the road to spend a night at the hotel. This place sure beats your average motel with a fast food place in the parking lot but overall the Harbor needs more places to shop and more personality. The last half of that statement could be made about so many suburban developments.  This is a 3 and  1/2 star place, so I guess I'm feeling generous today.

I want to LOVE the Harbor. It's beautiful. It's clean. It's a fantastic addition to Rockwall. But it's pricey, which is to be expected. And restaurants and businesses keep leaving b/c the rent for them is too high. Also, there are FOUR Mexican restaurants. That's a lot. I love Mexican food as much as the next Texan, but I would like more options. (There's also Cajun, 2 burger places, 2 ice cream places, and an American Fare.)

So if it weren't for the in and out businesses (you can't used to something being there for long) and lack of type of foods to choose from, I'd give this place another star. It's always going to be expensive b/c of the location.

I've gone to the Harbor in Rockwall since it opened a few years ago and WOW!   If you want to make a good impression on someone then this is your spot!

The location is right on the lake and loaded to restaurants, bars, movie theatre, nice hotel, the most amazing relaxed sailboat cruise, my #1 cigar shop, etc... so it has made for a great bachelor party or get away weekend location.  Whether it's hanging out with the guys, or a date night with my bride and spending time with the whole family, The Harbor is always a go to location for nice weather.

The Harbor is great. I live right next door and the view is amazing. There is people watching live no other. It's the perfect place to go on a date or to relax and watch the waves crash up against the rocks. There is also a splash fountain for kids to play in and is on everyday.

Every Thursday they have live music all night. It's usually local unknown bands but the places around there have good deals on food and drinks. If going, you have to eat at Glorias. It's great!

I absolutely love the Harbor in Rockwall! There could be a little more shopping ... but two really fun places to go are Gloria's and En Fuego. My husband and I usually go to Gloria's and sit outside taking in beautiful view of the lake as we dine al fresco. They specialize in Salvadorian food but I love their Tex Mex Combination #1. Um mm you get a little bit of everything! The moment you walk in they treat you like family and service there is exceptional! After lunch/dinner at Gloria's we head over to a really cool cigar shop En Fuego. My husband says the prices are a little higher than some places, but the atmosphere is cozy upscale with fireplace, plasma TV and comfy leather lounge chairs, It's BYOB...but they usually offer free wine as well. He is a real cigar affection ado and this place rates really high for him. Vast selection in the humidor and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
