When I see people hang out in barber shops in the movies, it looks like a great place for men to hang out, cut up and generally socialize with the breathren. Thats exactly what you get with Heights Cigar Lounge....a great place to check-in, have a smoke and socialize at will with the other patrons. However, for it to work, you need a good barber errrr host, and that is ably provided by Doug and Paul when I have been here. Sure, you can find shops with a bigger selection and even a bigger smoking room, but I dare you to find a place with the casual unpretentious vibe that D&P create at HCL. In addition to being good  hosts, they know the product and are more than willing to help you make that custom selection. Bring your computer, grab a coffee next door and stay as long as you like, smoking your favorite cigar.

Being a long-time pipe smoker I wasn't sure how to pick a cigar since its been awhile, but after talking to the owners for a few minutes they were determined to find the right cigar for me. Doug spent 30 minutes talking with me about various cigars and giving me tips on picking out a cigar. Soon after we were sitting at the table puffing away and talking like long tie friends. The staff was incredibly friendly offering me all types of information on the store and upcoming events. I would highly recommend this place if you are a cigar smoker or have a group of people who just want to get together and have a smoke. Its nice (especially in Houston) to have an air-conditioned building in which to smoke.

Â I felt absolutely no discrimination or animosity toward me for being a female walking into (what would be typically) a man's domain. Â The overall environment of the place was very clean and relaxed as well. Â Whether you are an experienced smoker or a newbie (like myself), I highly recommend this place.
Review Source:Doug was the perfect host. I am not a regular cigar smoker and do not know much about cigars. Doug took the time to explain to my girlfriend and I exactly what to look for, how to distinguish age, and just things to look for when selecting a cigar. He was not snobby (like some other establishments) and made is feel welcomed and comfortable. The establishment itself is beautiful with dark oaks and leather chairs. Its a beautiful establishment with even better employees.

I have been a long time member of this lounge. The service was great at first, but it has severely declined. I have been requesting that they order my preferred brand of smokes for a solid six months. I am always reassured that they will be in "soon." I adore the atmosphere of the lounge, and the people that frequent it. The employees are polite, and enjoyable to chat with. I have simply become frustrated, and disappointed with the service.
If the service ever changes, towards me, I'll gladly revise my review.
This place is awesome. Doug and Paul are the best. I'm a long time customer and finally got around to doing this review. I would live here if they didn't kick me out. Great prices, great atmosphere, great people. What's not to love???? If you don't come here, you're not doing it right.

Â Doug and Paul are second to none in the customer service, and the other patrons have been nothing but friendly. Â Once I started going I couldn't stop. Review Source:Great location, Â love this historic street and the interesting setup in the windows, which makes it enticing to enter. Reasonable prices. The selection was limited, but they have plenty of room in the humidor to expand. Nice furnishings, comfortable seating. Customer service was good. Spent a recent holiday hanging out here with my Fiance who is quite the Cigar geek , which means he is pretty knowledgeable about his sticks. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Review Source:Heights Cigar Lounge is as good as it gets. Â I believe this is the largest walk-in humidor in the city with a great selection for all tastes and price budgets. Â Jenny and Paul make everybody feel very welcome and there are some great oversized chairs and couches for kicking back and relaxing.
