NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT GO HERE.
The single worst dining experience of my life, airport or otherwise. STAY AWAY. PLEASE.
I was fuming by the time I left. I won't recount the visit in detail because I don't want to feel like that again, but the Atlanta airport authority and Heineken should be ashamed to be associated with an establishment as shittily run as this place. It is an embarrassment to humanity.
I'm serious.
This is my first 1-star rating. This place is a dump. I hope the airport sees how bad it has become and throws them out. I would not want the Heineken name associated with this place, and I'm surprised they haven't pulled the plug on it. Â
Food and drinks taste old and are served as if you are inconveniencing the staff.
Not worth it, even if you have hours to burn. Better to get a day-pass in a lounge or go just about anywhere else.
I could not find anything redeeming about this place, and since I waited an hour for nachos, I had a lot of time to try and find something positive.
Do not go up the escalator. Turn around.
The Heineken Bar sounds so much better than The Smoking Lounge. Â I don't know why people are giving it bad reviews. Â There's a big sign before you go up in he escalator that says smoking that way. Â And the other establishments are all non-smoking. Â If you don't smoke, be prepared to be around a bunch of smokers. Â It's the only place in the airport that you can smoke in.
Anyway - I'm giving it 2-stars because I have had better. Â It delivered exactly what I was told. Â A Heineken and my cigarette for my layover.
I wish I could give zero. This was the worst dining experience of my life. Drinks were sooo watered down. Food was terrible. They don't serve most of the things that are on the menu. I got a veggie burger and it was just a microwaved Boca burger on a piece of pita bread. That's seriously all. And my only side option was a bag of Lays potato chips.
And the waiters were SO RUDE to everyone. They were rushing everyone through their meals and getting so exasperated when customers would take a long time to order. And of course it was crazy expensive--I paid over $20 for a microwaved Boca burger and a water martini. Bars in airports should be pleasant and relaxing. This place is terrible.
It's a den of iniquity and tobacco! Hip hip hooray! I love watching the faces of the "Anti-Everything" people with a crowd of kids in tow. Come on it's a bar where you can smoke that carries decent grub. I've had a kickin little chicken sandwich and some good soup. And I got compliments galore on my schmoke. In the Land of cigarettes, the Cigar is King!
Review Source:Hard to find a worse place than this anywhere. You take the escalator up and end at a sign that says seat yourself. You are standing in the middle of tables and a small bar that is all smoking and smoked filled. There is a tiny area off to the right that had four tables filled with customers for non smoking. The rest of the area was closed off. Family with a child asked if they could sit further back in the room to get away from the smoke and were told they were short on help so they couldn't allow any more tables - hmmm - same thing last time - and I didn't learn. Two military personnel moved the blocked chairs and we all sat down. Never saw anyone again for over 15 minutes so left and went to next worse place - Sam Adams pub. At least there the food stunk but your clothes didn't from the overhang of nicotine you wade through AGAIN on your way out. What a stupid stupid set up. They should just advertise it as a smokers lounge so people wouldn't waste their time going upstairs.
Review Source:I wish I could give a zero star, because we never got to eat there! It was so unbelievably smokey, even in the nonsmoking section. It was self-seating, but no one ever greeted us or acknowledged our presence at all after we sat down. A server walked by several times. Guess she had better things to do than make money!
Review Source:Service a bit slow, but friendly and competent. Â Beers expensive, Â but same price as elsewhere in the Atlanta airport. Â Food fresh with some good salads if you want something light, but not terribly inventive; food A-OK. Â Non-smoking area in back, need to walk through bar to get to it; this may be a turn-off for some, and definitely not a plce for kids, which is too bad because great views of the jets in the gate area could keep them entertained. Â Overall, only two stars even for an airport bar/grill; no particular reason to come back, unless you want a place to smoke.
Review Source:Meh food (airport... But its decently quick). Meh service. Great if youre a smoker, but everyone at the table has to order something (which isnt posted ANYWHERE). I'm a non-smoker engaged to a smoker. We stopped in so he could have one and a beer, I had to order something too. Pretty rediculous seeing as he ordered something. If you have to smoke and want to eat fast, place for you... But don't expect much
