I had the Nama Chirashi and it was tasty (bed of rice with raw fish on top).
This isn't a good place for a leisurely lunch because they close between lunch and dinner and they are quite assertive about hurrying you along if you you're still there near closing time (2 pm). This is also not a good place for a late lunch for the same reason.
I would recommend not eating in this restaurant. If you can, get your food as a carry out order. The sushi is decent, but I would recommend going somewhere else in town.
I had a very bad experience with the wait staff at this restaurant. We arrived, were not greeted, were not told about the options of where to sit. The only words we were told were, "This way". The waitress proceeded to lead us onto the elevated seating area, where apparently it is mandatory to remove your shoes. I would have been fine if I had known this ahead of time, or had been asked if I would like to sit at a normal table or in the special seating area. But I received no instruction. We reached the top of the stairs when suddenly our server turned around quickly and said, "Take off your shoes", without any warning, stopping us dead, standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant with this new information. We said, "Oh, no we are not interested", and were seated at a lower table, shoes intact. There we sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to take our order or offer drinks, still shaken and frustrated by the lack of courtesy shown to us, and after a few more minutes decided to leave and not to support the restaurant. As we got up and left out the front door, passing at least 3 servers including the one who had seated us, we received no greeting, no attempt to make eye contact or even ask why we were leaving.
We will not be going here again. Bad service is a deal breaker.
