Recently, I visited here on a Friday Night. It is truly a "hideaway" in that the bar is NOT situated along the roadway. You cannot see it from the main roadway (OId Alexandria Ferry Rd). It is located in the rear of the lot with Route 5 running nearly over top of it.
It your typical bar, watering hole type of spot. There is a bar inside. There are also tables where you sit down, eat and drink. There are also several pool tables in the back.
The crowd was a friend described as "local". However, they were pretty festive and mostly danced when good classic hip-hop, go-go or slow songs were played. If you are used to going to spots like The Fish Market, La Fontaine Bleu, My Place Sports Bar and Half Note Lounge, then you will not have a problem with the crowd here.
The bartenders were courteous and attentive. Whatever you may be drinking, when your glass or bottle is almost empty, they will promptly ask you if you need a refill. In terms of food, I had their fried chicken. I must say that their fried chicken is probably the best of all the PG County establishments that I have been to over the years(for whatever that is worth).
If you looking for a local, watering hole type of place in PG County, MD with a 20 to 40 something crowd with good go-go, hip-hip and R&B music, this is your spot.
