My husband and I are recent transplants from the Pacific Northwest and love to explore on our Harley's. After reading about this place online my husband and I took the short 50 minute ride from Katy to check it out. Â We passed several bikers along the way and pulled into the Hill around 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning. The lady at the counter was super friendly and told us they've been in business since 1958, which means they must be doing something right. I ordered the southern style breakfast, which is 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage patties or links, hash browns and toast or biscuit, for $6.95. My husband ordered the triple cheeseburger and fries, with a soda and our total was under $15. The inside of this little place is decorated in nostalgic coke memorabilia, with 5 tables and the outside covers patio had more tables. Service was great and quick - they brought our food to the table. My breakfast was exactly what I was expecting - not terrible and not memorable - but good ole breakfast. Just the way I like it. My husband's cheeseburger came with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. Â I tried his burger and we both agreed that it was good, but lacked seasoning. His crinkle cut fries reminded us of the frozen Ore-Ida's you buy and bake at home. We both said we will definitely try them again the next time we roll through town.
