I had a craving for some wings so I went ahead and grabbed 20 breaded wings with sauce on the side.
It was $20 for 20 wings and I was severely disappointed. They were dry, over breaded and the drums were meager to say the least.
20 wings at Publix is less than $10 including tax, more meat and better flavor. Don't waste your $ if you're going for wings.
Welcome to south Florida! This place is by a very large mall. I was doing some shopping and stopped in for happy hour. Drinks and apps were half off. I recommend the buffalo shrimp. They are really delicious.
It's an awesome place to catch NBA games. The bar wraps around to the outside and back inside again in a large loop that provides plenty of seating.
Last, but not least, the staff is quite attractive. I'm guessing the local school, FAU, supplies most of its employees. Starting to think I should have gone to college in south Florida.
WHAT HAPPENED??
Came last week - out of steak sandwiches, came this past Thursday Night - out of Patron' ??? How the heck does a bar run out of tequilla???
Not sure who does the ordering there, but get it right... Staff was miserable, asked to see a manager about the steak Sandwich, he never came out. Waitress told me he was "in the office" and told him to come out... and never saw him.
Very dissapointed to see this place go south.
I just left after the absolute worst experience at this location. We got there at 7:55pm, the restaurant wasn't busy. Infact, for what it usually is, it was quiet. At 8:10, a waitress who had been sitting at a table since we walked in, came over and took our drink order. Lazily dropped off our drinks, walked away and went back to sitting at the table. At 8:18, our waitress came by, introduced herself, took our order and walked off. By 8:43pm we had not gotten our appetizer, we asked if the appetizer was coming out or if they were still making it because if so, we would leave. The waitress went back to the kitchen area, asked the cooks, with a manager there as well, came back to us 3 minutes later and said our food would be out in 60 seconds. I told them I wasn't going to wait, they asked if we wanted the food wrapped up to go, we declined.
It's beyond me. If we stayed an extra 10 minutes we would have been sitting there, starving, for an hour.
Now. I've been a waitress before. I understand that the waitress we had was slammed, but there were two others sitting at a table, one had her cellphone out, the other briefly counting her tips, chit charting. Or as I like to say, hardly working. If you're a server, and you are busy, you can ask someone or a manager to help you if you are "in the weeds". It's sad that our waitress can't rely on her fellow staff members for support. She lost out on a $50 tab and a decent tip on a slow Monday night. Â
After leaving, I noted to myself that a manager had not come over to talk to us, to at the least apologize or let us know it'll be a minute for our food to keep us at bay. That's poor customer service on their part.
Usually it's not this bad. I've come to this location several times over the past few years. The service is never really outstanding. Food is always decent and location is always clean. Maybe it's a fluke night, but it's definitely going to take some coaxing for me to come back.
Okay, this is a "Hooters" - just like most large chains, you should know what to expect on the menu. Â It's their same famous hot wings, curly fries, and sandwiches as every other Hooters on the planet.
I'll give this Hooters one more star for these reasons:
- the building is newer, and I believe it's large and laid out nicely. Â Nice outside area with bar and high-tops, and large inside area - even with a lounge for private events
- the girls. Â Yes, it's a Hooters, so expect Hooters girls. Â I've been to several locations of this restaurant chain, and the girls here are pretty and personable. Â As a matter of fact, the 2012 Miss Hooters International is based at this restaurant!
Genre for rating: Hooters, a class by itself
As far as Hooters go, this one is about par for the course. Ratings for Hooters should be broken down into three basic categories: children friendliness, quality of the wings, and staff. My Hooters reviews going forward will be based on these three factors.
Children friendliness: ***
Wing quality: ***
Staff: ***
What I get: beer, salad, hot wings, fries
Was in Boca Raton for one night for work and I needed a sports bar close to my hotel. Hooters was suggested to me and it was only 2 blocks away, perfect!
I walked up to one of the girls and asked if any of the TV's was showing the Mets game. She looked at me as if I had 2 heads, so i asked again. Â She wasn't sure so she asked the guy standing next to her who happen to be a Manager. Â He asked me to find any seat and he would make sure the TV I was facing had the Mets game showing. I chose to sit at the bar, easy for everyone.
We all know that the women working here are here for how they look in the Hooters uniforms and the girls here were no exception. Â Beautiful and more beautiful. Â The Bartender, Erika, was very friendly and got my drink right away while I pondered over the menu. As this was going on, the Manager switched the main bar TV to the Mets game as promised. Â I ordered my food and the rest of the night was as expected. Â Food came out hot and fresh and my drinks were replenished as needed. The prices are the same at every Hooters so if you come here then you know what to expect there.
The missing STAR in my rating is for 2 things: (1) The girl in the front who didn't know about the sports game I wanted to watch and (2) I was pretty much left alone the whole night with only a few "you doing OK there" comments from the bartender. Â This sounds petty but in any other Hooters I was at, especially since this one was so empty this night, the girls would normally talk to you for a few minutes. Â
The place was very clean however and if I'm ever in town again I would drop by for the views.
Stopped by tonight with a buddy. Was watching UCF game at home and I was a little nervous walking in because they had UFC on everywhere, so I didn't think they would change any of the TV's. Sat at the indoor bar because their outdoor bar allows smokers. Ericka the bartender was awesome. She got the manager over and they put on my game right away. When my buddy showed up we ended up staying later to watch the UFC fights (which we are not huge fans of) but the entire place was into it, which got us into it. Very good crowd of people and very friendly. Ericka the bartender as on point as well. Food was good for a sports bar and beer was great. Decent selection. So for a sports bar I'm giving it a 5! And of course I wouldn't be honest if I did not mention the girls. The girls were all business but at the same time added to the experience. From a business perspective they balanced cute outfits, smiles and great service perfectly!
Review Source:First of all, it's Hooters so you really can't be going here for the fine dining. So if you are in the mood for a sports bar, this place is pretty good. The layout is great with plenty of TVs, a big bar, patio seating that is great in the evening. The Burgers and wings are good enough and coming from New England, I dig these southern girls! Â My waitress was ferociously hot and nice. Â South Florida dudes are a funny bunch though with their jersey haircuts and designer t shirts and there are (of course) alot of them here. Â But you are in boca so.... Â All in all a solid choice if you are in the right headspace.
Review Source:Well, first at one point some of the staff ran around banging plates together singing/chanting something, it was indecipherable and annoying. Â We waited 10 minutes(party of 2) around 1pm even though there were several open and bussed tables. Â The food was quick and standard for hooters(We did get charged for Ranch 69c thats kinda ridiculous). Â The talent could be better, although i guess its hard to keep them on hook through the delays in opening, maybe another Mall Scouting is in order. Â at least they were too busy to hang out with us and pretend to be into us for a bigger tip.
