It's time to get funky. Â I have driven by this place quite a few times and made my first appearance last night. Â There is quite a selection of homemade brews to choose from. Â The hookah choices seemed like they were endless. Â They also got pizza and tea to eat and drink. Â The unwinding vibe makes you want to sit back and relax. Â It may not look like it from the outside, but when you walk in, you're in a whole different world. Â They had local bands playing there for Monday mic night. Â It wasn't packed, so all of us were able to sit together and bullshit. Â Now, that's cozy.
Review Source:It never ceases to amaze me when I come to places like this, the variety of cool things that we just don't have back at home.
If I weren't coming with a bunch of other Yelpers I would have never noticed the generic strip mall signage, or the generic strip mall itself. The outside isn't really that inviting..
Once I entered it was a totally different story. It's a cool little hookah lounge the smells amazing. I like this place already!
What really set this place apart is the beer they brew in house. One sip of Bob's Backyard Chili Mango Wheat and I was blown away. And I'm not a beer person!
Can I bring some home with me please??
It didn't stop there however, they also had live bands playing decent rock music.. cool!
This place is a complete package. I could see myself hanging out here on a regular basis.. too bad it's almost an hour away from me.
After a great yelp event. We decided to keep the party going at The Funky Buddha. I have been here 3 times and it has always been a great experience.
The place is very nice and cozy. The bartenders are very welcoming and know the beer well. I like tasting before choosing. My first pick was the Hop Gun IPA. It was bitter and strong but delicious. On Mondays they have $10 hookahs and Homemade JAM Improv Music Night. It was nice to watch different local bands perform. They all did great and kept us all singing along. The place was not too packed so we all were able to sit at a table together.
My next beer pick was Bob's Backyard Mango Chili Wheat. I love mango and chili. This was the perfect combination. It was tasty and refreshing. I liked the spicy affect at the end. This is definitely on of my favorite beers.
I would definitely be back to try other beers. The place is relaxing and nice to just hangout with friends.
